im saying that he is replacement level
so of course they went and paid him like a top kicker
Because he was performing like a top kicker until last year.

One more minute and it will be a full game.

I think they could see how he is doing in camp. It is pretty easy to bring in another kicker. Kickers do the exact same thing everywhere. They don't need to learn a system. They only need to get on the same page with the holder, which they can do quickly with reps. So, if Bass is struggling, they can bring someone new in at any time.

They sure know how to pick em over in KC...

This is a brutal schedule
People say this every year. The Bills get a first place schedule. It is tough every year and will continue to be.

Anyone notice how Bill Belichick rushed over to shake Peyton Manning's hand? Brady saw and put his head down and turned away.
It's so hilarious how much bad blood there is between Brady, Belichick, and Kraft. Belichick wanted nothing to do with getting up there with Kraft, but he had to.

I’m going to watch this eventually. And I already know I’m going to hate seeing Edelman’s smug face. Christ, I hate that mother *****.
Agreed. He's so fake, too. Just says whatever he can to try to get people to like him.

Sorry, I wasn't aware that you're forced to answer both questions. Figured the last option covered it. But I added that option to the top.
Surely, we'd all take a Higgins or an Aiyuk. But like I said, I don't believe it's an option and do tend to take him at his word when he says "it's not happening".
So "none of the above" is essentially acquiring no one else in this exercise. It's more of a pick one from the FA pool or stand pat kind of poll - as I find that to be the most realistic scenario. Though, again, I'd love to be wrong about that.
Yeah, I just didn't want to have to vote for one of those receivers because I'd rather not have any of them.

I can't vote because there isn't a "None of the above" option.

It's a good idea. Some days I open up TBD, scan all the topics and see none are new (besides some dumb ones) and leave.

Let's see if Bass has it fixed. If not, they can bring in kickers to compete.

where he sits on the depth charts sure... but you don't know that... the dude could come out and just ball, amaze and shock everyone. Do i think he will? No.. but I will still but a 10-20% chance on it that he could.
Ok. Well, I don't expect him to supplant Cook, so that's why he was lower on my list. But we're all just guessing anyway.

Ingram was pretty good in preseason. But they also might add someone between now and the start of the season.

Nope. And I am not really into getting anyone's autograph. They are just people.

With 4/5 of your first five probable soon-to-be starters. Just leaving one off as it almost never works out that well.
But I will add Davis, and put him near the top of the list. We saw how smart Brady was last year, to start running the ball like they meant it, and what that dynamic did for this team. Davis will take the running game to the next level and catch a bunch of passes too.
Yeah, I just had him lower because he is the backup to Cook and I am not sure if he will ever supplant him while Cook is here. But I think he'll still have an impact.

I respect how good he is. But man, what a crybaby....
Yeah, that's the only thing that really annoys me. He does whine and complain when things aren't going his way. But plenty of QB's are like that. Our own Josh Allen complains to the refs plenty enough.
I dislike that we can't beat the Chiefs in the playoffs. That sucks. But I don't hold anything against Mahomes. Good for him that he is so talented.
Tom Brady was different. He was a d-bag. Always whining and complaining, always screaming on the sidelines. Not giving handshakes when he loses. He was a pompous, smug QB who I couldn't stand. BUT I still respect his accomplishments and since he left New England, I don't hate him so much. And now he is friends with Josh...

I mean yeah I hate him as much and I hated Tom Brady, but once the games/career is over I tip my hat.
As much as Brady? That's crazy talk.

Real talk, Miami should be really good this year.
I'm more concerned about the Jets because I have no idea how Rodgers and their offense will be, plus their defense always gives the Bills some problems.
Same Dolphins, different year. They are the same team.

When i watched him in college, the first thing that came to mind was "generational" and i so wanted the Bills to draft him, however, he couldn't carry it over to the NFL..........that's a shame cause the guy is good, but i just don't know what the hell happened to him.
Everyone is bigger, faster, stronger, and smarter at the NFL level. It is hard to know who is truly a difference maker when they are going up against lesser opponents in college. That's why there is a 50% miss rate in the 1st round, and much worse in later rounds. It is literally a flip of the coin. Even "can't miss" prospects are misses all the time.
It is pretty incredible when rookies come in and perform at a high level like CJ Stroud last year, or Puka Nacua. But often it is because coaches put them in positions to succeed and they have proper support around them. So much depends on where you land.

There are still a number of positions that could be fortified with some Post June 1st free agent signings.
I think Quinton Morris, KJ Hamler, Toohill, and Ingram are just placeholders for now.
Quinton Morris is a pretty excellent 3rd TE, in my opinion.

Except:
KC is trying and investing in the WR room. Both in terms of drafts - 1st this year and 2nd in that past two drafts, as well as free agent $.
BAL has Bateman and Flowers who are recent 1st round picks. They paid $ for OBJ. They have decent WR room and again have invested in it.
DET has St. Brown and Williams (recent 1st round pick) and some decent role guys. Again not a weak room and have invested heavily.
BUF in comparison has shelled out middling free agent $ and until a 2nd rounder this year, low level draft picks.
Buffalo had a superstar receiver in Diggs and a guy they really liked in Gabe Davis. They believed Davis would develop, but he never really did. Still, he left and signed a pretty big contract in free agency. And Diggs fell off a cliff in the middle of last year.
The Bills signed Curtis Samuel and drafted a receiver with their first pick this year. That is good investment this year. And previous years it was not as much of a need because of what they had in Diggs and Davis. Plus they had Shakir and drafted Kincaid in the first round last year to be a weapon for the passing game.
For KC and Baltimore it has been a huge, glaring need for them. That is why they invested so much recently. The Bills weren't in that position.
-
Samuel is the speed guy. No need to even talk much about the depth receivers who will rarely, if ever, be on the field.
