LOL! your source must watch and read the same media people everyone else does. You reported nothing it was available
two days before your "reporting". quit trolling.
The only thing that was out there was that he was a candidate. However per my source the parameters for a deal were done long before it became official which is what I reported on to my fellow forum members.

Mahomes is a great prospect, but not sure Brees is a valid comparison.
If anything a lot of experts (including myself) compare NP to Brees in terms of skill set. Also like NP, Brees major knock coming out of college was arm strength and think that turned out just fine.
-
Can't really argue, although it's debatable this team will be back in the playoff mix next year given the impending roster overhaul.
But with a good offseason, looking forward to NP taking a major step forward and being the franchise QB that takes this team deep in the playoffs, whether it's next year or 2019 and beyond.

Yes and I reported this via my source deep in TX days ago:
https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/topic/200466-texans-interview-bills-vp-of-player-personnel/
QuoteA source of mine deep in TX says this is a done deal unfortunately.
Can't blame Gaine for jumping ship this quickly though but at least he was part of ending a league worst 17 year playoff drought.

This is a somewhat baffling decision by the Rams if true.
I guess they feel they have to justify wasting a 2nd round pick for a #3 WR.
-
Not sure what McCoy is angry about if he don't blame himself and his boy TT for scoring 3 lousy points.
Regardless he must have got over it pretty quickly because both he and TT were spotted together at a Raptors game a few days later.

where have we heard this before?
Not going to lie Teef, I had this team pegged for 3 or 4 wins this year as I'm sure did most realistic fans, experts, etc.
Way too early to make official predictions though but on paper things aren't looking promising again.

the moves were about making the team better in the long term. i think most of us realized that from the get go. they made moves that will help in the long term, and still made the playoffs.
What's done is done Teef.
I just hope MD don't tear it up with St. Doug and the Jags, but ook for him to have a huge game this week against the Steelers. I remember a preseason game a few years ago when Dareus destroyed David DeCastro (now one of the best guards in the NFL) and broke his leg.
If Dareus gets back to that type of dominant form obviously this discussion doesn't go away.

No question about his effectiveness this year. But he still looked fast off the ball and has the bend. another i still miss Jim S and Mike P. The whole line was kicking assets
I wonder his stats are against the run this year ?Go Lorenzo ! Hope it is all true getting you back
PFF actually had JH graded out well for pass rush efficiency, but sacks and turnovers created from them matter and JH pretty much had the worst season of his career in terms of finishing.

What has he done well? Specifically, what encourages you about him?
He has all the prototypical QB traits with the only major knock being arm strength which is fixable obviously. But still think his arm has looked just fine for the most part.
I get that the Chargers game was a disaster but you have to look at context as well (i.e. Benjamin getting hurt right away, the snowball effect after the first deflected INT and the Chargers simply being a good team went on a run after destroying us).
But I think NP showed a lot in the Blizzard game sans the stupid play that got him hurt. And what more can people ask for given the circumstances he entered the playoff game in down 7 with less than 2 minutes to play against a very good Jags team? Yet he still converted a 4th and 3 and was screwed over with a very questionable grounding call and non INT that should been overturned.
Bottom line, there is a lot of upside given the fact he was a 5th round rookie QB that probably shouldn't have played this year even though I still believe he was the better option than TT.

Accepted a renegotiated contract i might guess ?
Rotational DE and situational pass rusher. I like it.
be interesting to lose Hughes. Defenses seriously account for him regardless of stats
ps
I am Fan of 55 . no question.
I've never been a big fan of Hughes mostly because of the stupid penalties. But he did not have a great year for this team when it was expected he would return to form like he did under St. Doug/Pettine/Schartz's 4-3 schemes.
Not all his fault obviously but will be interesting to see what this team does given he's another high salary player from the previous regime.

You say this after it's been completely and properly disputed. You're too much. Happy Trolling!
The advanced metrics don't lie, this defense was hideous and worse than Rex Ryan's most of the year. Which should be a major concern to all Bills fans since McD is supposed to be another self proclaimed defensive genius, he's not.
-
Just an absolutely brutal schedule for a team that's still going to be in transition/rebuilding next season.
Sure some games might not be as difficult as they look now on paper but does anybody really see more than 6 wins against this schedule, especially given the road slate?
Even most of the non division home games look to be guaranteed losses especially against St Doug and the Jags, Chargers and Titans.

