  1. Fun story,

When I played College football in Las Vegas, the team had a 6 bedroom house in a nice part of town that we used for parties. But we were nice enough to go around to all of our neighbors a couple days in advance and notify them of our party plans. Well, our neighbor right across the street happened to be Pat Morita... that’s right, Mr. Efin Miyagi! He said he would call the cops on us unless he could come to the parties. Needless to say, for 4 years, we partied on a weekly basis with the Master of the Karate Kid! Not only could he drink like a machine, but he was a funny dude! Rest In Peace Pat! We love you!

Moral of of the story, invite the experienced lifers to your parties, they are fun as hell!!!

  2. I’m hoping my knights go after Eric Karlsson, and John Carlson, to along with William Karlsson! Even though they are Swedes and not Norwegians, this would be a fun thing. Fantasy hockey would be fun if you draft 3 Karlssons from 1 team.

Made me me think of my fantasy football team a few years ago when i drafted Desean Jackson, Vincent Jackson, Fred Jackson, and Steven Jackson... the Jackson 4 was my team name. I finished 2nd to last. Didn’t do it again.

Why are they called Vegas and not Las Vegas?  The city is named Las Vegas or "The Meadows."

And funny... They go up against Tampa Bay... Is the water bay, the city is Tampa, Florida.

I’ve wondered that also. Why are we the Buffalo Bills? What’s a Bill? Some guy who played cards? So why a Bison logo? Are we the only team that has a logo to match the city and not our team name?

    Yep.  And FBI spying too.

I am just butt hurt that these damn immigrant teams are entering the League working their azzes off doing jobs the other teams are too lazy to do.  Stealing all the glory too by working hard.

NHL build that wall!  Us hardworking fans deserve better.  We have been working @ it for 48 years and Anchor Babies get all the the glory!

Nah, you just hate black Americans. They are the ones most effected by illegal alien workers. You love seeing them down and unemployed.

But lets bring this back to the NHL Playoffs... at least for the East. We can talk about the Stanley Cup Championship for the VGKs!

    Go Knights Go!

I say lucked because they had two top-tier goalies on the roster and that isn't often the case. And Fleury has had his ups and downs over the years but he has been on another level this year. I would feel lucky as a Knights staffer or fan.

We are so surprised and feel CRAZY lucky! I was happy to just make the Playoffs... seems surreal. We were 500/1 to win it all at the beginning of the season, now we are on the doorstep. (this is for Exiled- Kinda like how trump had a 1% chance to win the election... makes the victories that much sweeter) The Golden Misfits are making history.

Seeing all this... I am almost wondering if they cooked lottery in Sabres favor.  Yep, you heard me right.  Keep the dedicated fans from pulling a Trump Deplorable and jumping ship.

Sabres, TO-BFLo is League firewall.  Keep the ones behind firewall happy, don't look behind curtain. Scores high in TV ratings, especially @ Cup time.  We can watch and still be happy that we were thrown a bone (lottery).

    Lottery worked out well.

When you finish at the bottom EVERY year, you're bound to win the lottery at some point.

Between the Knights and Lightening, it seems like an easy choice to make. That said, MakeBuffaloGreatAgain gloating has made me at least consider cheering for TB, hahaha (I wont).

I'm starting to know what it's like to be a Patriots fan... Except our deflated balls, Tuck rule, and Spy gate, are 30 gifted players from other teams. Unfortunately, our 2 goals were from Tuck(who didn't play in the NHL last year) and Reeves who we acquired Via trade. Kinda wish our welfare players would've contributed more... lol. At least Fluery is proving that a 33 year old goalie can still be useful.

Haha, I do think it is better for the league. For the NHL to have a base in one of the biggest gambling cities on the planet is good for fans of hockey, IMO. It will expose more people from around the world to the sport who really never had an interest before. It will be interesting to see what the Raiders moving there will be like. I have one friend who is investing in Raiders season tickets, already.

