  1. I'd do it. Who cares, Pegs is filthy rich and this doesn't count against the cap.

For how vital a head coach is I'm surprised they don't already make this.  If Kyle Shanahan said give me 40 million a year on my next extension or I'll quit would the 49ers move on?

Right, he should be asking for the moon. I would easily pay him 3-4 times what McD makes to have him instead. Can you imagine him with Josh?

  2. I don't know if they've found a different alternative to Lincoln Station outside of Delilah's. Chicago really needed both because they both would get really packed. They're both fun with different vibes but I don't know what the status is on Lincoln Station. Sad because it was also a really fun place.

A few Thanksgivings ago when the Bills played the Cowboys they were going to be closed but they opened for just the Bills game. The kitchen wasn't open so they actually just brought a bunch of food in and let people eat for free. We had already eaten an early Thanksgiving dinner so we just nibbled on a couple things but I thought it was really nice of them to do that.

  3. This is part of the reason the Dorsey disaster happened, because McD was never really open to anyone else.

Interviewing a range of candidates to me is never a bad thing. Yes it does suck that many times it's not done with an open mind, but conceptually speaking it should happen.

It's entirely possible that Joe Brady could be a good, but not the best coach for the job. We should always be looking for the very best.

The other problem we're going to have with McD here though is if Brady finishes strong this year he might even get poached off that or after next season. And then what? We're in the same boat of our offensive fate hanging in the balance of who he hires because he's so clueless on that side of the ball?

It's just a bad idea all around to move forward with McD.

Could always head to BWW. Get there early and park yourself in front of a big screen. Ask the bartender/server/manager if they would put that screen on the Bills game for you. When I was a manager for the store on Eastern I would do it for people all the time. Of course I’m gone now and I have no idea if they have certain rules they follow now.

Takes some guts to suggest BDubs to someone on a Bills board

Out of curiosity, did you hear any of what KC fans were saying after the game about their failed "Music City Miracle" play?

I was there and the ones I was around and even in the parking lot after were really pissed and kept talking about how they were robbed and we were gifted the W and this destroys the narrative that the refs ever help them out.

    It was pretty hilarious stuff.

You want a new head coach, Brady is  gone....

I would easily take that tradeoff.

If we lose out McD is still our HC. Bills aren't throwing a parade for him postgame unless they already know. You know McD likes things a certain way.  It's very unlikely to me that we would consider an outsider at OC at this point unless Brady just implodes.

I don't know if you're wrong or right...but that would be insanity to bring him back, especially if we lose out. But I think it's nuts regardless. The guy just has no composure whatsoever in crunchtime.

  7. No. He's an upgrade over Dorsey but Josh had to do things and make plays that most or no other QB in the league could do to win that game. It was easily his worst game out of the 3 and that was with 2 weeks preparation. He also didn't adjust well once KC adjusted to us.

We should be shooting for the moon with #17 here. We can see where the next 4 games go, but the move should be to fire McD and bring in an offensive Head Coach who will either call plays or has his own guy.

I think the drop by Diggs on the screen pass blew up the entire sequence. I think he was calling plays based on the expectation KC would defend the run. So he calls a screen and tries to get it outside for 4-5 yards and take it down to the two minute warning. Diggs drops it. Now it's 2nd down and again, you have to think they're playing run at least enough to think crap, if they shut us down on a run it's 3rd and long. We tried to outsmart KC on 1st down, doubled down on 2nd down, and had no choice on 3rd down. I don't like that it happened or how it happened, but it makes sense (what I think he was trying to do).

I was at the game and I could be wrong about this, I haven't seen the play again, but wasn't he covered really well on that play anyway? It looked like it would've only been a 1-2 yard gain even if he had caught it. That happened a number of times on those swing passes. It's just not set up well, just like a lot of our screen play designs.

  8. Josh is so good at saying the right thing. Even after 13 seconds when people were complaining about the OT rule he took the high road and said they'd be celebrating just as much if they got the ball first and won.

There's guys that get a ton of media training that aren't this good at it.

I don't like McD at all, but Josh isn't going to throw him or anyone on the team under the bus publicly. And there is something respectable about that.
