Agreed, but I understand those 55 and older prefer Connery.

I'm told if you watched The Saint during it's original broadcasts it would ruin Moore as Bond.

I only saw The Saint during re-runs at the cottage in the mid-70s.

I'm under 55 (not by much) and Connery is my favorite Bond. Roger Moore was admirable, though. He had a tough act to follow, and he did it well.

I'm shaken but not stirred by this news.

Someone posted on FB that John Mayer was God with regard to his work with D&C. My reply was if he was really a God re his musical ability wouldn't he be raking in the dough playing his own music vs playing Jerry's riffs?

I wouldn't call John Mayer a god, but he is an excellent guitarist. His own music is a bit too "pop" for me, but I was really impressed with him when I saw D&C. He and Oteil were playing off of each other all through the show. Their chemistry with the rest of the band was great. And he's not playing Jerry's riffs - Bob Weir specifically said that they didn't want an imitator; they wanted someone who knew how to jam. That's why they picked Trey Anastasio for Fare Thee Well, and why they went with Mayer for D&C.

  3. For strictly on-field performance, I don't think I've ever hated a Bills player more than Fitzpatrick. Whether it was the ball slipping out of his baby hands whenever he tried to put some extra zip on a throw, or one of a seemingly endless list of 4th quarter choke jobs, it hit me very early on that this guy was just a born loser. Even when he played well it seemed like it was happening by accident. Seems like a nice guy off the field, but excruciatingly frustrating to watch as your team's QB.

Even more than the guy he replaced? Fitz is a mediocre QB at best, but at least he plays with guts and passion. Trent played like his mother would yell at him if he got grass stains on his uniform.

  4. ...the Wrecks experiment was a two year setback.....so we're back to ground zero at least with some young gun football guys in charge.......playoffs may not be a reasonable goal this early, but who the hell knows?...so stay tuned....

I will. (See above post about being crazy.)

  5. Mildly optimistic. It was clear that Rex was taking the team in the wrong direction, so I'm expecting some improvement due to the coaching change. Frankly, I don't think it'll take a LOT of improvement to at least make the playoffs, so I'm not ruling out the postseason entirely, but I'm also not expecting it this year.

After 17 years and no playoffs.. you are crazy if you are optimistic.

We're Bills fans. Calling us crazy is redundant.
