Schopp talks Bills in the same manner that one might discuss, say, constipation. There is no media personality, even on the national level, that goes to the extremes Schopp does in dismissing ANYTHING of a positive nature with the Bills and especially Josh Allen whom he despises. Schopp, that insufferable douch bag, used to have ex-QB now fine analyst Dan Orlovsky on the program regularly when Dan was down on Josh Allen. Now, Orlovsky is praising Allen and the douche bag is dismissing it with the notion that "nothing in preseason means anything" and no assessment is possible.

With deepest apologies to all the haters, Debbie Downers, and the like, it must be said that Allen is meeting the eyeball test this meaningless preseason. It's OK to be optimistic, it really is.

Mike Schopp, please bottle the Bills acid and STFU. And Bulldog, grow a pair and stand up to this idiot once in a while.

agree but please keep in mind douche ends with an e.....psa

TE. Sweeney gets injured and we have nothing there.

Kicking game (starting to get worried). Is trending down. 6 of 11 to finish season and 2 misses this far.

Hate to say this and will likely get flamed but McCoy is Done. IMO keep Gore. Go with the kid and roster Yeldon and Murphy.

i wouldn't feel good about it, but it would be a good business decision. save what?....6+ mil.? also we should be able to get a pick for him and free up a roster spot.

HOWEVER....they may view him in more of a receiver role and ya gotta admit...hitting shady in stride on the outside is another weapon.

I wouldn't call the pass rush a weak link. It's not the best in the league, but it's far from a liability.

3 sacks / 7 qb hits / 8 pass break ups(which i know don't count as pass rush except a couple of tips at the line.) for a vanilla rush 4 only pre season defense, i think they did fine

and are nice and deep. johnson and love will both make the 53.

There is no 'first round' anymore. The roster must be down to 53 after the 4th preseason game. They got rid of the 'cut to 75' or whatever it was a couple years ago. I suspect you'll start to see the roster size begin to slowly dwindle after Friday's game.

    EDIT:

Looks like August 31st at 4:00pm

    https://operations.nfl.com/football-ops/league-governance/2019-20-important-nfl-dates/

it's so hard to see someone to cut..... right now.

Led the team in special teams snaps for two straight years and knows the defense and we are already thin at LB

i think they like stanford better, i could be wrong.

when are the first round of cuts due?...or do they now just have to be at the 53 by a certain date?

I guess that's because you feel Vosean Joseph and Darryl Johnson will make the 53 man active roster?

Eddie Lacey and Eddie Yarborough/Mike Love hope you're correct.  Guess time will tell

between lacy and stanford, i'd give the edge to stanford. so let's see, that would be....lorax / edmunds and milano with..thompson / stanford and vosean.

man i never thought i'd see a roster where i couldn't figure out an idea of just 53. i'm sure i'm gonna be bummed at some cuts.

Ed Oliver - we got a little lucky here draft was but thats ok.....we are due.   Ed Oliver looks special.....285 pounds AND taking ON DOUBLE TEAMS IN THE NFL.....AGAINST STARTERS.....comes in and gives last year's media darling OG for the colts Nelson in his first game and is just....well really really good.   It was great that we didnt have to trade up to get him because it allowed for more good picks.

Cody Ford - he is straight up mauling ppl.....no way he should have fallen out fo the 1st but did....good at RT....very good at RG

Devin Singletary - making plays all camp....made plays in his first PS game.....Beane did his homework and saw a player that was under utilized in the passing game and a rookie that can actually pass protect.  Is in a nice position where he doesn thave to be "the guy" but I have every confidence he could do so if asked.

    Knox - injured....jury is out

Vosean Joseph - I think he is a ST's demon this year and slips into Lorax spot next year....this guy flat knocks the stuffing out of folks man a NICE later round pick.

Jaquan Johnson - I feel like he is kinda getting caught up in numbers where we have a lot of good players.....jury still otu

Darryl Johnson - having a good camp.....made plays in his first PS game.....I dont think you can take the chance of trying to PS stashing this guy because his size, weight, length, speed combo is special AND he is making plays......how did Beane find this guy in the last round of the draft?

