The domed stadiums I’ve been in can’t compare to the Bills game day experience.  Maybe it’s the structure or maybe it’s the fans.  Maybe both.  Just wish the canopy could’ve been more like the donut hole in the old Cowboys place.

I haven't been to a ton of domed stadiums, but both AT&T stadium in Dallas & Reliant Stadium in Houston (could be something else now), were waaaaay better game experiences for me than any of my trips to Highmark.

The tailgating and social aspect was more fun in Buffalo, but while watching the actual game? I absolutely loved my time in both domed stadiums. Seats were comfortable, view was awesome, screens were beautiful, plenty of leg room, easy to navigate, extremely clean (for stadiums), and very, very loud.

Even though Reliant was only 3/4 full for the game I went to (Bills vs Texans in Josh's rookie season), I was shocked that it was louder than the last time I went to Buffalo. I dunno, maybe the fans were in a lull for that game, but I never expected Texans fans to bring so much energy.

How much better are they than Bass? Tucker, McPherson and Bass al missed 5 kicks last year. Sanders missed 4. Bass had the lowest percentage but he was effectively even with McPherson. Most kickers get so few reps these days that a couple more in any direction skews the stats a lot to make you think a guyw as great or terrible. Bass had his worse year since his rookie year with 5 misses for 82.8 percent, coming off back to back 87% seasons where he had 4 misses across 3 and 4 more attempts respectively.

It's not just how many he missed, it's about % of misses vs attempts and from what distance. Bass was ranked 21st in FG% out of kickers who had 20+ attempts.

    Tucker (86.5%) - 32 of 37 (including 31 of 32 under 50 yards)

    Sanders (85.7%) - 24 of 28 (including 19 of 21 under 50 yards)

    McPherson (83.9%) - 26 of 31 (including 19 of 19 under 50 yards / 7 of 12 from 50+)

    Bass (82.9%) - 24 of 29 (including 20 of 23  under 50 yards)

So you're right in that Bass isn't super far off, but he's still not great either. All of McPherson's misses were from 50+ yards, as were all but 1 from Tucker.

  3. If he continued jogging through practice, it's probably fine. They're just being safe.

Also, let's not act like there aren't tons of practice injuries that happen to much larger players every year.

Sorry, not trying to get too serious or anything. Laughing at the Chiefs having bad luck is fine, but I feel bad laughing at injuries 😅

    We said this last year.

They’ll boat race bad teams again.

Remains to be seen if their defense has enough to stop elite QB’s

Fortunately for them, there's enough bad teams to carry them to the playoffs. It took an epic collapse at the end to lose the division last year.

Even our own defense hasn't proven they can stop elite QBs either (especially not in the playoffs). That's why I've wanted the Bills to stop investing so many resources into D & go all in on just trying to overwhelm with offense.

If we can't shut down (or even contain) Burrow or Mahomes in the playoffs, we need to be able to out gun them. Dolphins seem to think the same thing, only their QB isn't as good as ours.

Haven’t seen a fanbase fall for a guy this fast since Josh. His embedded video should come with a screen protector and a keyboard cover.

Crazy how viral this clip went. Everyone was reposting all over Twitter. Saw tons of comments from other fans saying "hate the Bills, but love this guy!" or "He's a national treasure, protect at all costs!"

  6. Did we do enough at wide receiver? Definitely not.

But there also wasn't much they could do, so it's not like I'm upset about it either.

The only real surprise was drafting just 1 WR and leaving it at that. In a deep WR class, surely you'd think they'd try their hands at multiple guys, but nope.

Hopefully that doesn't come back to bite them in the ass. Again, I don't think there was much else they could've done though.

  7. I hope it ends up like the Chiefs' OL.

Anchored by young players drafted by them, with strong veterans rounding it out.

Dawkins, McGovern moving back to G, Van Pran-Granger, Torrence, and Brown/another draft prospect (maybe Travis Clayton pans out 🤞) could be a pretty strong unit.

I'm definitely optimistic about where things are headed.

  8. I may have my expectations too high, but if he doesn't win the starting C spot I'll be disappointed.

He's my favorite pick in this draft, and it'd be awesome to see a talented young center takeover & anchor the line. The more I learn about him, the more hyped up I get!

He's got the potential to be our best player in this class, and that's no disrespect to Coleman or the others.

  9. Separation has been his biggest red flag, but there are routes where he's been very successful.

He's probably not going to be someone you have running go routes, but he's been touted as a "big slot" guy. Every year, it seems like someone is the new "slot guy" for us, whether it be Kincaid last year, or Shakir before that.

The video I grabbed this graphic from reviewed the last 32 players that finished in the 35% or under percentile in terms of separation in college, and only 5 players were "hits" or close to it.

    Those players were:

    1. Amon-Ra St. Brown

    2. Cooper Kupp

    3. Juju Smith-Schuster

    4. Tyler Boyd

    5. Rashee Rice

He's in the 20th percentile for man coverage, 19th against press. However, he's at 80% against zone, so that's one major plus in bag already.

It's less about the post and more about the poster.

He's become a repetitive troll that most of the community is sick of, engages in multiple pointless crusades that he's been repeatedly warned about and suspended for, and is now rapidly approaching the point where he's just going to be permanently removed with no further warnings because folks are tired of his schtick.

Ahhh... my mistake. I frequent the board a lot, but I rarely pay attention to the exact person posting.

I read that post at work & chuckled, then saw all the dislikes. Usually Bills fans appreciate a good joke, but now it makes more sense.

  11. I'm sometimes guilty of looking at college numbers & letting that affect my perception.

When you think of a WR1, especially in pass-happy college offenses, you don't think 50 receptions/650 yards.

But college stats don't really mean much when it comes to NFL production. Anyone remember how negative many were on using a 3rd round pick on Dawson Knox?

What was special about a guy whose best season was 300 rec yards, or having 0 TDs through his entire college career? Thankfully, Beane knew better than I did. He's not a superstar, but he's definitely been productive & a good TE when healthy.

Anyway, I'm trying to keep that in mind with Coleman.

  12. Because that dries up come winter & playoff time.

The deep passing game isn't consistent in wind, cold, and the elements.

Look at Mahomes, he also has a great arm, yet he averages the lowest air yards per TD pass. He can easily throw it all over the place, but they prioritize results over everything else.

We've always been happy when Josh takes what the defensive gives him & stays patient, so now they're trying to help him be consistent.

  13. I posted this in the live thread, but just to remind people:

    - Christian Benford in the 6th round (185th overall)

    - Dane Jackson in the 7th round (239th overall)

Daequan Hardy could definitely see some playing time regardless of where he was drafted. My sources tell me he's already surpassed Kaiir Elam on the depth chart 😉