I am... made quadruple my investment on the VGKs already with season tickets. Add on the random sports bets made on my knights this year, and I might be able to retire 15 years early.

And it took them 5 years.  Kids today get instant success given to them witg sweetheart expansion.

MakeBuffaloGreatAgain sounds like a wonderful leftist.

Love it ?! I think we know why Buffalo kicked you out and exiled you to Ozero’s state. Fit right in.

Tavares is coming to San Jose. Sorry :)

Nah, your taxes and cost of living, and feces/needles in the streets will make him realize that he can make more and win more in Vegas, and avoid the sewage smell.

Just kidding. I doubt we try for him... to big of a name. But I do think we are the most appealing franchise to free agents. The city, no state tax, fan base, suburban family areas right near the practice rink, soon to be the sports capital of the world, Etc... and cap space, with a winning team.

Yeah... I am jealous... Because the fans working at it for 48 years never got welfare sweetheart deals and on top were forced to give players away, and not just crappy ones.

I can tell, you must be a Democrat, voted for Hillary... "Takes a village kinda guy."

Lots of sour grapes when others foot the bill for the newcomers and they reap the rewards

Las Vegas did a great job with what was handed to them via force.  Enjoy spending other people's money.

Sounds like I am a Trump supporter.

I love it! Keep it coming baby! At least the Sabres have a model of how to build a team. Instead of lazy Russians, maybe go after hard workers.

We didn’t even use Carrier to close out the Jets, so you can’t be that upset for us depleting your roster.

Still, having a team of all ABOVE AVERAGE players is appearing better than entertaining crowds with a team of middling and below-average guys, playing along along side 2-5 really above average guys. Next expansion draft will see the rule pendulum swing back against the drafting team.

I bet they keep it the same. It took a bunch of great selections that had to fit together perfectly to work this well, and the right coach to put it all together. I doubt any expansion team could have this kind of success given the same rules.

Now I am just hoping we can land Tavares and Carlson in free agency.

    Look^^^^

The NHL has a fan for life now.

    ?

Yup. Still a little jealous I see. I’m sorry you’re such a snowflake. Get over it and change your twisted panties to boxer briefs. You won’t be so irritable then.

I tried to to become a Sabres fan a couple years ago, but they are never on TV and play lazy. It wasn’t worth the investment. But now I have a hometown team that’s on TV every time they play... and they play tough and fast.

So yeah, I guess you can say the NHL has a fan for life now. ? That’s my face thinking of all the butt-hurt haters who picked us last preseason, and then to get swept in the playoffs.

As much as I hate Taylor Swift’s music, all I can think about when you post is...

All the haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate... your sour grapes and tears are so delicious. Thank you ?

  11. HECK YEAH!!! GO KNIGHTS GO! We are a tough team to play in a 7 game series... non-stop pressure and attacking in a 200ft game night after night really wears down a team. Jets looked GASSED that last period. If we didn't win this game, we definitely would have taken the next.

Yes, it's the tick bite that causes the allergy.

Due to booming populations of deer and expanding suburbs, ticks aren't just for hikers anymore; I've seen deer strolling down front lawns of a large suburb at noon, chowing on front yard plantings.  Ticks fall off the deer into your forsythia, make thousands of tick babies which survive due to warmer winters, you stroll up to prune your forsythia and CHOWTIME (for the tick)

I hear Asian carp are delicious.

    You're welcome

You sure about the warmer winters?

Oh, I don't know. School counselors DOING THEIR JOB and reporting kids at high risk for this kind of thing to the authorities who would then, if their families have legal weapons, be able to report that kind of information back to the school.

    That'd be a step.

I'm sure the teachers unions won't support that, though. Too much like work.

And it would be deemed racist, bacause a disproportionate amount of young black students are involved in violent behavior in school...

"The exact number of DGUs is not precisely known. There are reasons to think the actual number may be higher or lower than the figures cited. For example, some respondents to surveys may consciously or unconsciously exaggerate the degree of peril they were in, which could lead to an overestimate of DGUs."
