Hey, the thread title is back to its original form! Yippeeeeee
-
1. Someone crucial to our team will get injured by week 3 (Star, Tre, Shady, Benjamin, etc.)
2. We will have a worse record than last year
3. Our defense will help us win a handful of games we otherwise deserve to lose
*Bonus* Allen won't start at all unless our starter goes down, followed by the 2nd stringer looking awful for a couple games in a row.

Finally, someone the board respects confirms what everyone should already know.
For some reason, there are still people arguing the line is fine and will play at the same level, despite losing 2-3 key players. Look at our 2016 line's production compared to 2017 and how much it regressed. Now imagine this year's production, combined with another year older Shady, 1 good WR, & the least experienced QB group in the league. Growing pains are to be expected. This is not a 10 win team. -

...so how many onlookers were there?...fess up dammit......AND...were they wearing 250 magnifiers?...be proud now.....
Which time? I average about 25+ per offense. Walk into a Costco, go to the food area where everyone's pigging out on $1.50 wieners, stand on a table, and do the helicopter!
And I usually do everyone a favor by tying some shoe laces to it so they can see what's going on. Wouldn't want to inconvenience them by requiring magnifying glasses to enjoy the show! -

Right.
Coming from the resident homer. Perhaps just ignore my posts next time instead of being an edgelord. Careful, don't cut yourself being an internet badass. -

Its really not that hard to understand.....
He was a bill
We are fans of the bills
We want our players to do well
He is no longer a bill
What I dont understand is the blatant hatred for the guy.....as a human being he really is not a hard person to like....he exemplifies the "pool yourself up by your own bootstraps" mentality that some of us have lived our our lives.....some of us identify with him......he turned himself from a late round pick into a starter for a professional football team and managed to qb a team to a playoff birth
Sadly......it just was not good enough....those of us that had much respect for the guy wished that he could take that next step in his development and be the guy WE wanted.....but in the end he had reached his ceiling and was not going to improve.....
What I am not liking right now is the chip on his shoulder now seems to have been pointed towards the Buffalo Bills.....who frankly Tyrod should be just thanking for giving him the opportunity (much like Cog) in that there is a strong possibility that without that particular ideal time and situation for him he would not have gotten the opportunity to turn it into a lucrative contract. He could have easily fallen into that group of extreme athletes that were not qbs playing the qb postiion that never got their shot.....
He did....he should thank the bills for it and move on and concentrate on his new team.
I don't think he exemplifies the ""pool (pull) yourself up by your own bootstraps" mentality at all....
He was more of a guy who worked hard in practice, but did as little as possible in games. He tried to skate by playing it as safe as possible, trying to do just barely enough in hopes the defense & others would get us a win. The word "risk" was not in his vocabulary.
And I don't think people "hate" him, especially not as a human being, rather they hated the defense of him & his play style by those who refused to think objectively.
I never hated Tyrod, but by year 3, I was one of his biggest detractors. There's not a single thing about Tyrod the person I hate. I also appreciate & respect him as a former Bills player. He played for our team, I supported him & hoped for the best while he was here, but I still acknowledge he wasn't a good QB.I wish him the best in Cleveland, and hope he brings them at least mild success (or at least similar records as he brought us), as that would be 100 times better than what they've had in recent years. Just glad he's not a Bills player anymore (although I wouldn't say our QB play will be an improvement this year either).

You only get the 1Up if you have at least 3 onlookers, including 1 child.
Otherwise, what's the point? -

Are you suuuuuureee?
I remember all 3 guys got to start at some point, and there being a genuine desire to "see what Brohm can do," not only on the boards, but by management. -
We technically had more if you want to believe those coaches heading into training camp.
Kelvin Kolb, EJ Manuel & Jeff Tuel....Kolb took himself out of that one.
Also, I think in 2009 we had a competition between Trent Edwards, Ryan Fitzpatrick & Brian Brohm lol

How exactly is this "turning to crime to survive?"
The charges include two counts of forcible rape, one count of forcible sodomy, one count of forcible oral copulation, two counts of kidnapping with the intent to commit rape, and indecent exposure.
I know when I flash my junk in public, I typically get a "1Up" icon that appears above my head.
Not sure what that's about, but I assume it'll be useful if I die by falling off a platform or something... -

Ducasse was far from "miserable". The more playing time he got, the better he played.
Groy did play very well in place of Wood, but I think this staff will prefer to keep him as a swing backup, mainly due to his versatility. If a guard goes down, he could fill in there, as well as at center. I guess it will come down to how well Bondine looks at center in camp, but he doesn't have the versatility that Groy does (as far as I know).
Vlad, I believe, is a lock for LG. I don't know why people are still ragging on him. He played pretty well last year, although on the right side.
What..... You were on the boards last season right? Game after game there'd be posts littered with people breaking down Vlad's crappy play...He was a liability more than an asset.
Granted there were times he showed potential, but it seemed as if he was just punching above his weight class for short bursts rather than "this is who the guy really is."
Either way, not having Woods & Incognito (and yes, Glenn as well), is definitely going backwards.

