3 years ago this week for me, i was involved in gnarly accident. Was struck by a large vehicle, thrown 30 feet, 6-7 surgeries, lost a limb, nasty nasty concussion. I was unconscious for 5 or 6 days.
Obviously different physical traumas, but i would guess the public would be surprised how much a victim like that can remember.
I didnt remember anything about my accident, where i was/how i got hurt or any of my week in the hospital. Slowly with time, i started getting poloroid snapshots of different moments within that week.
Years later i can remember several different clips from that first week. Will be interesting to see him fully recover and maybe get to watch his perception of his accident grow over the years as he tells the story.
I half tried to share my perspective, half needed to vent a little here too. The timing of this so near my anniversary, has made me a little bit more raw this week than in past years. So thanks for that ❤️
God bless you Shredder!

Was it Brett Favre who had a career game the night after his dad died?
Lets bring in mandatory mental health/grief counselors for our coaching staff/players, but giving up on the season is one of the worst possible things we could do.

I don’t care about the outcome of the game at this point. Whether we forfeit, whether we tie, whether this is a healthy scratch and this turns out to be a 16 game season for us with an asterisk next to our name, I do not care.
God bless Damar, that’s all that matters. I do hope we crush the Patriots next week though.

Bills should just forfeit this one.
Onto the Patriots.

Damar Hamlin had everything that leads to a better outcome going for him: Immediate CPR, immediate oxygen administration, immediate use of an AED (automated external defibrillator.
His odds are likely to be even better than the 58% given for more recent 6 years.
No, no. Don't toss around statistics from the land of "Someone Did My Own Research and came up with a Thing" God Bless Us Every One who try to educate ourselves, but the flaw is when you're not in that field, you don't necessarily see all the publications, you aren't able to put the results in context and critically evaluate the big picture.
Thing that scares me is that he’s been in a medically induced coma for almost a full day now.. Anything beyond that point worries me even further.

I think football builds character and it teaches a lot of life lessons. I wouldn’t force my kids to play football, but I wouldn’t say no if they wanted to play either.

What happened to Damar was freakish, this was not a malicious hit, we see these kinds of hits a thousand times a game. Bad luck, wrong place at the wrong time. This type of outcome probably has a fraction of 1% of happening.

Really? All I see in this thread is love for Damar.

Burrow just went to the Bills locker room per Joe Danneman
Doesn’t surprise me. He’s a classy kid and humble.

No, for me the disappointment is that some people simply refuse to get it.
"It" being that evaluating picks too early is a ridiculous mistake.
Epenesa didn’t do much until his third year. DE is not RB, it tends to have a learning curve.

Tre hasn’t been his best but that’s understandable. I still think that he’s looked good out there though. Give him another 5-6 weeks when we’re deep into the playoffs and he’ll be fine.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba
I’ve done very light research but this man intrigues me. As does Cedric Tillman. Not saying it’s “too early” for draft talk, I just don’t know enough to deserve an opinion on anything. I do know that Marvin Harrison Jr. is going to be an absolute monster in a few years though.
My #1 FA for Buffalo would be Mike Gesicki. He had a bad year, he’ll be cheap and Buffalo could run Twin TE/Big/Jumbo sets with him and Knox.
Bills desperately need OL help as well.

How about “The Other Josh” ?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

A side benefit of our substandard O-line is that Knox has developed into a solid run blocker, ranked in the top 10 among TE's in that area.
Oh, absolutely. Knox has been incredible. I admire how he fought through his brother’s death. Imagine pairing Gesicki up with him. Imagine.

Fix. The. O-line.
Re-sign Devin Singletary and fix the OL so we can produce in a RBBC. Draft two if not three linemen.
As far as WR goes next year, I think the Bills should go hard after Mike Gesicki. He will not cost much and having two dual TEs who can catch and block will not only open up the passing game but the run game as well.

What are the second impressions?
Remember what I said in the OP. Cook has top 10 potential but I questioned where he was at mentally. I never questioned his ability as a physical specimen.

I feel like our whole line has been great in the absence of Von Miller. Even Milano has shown great ability as a pass rusher it seems.

I actually think Allen is leaning more towards Favre territory. Lots of TDs and lots of TOs. I’m good either way. If Josh ends up a hall of famer and makes it to two super bowls, winning one, like Favre did, that’s a pretty damn good career.
Favre was my favorite QB when I was a young lad growing up. I will tell you this, Allen is by far a better QB than Favre ever was. It’s not even close.
-
Josh is an incredible talent. He’s entering into that Manning/Brady territory. We’re essentially watching a young HOFer at QB.

The question is, what is that?
Probably between $6M-$7M/yr I would guess. (3yr $18M)
I think between Singletary and Cook we have a very nice RBBC and I think Hines is more than capable to fill in occasionally as RB3 while also doubling as our STs guy.
I think RBBC is absolutely the way to go in todays NFL. You want a more consistent running attack? Build a behemoth of an OL.
RD1 has to be either WR or OL imo.

Bad…gabe Davis.
I think WR is a sneaky need for Buffalo. And this is coming from a guy who thinks that Gabe Davis is a pretty good NFL WR, but what would happen if we found Diggs alter ego?

Isn't Devin a FA after this season? I've always sensed he's a favorite of McD
Bills are better off just paying the man for what he’s worth.