    Beane is KILLING IT

sorry i didn't read through these first, but i couldn't agree more! i think d. johnson is gonna be another dwight freeney. ed reed said that j. johnson has the talent to be a perrennial pro-bowler. even sweeney should make the 53. my point being that i don't think there's one pick they can put on the p.s without them getting poached in an hour. i feel sorry for eddy y. , but with love and johnson, idk, i wish they could keep them all. we are gonna probably let shaq walk. murphy may have a comeback, but who knows?

can they kick shaq inside next to oliver on passing downs? can they keep 9 dlinemen? 2x phillipps / star / oliver and shaq? then trent / hughes / love and johnson?

vosean joseph i think is going to be the headhunter we need. i think they killed this draft. sweeney is gonna be great. i can't see one lasting on the p.s.....maybe ufda sills?

I buy into Josh Allen quite a bit.... but if I had a choice between having to buy into a Bills prediction from you or a McBeane personnel move, its a no brainer. McBeane all the way.??

I buy into all of those except number 3.?

well i think the ruskies woulda made a case if it was false.......

John, seriously I would be surprised if they cut him.

Remember the old days when you could develop a linemen.  I think this kid will be ready to fully step in and dominate in 2020, while serving as great relief in 2019.

i;m guessing 4 gds....spain/ feleiciano / long and teller. dawkins / nseke / ford and ? i think ford starts at guard . dawkis, spain, morse, ford , nseke is what i think we;ll start with.

Agreed and Barkley is barely serviceable but he has a little stronger arm.  It’s kinda terrible how many bad qbs there are in the league.  Not many Frank Reichs out there.

i;m glad we have barkley. couldn't find a better no.2.

I hear ya, just not sold on Rudolph. The Steelers have been one of the league’s most consistently successful franchises. Historically they’ve had continued success while transitioning from one era to the next. I’m not convinced that will continue once Big Ben retires. Roethlisberger has carried that team on his back the past few seasons. The legendary Pittsburgh D has always been there throughout the years, but hasn’t been strong in recent memory.tomlim has had the luxury of coaching an elite QB his entire career. There have been plenty of Tomlin doubters, and he’d no longer be with the team if they didn’t value strong continuity. Rudolph wouldn’t be stepping into that great of a situation imo.

i think by the time  mason gets the reigns, the steelers will have a new coach.

A "cease and desist" order is being prepared for you if/when he makes the roster. You will be required to abide by the legal notice once it is in effect. If you don't you will be considered to be a scofflaw. Be careful. Once your reputation is tarnished it will be difficult to rehabilitate. ?

i don't get the john c thing..but when ben hangs up the cleats, i t will be rudolph to juju and washington way better than to a...douchebag brown. the steeleres will be back...and i'm a bills fan

Mason Rudolph becoming the best QB drafted in 2018 seems like a huge stretch for anyone who isn’t an OK State fan.

i was ( not knowing about the research mcbeane put into allen) ...an advocate for staying put an drafting rudolph. i was hoping for vita vea and then rudolph followed with washington at wr and then i forget who at lb. so far with vea, i feel wrong , but when big ben hangs up the cleats, i  can't see the steelers missing a beat. like the pats, they seem to know how to keep on truckin.

Peterman was our best QB last 2 preseasons

for all the crap he gets, i'm willing to bet he ends up having a decent career as at least a backup. he'll get the last laugh....kinda like in a few years mason rudolph turns out to be the best qb drafted in 2018.

  14. 19 hours ago, NewEra said:

I didn’t see much of him

he was behind a couple of guys who got drafted high and the qb wasn't the greatest. plus dabol was his coach there. i can't give names without looking it up, but that's the story.

foster ain't going anywhere. i think they'd be foolish not to have him and brown on the outside together. they can rotate jones and beasley, but it think we'll see a lot of 4 wide sets.

sprinkle in the duke in the redzone. i don't think they will use roberts that much at wr except maybe like an andre holmes type spot duty.
