Are we going dumpster diving in Free Agency and then hoping we hit in the draft at WR?

Yes I think so.  Diggs, Shakir and Kincaid are better than many think.  You will see a vet probably but at the right price.

Don't understand extending Dawkins. Obviously I don't have all the contract details. I'm sure it saves them cap this year. I just wouldn't tie my hands to him for that many years. He's been up and down for the last few years and has never been elite.

That said he has mostly been healthy and many LTs play well into their 30's.

Hope it was the right move and I will give Beane benefit of the doubt on this one.

Not a popular opinion but there are at least two of us!  I would have let his deal play out vs pay him top 5 money.  He is a good player, even better person and always available.   But not a top 5 player, there is my beef.  He had the leverage to push for that with PB's and time missed but the Bills could have just let it play out.

  3. If the Bills are truly just near neutral, they either will not do much else or they need to do some more work which would be restructuring Diggs (boo) or extending Taron Johnson.  Johnson wont buy that much though  I guess they do more conversion of Allen's deal but I am guessing we will see low one year deals from here on out.   On June 1 they will get 10M for Tre but that will be needed for draft class, practice squad and in season injuries.  It seems like we are seeing a conservative Beane this year.

Yeah. Hard to know if this was instead of Jones or in addition to.

But they need another one. Want another NT in case Jones gets hurt.

Agree but they need numbers at DT so it could be in addition.  I just think we will be looking at lower priced guys from here on out.

Honestly, as much as JA will win us games, he will also lose some due to his sporadic undisciplined improv playing style. I mean, it's fun to watch as fans, but it just has to be a nightmare for the team sometimes.

especially in the playoff and other big games when this stuff happens all the time.  I mean it would be one thing if it happened is like week1 or something.

Josh has never been one to ruffle feathers, so he's never "forcing himself out of Buffalo."

never say never......I cannot see that happening any time in the near future but it could eventually depending on how the organization handles things.   He easily deserves a bigger deal at this point but he knew that would be the case.  I dont think there is any panic anywhere but it will get redone  IMO...I think next offseason.

I know a Josh signing an extension next year seems to be the talk on the board, but I don't see why it needs to be.

He is signed through the 2028 season with a current cap hit that year of $45M.

Beane could easily just restructure $20M or so again next year.

I see Josh getting the extension at the end of the 2026 season.  He would have $15M-$20M in void year money then.

That's a good time for a new contract.  Heck, Mahomes already has way more than that at the end of his contract.

He will get a reworked deal if he pushes for it and he has the leverage to do it,  you don't want Josh unhappy.   The one they should have said no to was the last extension for Diggs because Hill got a big deal.

  8. Not sure where they are cap wise but I don’t want to restructure Diggs.  I think they can gain some more space by extending Johnson and. Maybe a couple other minor moves.  I don’t expect much more but as FA goes I expect low end wr  safety dt de and ol signings.  Kinda like Rapp and puna last year type deals.

I understand that but Pittsburgh has zero skin in the game.  What happens if a QB they didn’t think would be there lasts until their pick?  Or let’s say Pickett looks decent in training camp.  Or Pittsburgh starts 0-2 with Wilson starting.  Feels like Wilson is trying too hard to show people he still wants to play.  Even $5m from Pittsburgh shows some commitment towards Wilson.

Its the nature of the contractual situation, 5M for Pitt benefits the Broncos cap by 5M, why would the Steelers or RUss want to do that.