They love his leadership and his ST play, that goes a long way with this staff. He’ll prolly take a pay cut
Works for me and he certainly could extend his career playing more of a situational pass rusher/backup role for this team.
Just not sure he should be starting again for this team even at a reduced salary. But he's a pro's pro and will go a long way helping Matt STUD-Lano develop.

In the end, no matter how you feel about Dareus there is no disputing that McD/Beane made the wrong short term move.
And all the metrics validate that this defense fell off a cliff after we traded Dareus, both in terms of QB pressure and especially rushing defense.
I wish Dareus well with St. Doug but the pressure is on this regime to replace Dareus and fix the entire front seven (among all the other offensive issues) and not sure one offseason will get that done.

He’s obviously talked to the team about it
I get that but how can McD/Beane make any guarantees without FA and the draft.
Again I have no issues with the Lorax but it's not like he's a spring chicken and he certainly didn't have the year he did last season although played the best game of his career in the playoffs against the jags.

Ha ha, there is no chance that the Bills are handing the keys to Peterman. In his 4 snaps Sunday he bobbled a snap, fumbled, took an intentional grounding penalty and got picked. There is a decent chance that he isn’t on the roster next year. If they draft a QB eary and sign a vet where does that leave Peterman?
Be serious, he came in out a 4th and 3 and kept the drive alive, also made a very nice play after.
The intentional grounding was a garbage call and very subjective. And we all know the INT wasn't legit either and even if was it was another deflection.
I think folks are really underestimating just how good NP is given what he's shown this year under very extreme circumstances. I have no doubt he's going to have a great offseason and certainly bulk up a bit to work on the perceived weak arm strength issue.
-
How does he even know he's going to be on the team?
I like Zo and he's a great story, but given his age and contract not sure he fits into this team going forward especially as a starter.

The way you wrote it seemed to me like you were summarizing the articles.
So I can believe you that the staff made no effort to help a premiere talent to achieve his potential, which would be totally against their own self interest, or I can dismiss it because you offer no evidence and also seem to be trolling.
I will leave it to you to guess which way I think of it.
If the massive contract was the primary issue, why would they make any effort to keep the guy or work with him? Especially after the preseason game when he was late, their minds were made up period.
And if you also believe the multiple reports we tried trading Glenn this also validates this theory that money/contract matters especially since we no Glenn was a model player in terms of no documented lockeroom and off the field antics.

If Cordy can come back healthy and have a good pre season I really dont want the Bills to trade him.
Pretty sure the ship has sailed, while CG is not necessarily ancient for olinemen he is approaching 30 and has had serious injury issues the last few years.
And even if healthy in the offseason there's no way Beane is rolling the dice and keeping him around with the current contract. if he's willing to restructure for half the money he's getting now than obviously he might be back but still think he will be traded or released outright.
-
QB is easy since all signs point to NP.
OC is the wildcard but still wondering if Dennison survives given what he had to work with in a very limited back up type of QB like TT.

Happy for Dareus, but the fact that Beane got a 5th rounder for a guy with his troubled past on that contract was robbery.
Unless the 5th rounder turns into another steal like Peterman than it's not robbery. In fact even if we land a good player with the 5th rounder you can argue it's still lopsided considering Dareus is a former 3rd overall pick still in his prime years.
I just have a sick feeling that MD is going to go on to have a great career in Jax and win multiple championships with St. Doug and Coughlin while the Bills might potentially flounder again.
-
Yes but I really have no vested interest in any of the teams left.
I think the Pats win it all again much easier this time but if they have to face St Doug and the Jags in the AFC Championship it will be a big challenge since Marrone is very familiar with the Pats and led the Bills to a win there when Brady started a game (even though he didn't play the whole game).
Regardless there is no team in the NFC that has much of a chance to beat the Pats.

I read both articles and neither one mentioned anything like this.
Can you support the statement you just made? Where does it say that? Or is this just a troll post?
This was my statement based on the facts (i.e. this regime dumping all the Whaley picks/contracts).
Also a source of my close to situation confirmed they wanted Dareus and Glenn specifically gone from day one because of their contracts, although Glenn became a secondary issue because he didn't have the 'baggage' Dareus did.
Are you going to watch the rest of the playoffs?

Likely very easily too sadly.
All this fake news regarding Kraft/Hoodie/Jimmy G etc is going to piss them off and motivate them even more now.
