  1. I 100% agree Taylor was not good in that game (though unlike the Cincinnati and Bengals games there were a handful of excellent plays he made), but calling a game that the Bills had a chance to drive down and tie (or win) with over a minute remaining in the game if they converted an onside kick full of garbage time is misguided.

    There's a reason a game is 48 minutes. Not 40 or 42 or 45.

In 2013 the Patriots were down the entire game against the Browns by multiple scores... all the way until the last 4 minutes of the game when the Patriots scored and converted an onside kick. The Patriots went on to win.

Say all you want about Brady being the GOAT, except there would have been no chance to win that game without the conversion.

Blowouts that end with lopsided scores have garbage time.

But there's no garbage time in a game like that. That's what we love about the NFL and why the players keep playing... anything can happen.

If Tyrod improves in his areas where he's not very strong and has a good year, save me a seat on his bandwagon.

I'll buy you a beer and pistachios.

  2. Just make sure that when your applying that broad paint brush your doing it with ALL NFL QBs

Every QB in the league is gonna have quarters of football where they are not effective......that is why it is a team sport.

While Rothelsraper was throwing his picks in this game his running game was gashing our defense and their D was holding us down.

I am simply pointing out that there are throws in those highlights that TT haters say he simply cannot make......but there they are right on the video.

We were just talking about this game. It sounding like you're saying he wasn't that bad based on a few throws in a highlight reel.

I think you're taking things too literal.

If someone says "he can't make those throws" doesn't mean 100%. It means he struggles pretty bad with them.

That's like saying "Gilmore can't tackle" and then showing a clip of him making a tackle as proof he can. It just means he's not a good tackler.

  3. If you are familiar with the situation you would know that they drafted Humphries to play lt. Not right tackle. Doesnt make since to pay Veldheer top ten money and draft Humphries.

During the offseason, it appears the Arizona Cardinals are ready to turn over the starting left tackle job to D.J. Humphries, who filled in very well late in the season when Jared Veldheer went on injured reserve.

It is the position the Cardinals drafted him for and it looks like the switch will be made. Both general manager Steve Keim and offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin have suggested that is the way they plan to go.

    https://www.google.com/amp/cardswire.usatoday.com/2017/02/23/are-the-cardinals-sure-jare-veldheer-can-play-right-tackle/amp/

But if Veldheer is their best tackle...shouldn't they keep him there? That's your whole point...is it not?

  4. No he moved due to injury, and the injury situation only. Coach never woke up and said hey lets experiment. The whole apology thing was sarcastic, and I did it soley to illicit a response from those that were completely and are completely wrong on the subject.

Noone wakes up and says hey lets put my best blindside protector at right tackle and my worst offensive linemen at lt. No one. All of you suggesting this will get clowned on by the coaching staff this year when you see that a. Glenn is playing lt, and b. Cyrus doesnt even crack the starting line up. Oh man you guys make me laugh...

Read the article specifically where it states the only reason whitworh was moved was die to injury.

For all but five of the 61 plays they ran against the Chargers in their Week 13 contest at Qualcomm Stadium, the Bengals were forced into the unenviable task of replacing their two starting offensive guards. Right guard Kevin Zeitler already was missing in action, declared inactive before the game due to a foot injury that has slowed him the last three weeks. He made the trip, but didn't participate.

He ended up getting joined on the sidelines by left guard Clint Boling, a third-year lineman from Georgia who succumbed to a knee injury on the Bengals' second drive. Coach Marvin Lewis after the game called it "significant." During his news conference back in Cincinnati on Monday, he outlined just how bad it was.

What about his link about the Cardinals moving tackles?

  5. Wow...TD over the middle in the end zone to Sammy

    TD throw to Clay

    Scored 20 points

Our defense got ran over on the ground

Yeah this looks like Tyrod had a bde day

You should have stuck with showing game 1 over and over

    John....he was horrible this game.

We punted 6 out of our first 7 possessions and only scored once before the 4th...on Gilmores INT where he brought it to the 7 yard line.

We had 73 total yards at half time and 85 by the end of the 3rd.

Do you just look at the raw stats at the end of the game and don't include garbage time?

  6.

PFF did a crude analysis and found it didn't matter. That being said, no one knows how Groy would fare at RT, just like we won't know if KuJo can play as well at RT as he did at LT, until training camp. Since FA was a bust, that leaves the draft, so they probably can't wait to find out of the other guys can do it or not.

From what I understand, I think tackles are weak this year so I think we have to work with what we have.

  7. 33 1/4 inch arms, short arms for a guy that's 6'5? From what I hear 33 inches is the minimum for a tackle. Maybe some of the resident scouting junkies can confirm or deny that.

Size doesn't matter. Does it apply to football?

If you have shorter arms like Joe Thomas...you better have great feet. Thomas is 32 1/2 arms.

I don't know if Groy has the feet but I hope so.

  8. Groy at RT? I know Groy played well at center down the stretch but did anyone watch him play guard in the pre season? I was surprised he made the roster honestly. He is a monster that can hide at center but at guard and especially tackle he would be exposed. I like him as a backup center and swing guard but nothing more. Go to the tape before you pencil him in at RT.

If Kuanjo at LT is the best combo then go for it.

Yeah I remember him in preseason and couldn't believe he made the team. I was sure Patrick Lewis would replace Wood. Groy was a pleasant surprise for sure.

  9. the thought had been they would cut him outright if they got Zach. They play the same position. That they decided to restructure today may indicate they know they need to hang on to him. I honesty don't know what their cap situation is though so could go either way if they are in cap jail.

    Ahh...I see.
  10. Is Miami preparing to not get Zach? The thought had been Misi would get cut if he signed there due to his cap hit

    @flasportsbuzz

As @AndySlater reported a few minutes ago, a source confirms to me that Koa Misi has agreed to restructure his contract.

Wouldn't the restructured contract allow more room for Zach?

  11. I have read and heard from several places that CK plays better at LT because a previous knee injury hampers him at RT. Does anyone know if this is a fact or not? Seems to me if an NFL player has lingering effects from an injury that reduces his strength in going a certain direction then he would be replaced by someone who has no issues. It isnt like he is an All Pro veteran that even at 75% he is better than most players at his position. Am I wrong?

Apparently he can't push off very well when he plays on the right side because of his right knee.
