  1. Not much of a fantasy football player but I would be all over Keon Coleman, especially at $1.    I dont know what 0 or 1.0 PPR means Colean is a potential TD machine, big bodied, contested catch winner, tall, basketball experience catchings, he could easily develop into a to go to players deop in the redzone.    Imagine short safteies of CBs trying to defend him.

Even the English guy that’s never played football? Come on Shaw. Not trying to be snarky here but do teams often draft players that can’t play? Answer….no they don’t. But the difference is that right now the Bills need these players to be able to play NOW. As I said, we’re all going to find out together if these young guys can actually play at this level. We all hope they can.

Right about one thing, it was a snarky post but the rest of it is  ridiculous.  You appear to have this agenda that the Bills have lost so many players they have little left.

No the "English guy" was not drafted because they need players  to "play NOW".

If we drafted him to "play NOW" we would not have drafted a guy that has never played football.  He doesn't count against the 53 man roster and we can carry him "risk free" for a while as he learns the game/

I thought it was an excellent risk adjusted gamble with very little downside but he is huge, fast and seems excited to play football.

I was told a few days ago by my friend who works in the league that their is a team that wanted  Ray Davis and were going to make him their starting back but did not want to pick him until the 5th or late 4th and  then Buffalo took him.

Then they were questioning if they should have just taken him in the third.  Apparently the people pulling for him in the room lost out to the other voices based on the position they ended up taking.  They didn't think RB should be taken as high as the third in this draft.

Seems like they are regretting it is  what I was told.

Well the unnamed team is a very short list if they wanted him in the later 4th of early 5th and Buffalo grabbed ahead of them..under those guidelines then it would be the Lions, Chiefs, 49ers or Ravens.

Personally I think he opens week 1 as the starting Center.  I loved this pick, in fact, I think Beane really nailed his first 5 picks and believe this draft class has a legit shot to go down as Beane's best overall.

Agreed but I have to temper my enthusiasm, it is about this time every year I read all the hype and think we had a killer draft until reality sets in.

For example Dorian Williams and Nick Broeker along with free agent Richard Gouraige I thought were real steals in the 2023  draft and none of them really showed much although we essentially got 2 1st rounds last year so overall very good draft.  And the year before of course was Kaiir Elam who has shown flashes but not enough.

And I was really upset to see yet another mid-late rd RB pick but as I read and watch Davis it is hard not to get get excited.  And Dewayne Carter, a three time Captaln, amazing when you think about it and not exactly a football factory at Duke.  Love listening to that guy, he along with Coleman are going to be fan favorites.

    Same.

Refs rule it one way, then some guys in black run on the field and talk to them, then suddenly the call is changed.

    Ridiculous.

Controversal view here but it was the correct decision,  I was in the stands with a bunch of bill fans and no one knew what was going on.  It was the only game on at that time, obviously the call came from the league to declare in a touchback.  Had they not, the game would have effectively been over at that point, it took a series of miracles by Deshaun Watson to come back in that game.

Maybe back the then letter of the rules it would have been a TD but that was no way to clinch a playoff game.

He wouldn't want to show up uninvited.  That would just be rude.

The psychological effects of Jason Kelce attending his brother's football game at the invitation of a loosely affiliated and leaderless fan club cannot possibly be understated.

Kelce got all the attention he was craving, especially thinking his playing career is ending, he only retired twice.  Attention ***** to keep relevant.

it's a simple test. Just get the blood test at your yearly or semi-yearly physical.  My friend had nodymptoms, butte blood test showed a sky-high PSA level.  Turns out hr dad stage 4. He had the robotic surgery at Roswell and is now cancer free for 7 yeas.

Agreed.  Obviously key is to catch it early.

reality is for prostate cancer an incredibly high percent of males will end up with prostate cancer and most will die of something else before the Prostate cancer gets you.  In older men prostate cancer is typically a very very slow or metastasizng cancer.

    You ARE wrong.

He reminds me more of Marcell Dareus.

My God, very happy you are not a scout for the Bills.

I like how you declare the other poster's opinion is "wrong".

I though the McCargo refernce was off, this is even worse.  Marcel the lazy great underachiever.

I hope I'm wrong....but this player reminds me of McCargo.

    Not even close.

McCargo was borderline lazy and a follower, not very bright.   Carter is the polar opposite.  A leader (team captain), articulate, hard working.

Carter is, imo, going to end up being a fan favorit!  Great pick and give credit to Beane for trading back to pick him up.

I met him once at the gate at St. Francis High when his son Kyle (now assistant GM in Atlanta) was playing HS football.  He showed me his AFC Championship ring.

The reason I was at the gate was I used to go to all the Bills home games and my friend whose house I'd stay at was a teacher at St. Francis and enlisted me to work the gate with him at some of the Red Raiders home games.  After AJ left to be GM in San Diego my friend had a minor heart attack and AJ heard about it & sent him a get well card from SD.  Classy guy.

Another St Francis football alum.  He joins the list of Tom Telesco, Brian Dabol, Luke Tasker

    I played at St Francis.

My bank won’t let me leave the bank before the check clears.

Smart bank, I wouldn't trust you either.

Should surprise no-one, he is small even compared to Tua, the guy is gonna have to learn how to fall down, and or get back up after he gets drilled to the ground, non contact injuries don’t bode well for little guys…,

He will be ok, just a ju-jitsu class away from being invincible just like Tua!

I mean did our aging safeties not stand out to anyone in that game? Lol Klein also got absolutely victimized.  this defense doesn’t matter mantra is getting a little tired seeing as the chiefs won with defense all year

I couldn't agree more, it has been a fairly constant take here the last few years, defense doesn't matter, it is an offensive game.....the idiocy of that is amazing.

I wonder how many teams are owned 100% by a single person/family and how many have investors. I think investors are a fairly common thing, and they have nothing but the best legal and financial advisors. This isn’t like us buying a vacation home with my sister-in-law. You can do your billionaire buddy a favor by letting him inside.

Yes I thought it was exactly like buying a vacation home with your sister-in-law.

Amazingly I figured out they would get great legal/financial advice but things change.

Buying a minority interest in a private company is fraught with hidden dangers.

What if the Feds/State want to start a wealth tax on unrealized capital gains, just like they have been angling for years to go after hedge Funds.  The govt agency could claim the "value" went up X million in one year and demand a cash tax payment.   IMO NYS and probably California are the two riskiest states for something like that.   Oversimplifying it but those are just some of the risks with minority positions in a private company.

Offer fractional ownership (complete with profit sharing for stadium revenue) with the PSLs…

Not a bad idea, how many Bill fans would buy stock in the Bills just to say they own some.  That is if the NFL owners would allow it a la Green Bay but I doubt it.

Man.....it's like buying 25% of a money printing press.  Could only dream of an opportunity like this.  Someone is going to get the opportunity of a lifetime here.  Good for them.

Buying a minority position in a private company, yeah good luck with that.  Depending upon how it is structured you are totally at the whim of the Pegulas, they dont want to distribute profits/cash flow, your 25% is worthless until they decide to sell out  or offer you to sell you  an incremental 26% for a controlling interest.