When healthy, both Edelman & Benjamin are pretty even, although they offer completely different skill sets.
If Brandin Cooks was was still in the AFCE, I'd throw him a notch above both, but I think it's a tossup between Edleman & Benjamin.
However, when it comes to consistency & making clutch plays, I'd take Edelman. It's not always the big TD or 50 yard bomb that makes the difference in the game, but picking up those small first downs in crucial moments, or being able to elude one tackle and eek out that extra yard that can change a game. Edelman does that every game, while Benjamin is more like Watkins & disappears for stretches at a time. -

I work at a different Sheriff's Department, but I've never heard of these types of charges. Then again, I'm in Texas, so names could be different for similar charges. -

I voted Robbie Anderson but KB easily has the highest upside and tons of untapped potential. He was a 1st Rd pick for a reason. These reports are extremely encouraging, KB could easily surpass his 1000+ 10 TD rookie year.
Shady/Clay and a healthy full potential KB is lethal and will make the other WR lives much easier. KB could be a legit#1 WR
The offense can't be much worse than last year and potentially much better. Defense should be substantially better. We shouldn't be lowering expectations. This is a 10+ win team
Battles are won & loss in the trenches, and our offensive trenches have gotten worse by a large margin.
After that, not having any experience at the QB position could end up really killing us. Least experienced group in the league.
This offense could be historically awful. Defense will keep us in games like last season, but the offense is gonna be a rough thing to watch if this line can't play well above themselves. 10 wins in a division where we start 0-2 by default via the Pats (99% of the time), means we'd have to go 10-4 otherwise. Really think that's gonna happen with 1 decent WR and all the other offensive issues we have? -

I think Allen will be the starter week one. It will be hard to keep him off the field when he plays great in training camp.
It'd be nice if that was true, but I really can't see him suddenly becoming a great QB at the highest level in one off season, when he hasn't been great at any other level of his career up through this point.
I guess technically anything is possible, but it'd be a first of its kind situation, and it would be a shock if the Bills were the team to manage that when no other teams could. -
Try to reflect on that memory of Dalton throwing that TD pass, and the good feels it gave me.
Never again will so many random strangers feel so happy for me in my life.-

Offensive line always suffers injuries as it is, and last year our reserves didn't play very well as a whole. Some like Ducasse & Groy (IMO) played downright miserable, and now they're starters.
Our line already regressed substantially last year, but still managed to at least hold up enough to have a decent, not "good," run game. This year it's worse, so definitely expecting setbacks, especially when injuries take their toll. -
It still amuses me people think Allen not being a 1st or 2nd team All-Mountain West player doesn't matter.
Or that his accuracy and ability to read a defense has stayed the same at every level of his career.
He's never been a dominant player, yet the Bills are going to mold him into one at the top level? The Bills....really? With our history at developing QB's, and we're to expect them to pull off a miracle here?
No matter how hard I try to drink the Koolaid, no matter how many times I scour the internet for the positive articles & clips of Josh Allen, I still can't actually see this panning out. -
I'm so lost with this thread...
Clearly I missed something...but I read every single post hoping to get caught up & still nothing...
What did the OP do, what's the "Shaw66" thing, and where is my Batman mug!!?? -

12/24/16 Tyrod went for 329 against Miami. Is it correct that before that the last 300 yard passer was JP Losman throwing for 340 against Texans 11/19/06? I realized we have been horrible passing for a long time, but I didn't realize it was that big a draught. Hopefully whenever Josh gets his shot, he can string together some 300 yard games and bring a new dimension to our offense
Yeah, we haven't had any prolific passers since Flutie, and even he wasn't fantastic in that respect (though he had a good amount of 300+ yard games).
On the other hand, if it weren't for that Tyrod game going into Overtime, he wouldn't have hit 300 yards even once. We'd be looking at 2006 since our last 300 yard passer... -
Has there EVER been anyone to decline attending the ceremony?
If not, this just wreaks of self centered, "boo-hoo," sour grapes.
Other members of the HOF have had to wait far longer. Others have felt disrespected. Others felt they deserved to be in, but had to wait due to petty reasons. All still attended the ceremony & were appreciative when they finally did get selected. Art Monk waited how many years before he was selected? He should've taken the opportunity to show he was humble, not further cement the idea that he was a selfish, ego-driven, "me-first" kind of guy.
But nope, he went the route that only highlighted what so many people already believed. Oh well, if that's how he wants to be remembered. -

Finally, how often has a team gone from playoffs to horrible? You'd have to have major injuries like the Colts losing Manning.
Often. It's happened a lot.
Even without injuries, it happens nearly every year. There's also been quite a few who have made it to the Super Bowl who fail to even make the playoffs the following year. Also, Groy is significantly worse than Woods, Dawkins is serviceable but not as good as Glenn, and our best O-linemen was Incognito & he's gone. The other starters were bad, and the line last year was mediocre....even in run blocking.
It'd be insane not to think they'd be significantly worse this year, especially as injuries take their toll (as they do every season). Whatever QB we have behind center is in for a rocky ride, and since none have much of any starting NFL experience, expect them to have a hell of a time. Shady being 1 year older will probably mean we'll be seeing a lot more of a rotation in the run game, so it'd be hard for them to actually IMPROVE this year. At best, I hope they can maintain at least moderate success.
-
So technically we're 26th out of 32 since they began the list at #2 for some odd reason...
But I'd put us near the best logos for sure. It's what got me into the team as a 5 year old kid, and somehow I stuck with em

Well, he stood by his words. I may not agree with the logic behind it, but unlike all those morons who say "I'll move to Canada if _______ is elected!" he actually followed through.
So hats off to him for not being a liar.-
