That’s been my point for years. Who is more deserving of $1M Davis Webb or Nate Pete? Next time someone feels bad for him remember he is getting that check while more deserving players aren’t.

I loss track of the posters as I read the comments, but this one read like one of your posts and sure enough it was.

You sound borderline distraught over Peterman's ability to hang on to a roster spot; I think that bet has really taken its toll on you.

  2. Pretty sure it's our Josh Allen who's made plenty of 13-on-the-Wonderlic decisions in games, including in the playoff game against the Texans...really don't know how folks are trying to play Lamar Jackson.

Since the days of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, the Ravens have always struck me as being a very strong organization with a strong internal bond; I totally get what Jackson's saying.

Also we will get a full assessment of Harrison. With star they would rotate, Harrison might still rotate but not nearly as much now. We will see if he's the guy this year.

Sometimes I felt they had Lotulelei out there so that the signing/large contract would be questioned less. Up to this point Harrison Phillips hasn't struck me as a guy who can take on two blockers by himself, but one-on-one I think he can be pretty effective. It's now or never for Phillips to become an anchor in the interior.

Signing with Miami proves Shaq has poor judgement

If this were the case, how would his poor judgement be relevant in this situation where he tweeted his disapproval of Fromm.

From what I read, he doesn't mention taking any kind of action against Fromm, so where does his "poor judgement" show in this situation?

I believe he's only missed one extra point in his career.

And some of his misses were blocks where his line was atrocious and let people run by them

He was the number one or two kicker on every single pundits board

It's not like he was a reach and was out of nowhere

Cool, cool. I'll end this here by saying, I'll be rooting for Bass all the way.

He made a 60-yard field goal off of one step. And no step 50

Sure it doesn't mean he's going to be a Hall of Fame kicker. But it means he has a good leg

heck UBs been struggling for years to get a kicker to even kick an extra point, let alone a 60 yarder

Did he do this in-game or in the video?

We could have a very good thing in Bass and I hope we do, but you can't ignore his senior season FG%, as though accuracy and power don't go hand in hand in making a great kicker.

I would reckon that almost every D1 quarterback could do what Tanney did

The same is not true for Kickers. Tanney does not have some legendary accuracy

Well, what exactly did Bass do, if you're going to make that comment about Tanney and D1 QB's?

I wasn't suggesting that Tanney has legendary accuracy, if he did he'd probably be a starter in the NFL.

Yeah but you're missing the point. Tanney didn't have NFL talent, he made those trickshot videos to get noticed..

Bass by all accounts was the number one kicker in the draft or two

If Bass' big leg equates to NFL talent in spite of the 71.4% FG percentage he put up during his senior season, then so does Tanney's ball placement accuracy; Tanney is signed with an NFL team, after all.

We have to wait and see if  Bass' kicking talent carries over to live games, better than Tanney's throwing talent did.

The difference is quarterbacks don't practice like Alex Tanney

    Kickers do practice like Bass

They don't always have a live Rush. They kick field goals from different hash marks and lengths and positions

Alex Tanney needed every gimmick to get a chance in the NFL and no quarterbacks ever train like that

Do you really know how Tanney practices?

Tanney's trick shot videos were a display of accurate, ball placement; I'm guessing that came from working on form and what not, the same way that other NFL QB's do.

I think Bass' video is a similar display of precision developed through repetition.

How that translates in a real game, we have to wait and see.

Alex Tanney was a quarterback, throwing footballs through goal posts and buckets

    Not practical

Bass is a kicker who is kicking 50 60 yard field goals with different circumstances.. there is no parallel

Do any of those circumstances include Bass making 50 and 60-yard field goals while under duress from charging, NFL defenders?

If not, I think these videos aren't much different from Tanney's trick shot videos: a demonstration of ability and what could be.
