I don't believe his team threw 3 passes because he was "afraid" of the weather. If they needed to they would have opened things up like the Bills tried to do. They scored 14 because 14 is what it took. As I said earlier, no, I am not saying they could score at will. Just enough to beat the Bills that specific day.
So you think bellicheck was fine with them basically holding on for dear life and bills being in position with a 1st and 10 at the 15 late in the game to most likely win the game if they score?
…. Ya ok

I’m seeing Twitter riddled with actual ravens fans saying Allen got robbed. Lol. Also have seen numerous Pats fans saying it as well.
when fans of the other qb, and then if another rival team, are saying he got jobbed it says something

No Allen is disturbing. He was very high in fan voting, which means he was knocked down by players and coaches.
Jackson over him is just inexplicably disgusting.
Allen has the edge in comp%, qbr, qb rating. He has less int even though he’s played more games. He’s got 35 tds to jackson 18 and averages more total ypg. What a robbery.

Jackson over Allen is criminal. Allen’s numbers in almost every category are better and his raw cumulative yardage and tds is massively better.

Frank Reich told his team before the Patriots game, "We have to win this game." I get the feeling that McDermott doesn't use this approach; it seems like he relies on the players' professionalism. On One Bills Live just now, Chris and Steve were saying players shouldn't need any extra juice. While I agree to an extent, I feel like we've seen players respond well when given that extra juice. I wonder if it's something that's missing with the Bills at times.
After the last game and the subsequent coverage and press questioning, i cant imagine he needs to provide them with anything to get the voltage up. Its a locker room full of competitors and alpha's. While i agree there may have been times this year they didnt have an edge to them....IMO theres absolutely no chance this is a game where they'll need help finding juice.

wrap it up, shoot it up, and rub a bit of dirt on it type of game.... give sanders a slap on the a** and send him out there.

Don’t really expect much from him regardless.
Its less about expecting much from him and more about that fact that he's better option than whats out there now.

How many more wake calls do they need? Seems like we have more than reached the quota for that excuse by now.
Panthers have a decent defense but against a team not starting a washed up QB and without any semblance of a threat at WR/RB/TE etc the Bills lose and likely lose big.
Just seems some fans never learn and are gluttons for punishment especially going up against a superior team and coach that is going to run circles around this team again on Sunday.
you mean like how they lost big the prior 2 weeks? oh wait......
go crawl back under your bridge.

If the discussion is did we invest too much in the DL, I agree. The answer is yes.
if the discussion is “is our pass rush good enough to win a SB, unlike last season” same answer. Yes. Getting sacks or not getting sacks isn’t the difference and not really worth discussing imo.
and i guess we'll just disagree. on the latter. i personally think its always been pretty obvious how important dropping the qb can be. especially during playoff football.
Now as for this week in particular? I think merely pressuring the rookie qb could be extremely valuable. I'm also skeptical we'll be able to do it against their OL.

We have the best pass D in the league. We have the best pass rush pressure rate in the league. We currently have a 7th rd draft pick and an UDFA (whose getting paid 1.75M after hitting FA).
Getting sacks or not getting sacks has NOTHING to do with our 6 losses. 3 long TD runs, poor red zone O, bone headed mistakes, How Beane addressed the OL and the referees are why we are 8-6.
so you are ok with all the resources/picks that have been dumped into the defensive front and the overall lack of production. noted.
And i agree its been a comedy of errors in these close losses. Cant really pin it on one thing.

The Bills didnt need a freaking wakeup call to be focused for a game that decides the division leader, vs a team that already played them and beat them up.
Anybody with a pulse is gonna be WOKE for this game regardless the style of last weeks win.

Teams' spark can come from the strangest places and it's better to pull off a game like this previous one than to lose it. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't something that pulls them together. Perhaps the Bills just have a day on Sunday where everything comes together, or the Patriots are simply not as good as the stretch where they were rolling, and the Bills turn out to be as talented as they looked during their early run.
All that said, why did you feel the need to spit on original poster's cheerios for the crime of having faith in the team you both purport to follow?
have you seen the OP's track record? its full of lamps and ridiculous notions for years now...
The bills were gonna be UP for this game regardless of how they won the last one. Come on man.
-
This is dumb. They've lost 6 games. They've had plenty of wakeup calls. A little struggle vs the panthers is whats gonna do it?.... good lord.
Bills were gonna be up for this game regardless of how they won last sunday.

I said this in the pats/colts thread and i'll say it again. I think Mac Jones resting douche face is way worse than Eli Mannnings ever was. He's tough for me to stomach.

Or maybe sign an actual decent pass rusher who can sack the QB…. Last off-season was a good opportunity to do so, they opted for bringing everyone back and some draft picks. Though the pass rush is improved.
i could go for a 50 page thread about how hughes only has 1.5 sacks but its not important because he's had 3.2 million pressures this year.
1 hour ago, CNYfan said:Hughes has been quiet this year, so far, but was a monster in the playoffs last season.
I am hoping he starts to turn it up a bit as we hit this big, big stretch of games.
i'll give him the playoffs. in 19 he had 3 sacks during the meltdown game that never get talked about because of the outcome

Oh god are we sugar coating the fact we can’t ever take down the qb when we get there again? Pressures right?…. Ya ok.
How about we just find the freaking ability to FINISH once you’ve got hands on the qb. Good lord people. Pressures are a good thing but let’s not use them just to pretend they don’t have an issue with getting qb’s to the ground. There’s plenty of times where the “pressure” wasn’t enough and if whomever got hands on the QB woulda finished, it woulda made a difference.

Not to mention the endless slobbering over the elite Patriots defense, without mentioning whatsoever that the Bills give up only 1.2 points more per game and are ranked second in scoring defense, right behind the Pats.
I'm personally looking forward to the media reminding us all week how soft the bills are because of their suspect run d...... which just so happens to be ranked 8 slots higher than the Pats run d..... a pats run d that has allowed 220+ rush yards in 2 of their last 3.

I get that I may be dramatic there but is anyone else prepping themselves to be super annoyed by all the 4th down conversions the panthers get today when they coulda kicked it?

Against this pass rush though. And the way things are shuffled it’s essentially 4 backups…. Scary

I think that would be a big mistake on his part…. By all means, though. Let it rip, Bill.
