  1. I thought he had a JAGish camp? At least that is what I have heard. They guy I have heard played up some is Cam Kline. I definitely think they could trade Basham if an offer was there. I hear Shaq is in danger but down the stretch last year the guy was pretty solid.
  2. I hope he gets better at OT with age rather than wiser
  3. In terms of DVOA and offensive/defensive rankings the Bills have to be near historic highs over the last three years in the regular season. Often a team with a great offense gives up more yards...not true with the Bills. That just shines a brighter light on the playoff results. 2019: Houston...the Bills were barely a playoff team, I think they were 50/50 to win that game and it went to OT, they lost 2020: This team was not on KC's level and they lost to them in the championship game 2021: The staff botched 2021/13 seconds. Another OT loss. 2022: IMHO The Bills were not ready for the field conditions and this contributed heavily to the slow start they never recovered from. I do also think there was supreme mental/emotional exhaustion that set in. I know what some may say but two playoff losses have been in OT which is a crap shoot, both times they played good enough on the road to make it to OT but then lost. There is some luck (or unluck) with that. The reality is the NFC has less good teams, the king of the league year in and year out is KC right now and they happen to be in the Bills conference. I don't think the staff is incompetent but they have had some bad moments in key spots, that needs to stop. The simple reality is every year not winning the SB is a disappointment right now. Fans will find a reason why the staff/organization has failed if they don't win the SB, it just comes with the territory.
  4. I agree Morse is staying on the team but I don't understand the bolded. Every NFL team gets to have a 48 active player if its an 8th OL which most teams including the Bills take full advantage of. Bates is a versatile backup but it does not change how many OL the Bills carry or activate on gameday
  5. Allen
  6. And it Kyle Shanahan who gets nobody QB's to produce routinely.
  7. If you want to solve the cap problem this year without taking from future cap, Morse is a cut target...I floated that a while back and got lambasted even though like you I figure he sticks this year. If he was to get cut we know why.....I do wonder if they opt to keep some surprise guys over some who are schedule for a couple million to save here and there a little bit. They don't have to and probably won't.
  8. Based on some fans..."OLINE SHMOLINE"
  9. This is exactly my point of making the thread....the Bills have some knobs to turn but not as many as years past and ones you may not want to turn.
  10. Cutting down turnovers should be his goal and he has stated that publicly. The key is doing that while still being Superman which is not an easy task. People blaming the OL should listen to the all 22 review by Joe Marino for a different perspective and how josh contributes to the pressure.
  11. A Milano trade? That is definitely part of it....there are not a lot of target in the top 51 that result in big savings though....it gets better if you spread it over two years but that just makes next year a little worse
  12. They need space this year. Something has to happen
  13. A restructure would just move money from this year to next year and maybe one more if they do they void year thing. You can’t just make it an easy cut the guy has an agent and they know that game and he has certain guarantees already. If you want something from the player they want a committment. Yeah I noticed that too. At some point you have to get younger and cheaper. I think this should happen. It will be easy if they win the Super Bowl. Otherwise this place will be all chicken littles.
  14. I agree....however they have to agree on a contract.....look at what DT's are getting. If they cant get to a reasonable number you may be stuck dealing with Tre or Dawkins which most in this thread don't like. I agree with them, I would not want to extend either right now.
  15. At this point they need to generate space for guys they currently have. No team has zero holes.
  16. The Bills have somewhere around 2.2M in cap space at this time with top 51. After next week they need 53 plus IR guys, plus practice squad. They also need 5-6M for in season moves. There is room for some movement when they cut to 53 depending on who they cut but more than likely they will need to restructure or extend someone with decent base salary. The top options are Dawkins (8.8M), Tre (8.6M), D Jones (6.75M), Morse, (6.64M) Taron Johnson (5.5M). I bet they extend Dawkins but I would rather keep Jones and T Johnson longer, any other thoughts? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/
  17. We had a one year hiatus of the "Im butt hurt by some national media because they don't love the Bills like I do", now its back forever.
  18. Usually these are natural gas related
  19. I will say yes.....sports science and rules to reduce injuries of passing.....the NFL sack leader is often around 20 sacks for the year which is higher than it was 30 years ago. Quarterbacks are better about getting rid of the ball than in Bruce's time. I love Bruce, he was my favorite but he is not the leader in sacks/year, he is the career leader. Similar to Brady being the passing leader, he just played more years than some other guys.
  20. Lets blow thing thing out of proportion with a new thread, same overaction
  21. Both can be true at the same time. The preseason games matter but not for the reasons most fans are thinking. They are really there to prepare for the season, it is practice.
  22. He is much more level headed and pragmatic than the typical fan who flys off the handle over every little thing.
  23. I bet I know what the "A" stands for
  24. People overblow the OL thing by a mile…. actually many miles. Keep in mind josh Allen holds the ball longer than every qb in the league. He is one of the toughest qbs to block for because he ends up running anywhere. There are two new starters this year at G and while I agree the tackles are inconsistent it is not nearly as bad as people say. The Steelers have some of the best edge guys around. Chill
