He looked like Aaron Rodgers at his peak.   He has a few times this year.   I agree it feels unreal, and as a long suffering Bills fan you feel like its going to come back to Earth.  Best thing you can do is enjoy it and hope it doesnt.

Aaron Rodgers honestly still looks pretty close to his peak this year.  I don't think Josh is on that level yet but he's looked so freaking good.

Freaking sucks that the Ralph won’t be full Sunday night.

I'm sure that every NFL city is incredibly eager to get back to normal and pack their respective stadiums, but I don't think any NFL city/region is as eager as western NY is.  May god have mercy on the ears of the first visiting team to play at full capacity.

McKenzie and Beasley will have a big day tomorrow, I predict.

I'm surprised no one else had mentioned McKenzie more that our future HOFer Kumerow.  The little guy seems to have a knack for making some nice plays and I'm surprised we haven't tried to use him more this year.

He was a first round pick who only played his rookie season last year.

Thank god you guys aren't GM.

He was ranked 115th out of 116 eligible CBs by PFF.  Just because a guy was drafted in the 1st round doesn't mean he isn't immune to being terrible.

I’m not always the most optimistic fan, but to me that loss was due to a great play by a great WR.  I don’t think you could ask for better coverage by the defense.  Murray’s scrambling to allow that final throw was pretty impressive as well.  Bills played well enough to win and got beat by a stellar play.  I can accept that kind of loss.

I totally agree.  The whole "why didn't they knock it down?" seems a little crazy to me because all three defenders played it awfully well and the best receiver in the game just made a great play.  There is plenty to be extremely ticked off about in the game but that play shouldn't be #1.

The blocked FG by Nate Odomes and return for a TD by Bennett against the Broncos in 1990. The Bills were dead in the water if that chip shot was made and would drop to 2-2.

That play launched the Super Bowl Bills, IMO.

That play and that game really makes me even more bummed out that there are no fans in the stands at the moment.  I will confess that I didn't actually see that game live but have since watched it online since I heard about some of the plays.  The Chiefs and the Seahawks can claim to have the loudest fans but Bills fans might have something to say about that.

Got one... Sam Adams picking off Brady week 1 2003.

Rumbles to endzone and Brady got flattened along the way also.

Don't forget his Deion Sanders high step on his way into the end zone 😆

  6. Can I give a game ball to a specific play?  If I can (yes, I can & will) I'm going to give it to Hughes forced fumble on Seattle's 1st possession of the second half.

Obviously you don't know if Seattle marches down the field and scores if that doesn't happen but they certainly have the firepower to do so.  If they cut the deficit to one score that is a whole different ballgame.  Obviously it's a game that had a ton of big & important plays but that one stands out as being sneaky important to me.

I might be a bit biased because I'm a Jerry fan & think he tends to get a bit more criticism than he deserves.  He's been playing extremely well the past few games & I'm glad to see it.  Also, that roughing the passer call on him was utter BS.

5 - Pats Defense - First off, can we talk about the Hoodie' son's mullet?  Is he trying to one-up his day for style points?  Moving on.  The pass rush of the Pats today was solid and didn't make Dawkins or Williams look great at times.  They were edge rushing wide on most past plays and sped up Allen's clock.  They may not have brought Allen down much, but he took some shots today and made things uncomfortable at times.  The Hoodie was also up to his old tricks of standing all 11 guys pre-snap and showed 8 in the box.  I'm curious to see what the All-22 shows and hear more about the wind, because I'm curious how the coverage was downfield.

Great as usual but an extra thanks for pointing out Hoodie Jr.  The mullet is just one of the many, many truly awful haircuts in his arsenal.

That was reminiscent of Ben Watson and Champ Bailey.  Metcalf will be a locker room hero for that especially if they hold them to 3 here.

That was one of the most impressive hustle plays of all time.  The one that really stands out to me because of the insane athleticism is Larry Allen running down a guy to save a TD.

  9. I think that Louis Riddick and Brian Griese have been pretty good so far on MNF and overall that crew has been a really good change.

For play by play I really like Kevin Harlan.  He's an all-time great as a basketball guy as well.  Jim Nantz generally annoys me but he's pretty good at football...I want to stab my ears out when he does golf though.

A guy that I really miss as a football play by play is Dick Enberg.  He was absolutely fantastic.

  10. The guy made a few nice plays but I cannot disagree more because on other plays he looked like he was on roller skates.  McD tried to send a message to Murphy and Harrison and it seems to have backfired badly.

Oliver hasn't been great but it's a bit tough when they play him so badly out of position at the one technique.  I really would like to see them move him around the line a bit more, similar to how Seattle used Jefferson...oh and maybe do that with Jefferson a bit more.

What has been very frustrating - and I believe someone else alluded to this - is that very rarely do multiple players win their matchups on the same play.  There have been a TON of plays where someone, be it Hughes (yes he beats his man quite a bit), Oliver, Addison or someone else makes a great play but the rest of the line seems to get manhandled so all it takes is a little pocket awareness by the QB to avoid pressure.

One other thing.  I really like Shaq and Jordan but the nostalgia for both of them here is astonishing.  They were good players and I loved their attitudes but they absolutely were not the all pros that so many here make them out to be.

By way of FYI, other "slow" 4.6/ 40 yd current starting NFL RBs:

    David Montgomery

    Josh Jacobs

    James Robinson

Which argues that a reasonable part of an RBs production can't be parsed as 40 yd time alone. O' Line, O' Scheme, playcalling etc must play a significant part.

Montgomery and Jacobs have about the same YPC as Motor this year (I have both on my fantasy team so I know lol) but I really think the majority of it is line talent and scheme/play calling.  You obviously need a talented back but I think a good playbook makes players seem a lot more talented that they are, and DEFINITELY vice versa.

I look at the Packers and the 49ers as great examples of great schemes and play calling.  They make it very difficult to prepare for them because they've set up their runs and passes to look nearly identical pre-snap whether its personnel, formations or motion (or all three).  Neither team has overwhelmingly great O-lines but make up for that with creative play calling.

  12. I get the frustration but I really don't think it's because of our backs, although like others here I really would like to see Yeldon active more often and I do not understand why he isn't.  To me it's blocking and maybe more than anything else it is play calling.

He runs an outdated scheme in the 3-4. McD runs a 4-3. Plus Wade is practically semi retired at this point and got fired from the Rams last year because his defense sucked last year

I definitely agree that bringing in Wade would be a bad idea considering the the scheme change but I wouldn't call what he does outdated.  Wade consistently runs a very good defense.

That was infuriating. Taiwan Jones was the gunner, it was in space, and the Titan damn near tore his jersey off after holding for 3-4 seconds. You can hardly be more obvious than that. If you're not seeing it as a ref it's because you don't want to see it.

What really kills me is that is called pretty much every time!  There probably is holding on every offensive play but that's tougher to call.  Special teams holds/blocks in the back are always out in the open...just like this was...and pretty much always called.

Huge, huge play in that game in my opinion because it already puts the defense on its heels.
