  2. Yeah...

Wiki is good for stuff like who was drafted or who won SB IV.

It's not a bad way to learn about a new topic, assuming the article has good sources. It's also a decent way to find sources, but it's not a source in itself. There should be a "basic research ability" requirement for elected officials.

  3. @mikerodak

NFL announces Bills WR Walter Powell has been suspended for the first four games of the regular season for violating the league's performance-enhancing substance policy. Powell played in nine games last season, catching 14 passes for 142 yards before an ankle injury ended his year. He was on the roster bubble this summer.

    His bubble just popped.

  4. As an engineer, I used most of what I learned in school, except Calculus. OK, technically I used Calculus concepts with respect to PID control systems, but even then I never had to take a derivative or an integral or solve a differential equation - I just had to know that derivative means instantaneous slope and integral is a summation.

I tell my engineering students that algebra and trig only solve 99.99% of the problems; for the rest, you need Calculus.

  5. ...sorry but extending his playing days should amount to a one day Bills contract, retire as a Bill and end up on WOF....go out on top FredEx..................

Yes. It's time. Emotionally I was bummed when the Bills cut him, but even then my brain knew it was the right thing to do. The past two seasons have pretty much proven that. I love ya, Freddie, but at this point a mid-round rookie is probably at least as productive and less injury-prone. Walk away - don't limp.
