  1. You tell me to find someone else to love
Someone who'll love me too (love me too)
The way you used to do (used to do)
But each time I go out with someone new
You walk by and I fall to pieces
You walk by and I fall to pieces

  2. Well, at this point he is no longer our concern, no longer a Bill. I agree with the well wishes and will be interested in where he does land. I'll be especially curious about his new compensation. Will teams completely disregard his political / vax rules and sign him based on his athleticism alone?

I dont know for certain but I think if a team needs his skillset (which we all agree he has a Lot of positive attributes in his game) they'll sign him regardless. That;s another teams decision now. I just really hope he goes to a non AFC East division team. Seeing his success AGAINST us would suck Im not gonna lie.

Excellent point and spot on.  Going one step further, he was a fan favorite—a warrior who came up big in games, a guy who played through pain—clearly connected with JA—who can forget the “I love you Josh Allen” comments—and his teammates.

I recall watching him play for Dallas and thinking how great it would be to have a player like that on our team.

I wish him well and appreciate all he did for the franchise in a short time.  He was part of the crew that made the Bills fun to watch again.

    Great player.

the best word I can think of to describe Cole Beasley is Tough and CLUTCH.

Beasley has a $500k roster bonus due on March 20th.  If the Bills want to free up the maximum  cap benefit, expect him to be shipped out by then one way or another.

He is not gonna agree to a "large pay cut".

Im changing my stance on Beasley. He's a goner. I wish him well but I just can't see the Bills keeping him now that they have spent like they have in free agency. I say draft a WR and CB in first 2 rounds ...and I hope they also happen to be BPA when the Bills do draft them. Im an idealistic thinker eh?

    Aww shucks.

It's likely really a 2-3 year deal that will stick us with a good amount of dead cap in '25 or so. But everybody knows that.

I would expect to see a modest but guaranteed first year salary, and of course a signing bonus prorated for 5 years. Year 2 will be more costly but still not as bad as it will initially seem. The reason it's 6 years is so they can include more fully guaranteed money at signing but spread it out a little further. Expect year 2 to have a nice large guaranteed option bonus that will show a large cap hit in 2023, but will be converted into signing bonus at the start of '23 and can then be prorated over years 2-6 of the deal. Year 2 will also likely include a trigger of some sort that will guarantee at least some of the '24 salary. As will year 3 and maybe even 4. Or possibly a sizeable roster bonus instead. Either one will force the Bills to make a decision early on an aging vet with a monster contract starting in 2024.

you're the man with the answers to cap questions mate, Own it 🙂  great to read you here.

It's actually simple. Bonus money can be spread out over the length of the contract. Base salary can't. Base salary can be converted into bonus money and spread out.

So you can keep doing it but there's a risk. Once the player you keep kicking cap down the road for starts to decline you start to get into trouble. I mean the Saints cleared like $80 million in cap without cutting anyone. Owners don't like giving out all that bonus money.

it's all the converting and moving around that confounds me mate . Math is not my jam but I fully respect folks that have that aptitude. kudos Thank you for the insight. 🙂

I’m kind of bittersweet we didn’t trade for him last year now…we saved some picks but Im pretty sure we would’ve won it all last year with von on board

I hope lamenting last years season will become a distant and dare say a forgotten memory after we finally achieve the Lombardi This seson. It's my fervent hope anyway 🙂

It's the same contract as Chandler Jones but with cap pushed back. So 2 years from now there will be a high cap hit but there ways to work around it. Josh Allen has huge base salaries. The easiest way to clear cap in 2024 and 2025 will be to convert those base salaries to bonus cash. Plus the TV money will boost the cap a lot.

In other words don't worry about the cap numbers.

granted the cap is a complicated formula that very few can truly explain. One of those is a poster named @Tuco I hope he chimes in.

I think the pass rush was pretty underrated last season too so they could be absolute animals this year.

I would think adding a guy like Von Miller into the mix will serve to make the entire DL more productive and better. Its exciting to ponder the possibilities moving forward that is for sure! I frankly don't care who eats as long as someone on that line does ya know?

    GO BILLS!~!~!!!

  10. And you'll kiss me like I'm everything
    Something in me comes undone
And I'll wake up in the morning
    Knowing once again you've gone

    God knows I love you
    I'll let these things be
But I don't know if I like you
When you do these things to me

The game is won and lost in the trenches, wether anyone likes it or not,  all offensive and defensive play calls success stems from the lines.

    Go Bills!!!

we are at a point wherein our team has its key integral Franchise QB in place, we have playmakers on offense and a stout secondary. I agree with you, fortify and dominate in the trenches moving forward will put this team over the Top. IMO Beanes'  last years  acquisitions shored up the defensive line while seemingly not addressing the OL to the extent fans wanted (my perception anyway) .  I think Beane is playing this according to plan and as always he will make choices based on need AND availibility. His record is pretty danged good with a miss in Cody Ford oh well.  I'm looking forward to TC  to see all our new presents haha

I don't know that I can agree with this take.  We are hearing that players are reaching out to us and might take less money, but nothing has really happened yet.  As of now, we've plugged holes from departing players or re-signed out own.  You could argue that Saffold is an upgrade, but I wouldn't use that to qualify it as a successful day.

We honestly don't have the money to know if we would have drawn more attention from big name FA's.

I'm still surprised we haven't re-worked Digg's deal to free up some money.  Right now, even if we wanted to bring back Wallace, grab a WR, or Chandler, we couldn't.

winners discount Virgil, is that reality? Im asking because in theory it sounds plausible but in my mind I thought players will go for the payday (all things being equal) any NFL player taking a discount has to be an anomaly imo

*shrugs* JJ Watt one example that screams out to me.

I can see a player wanting to play for a contender Yes  but to take less money when your career is nowhere near guaranteed.......This contract stuff is numbers mumbo jumbo to me...I guess a player would at the minimum negotiate and his agent make His money by making the best deal for his client possible.........I dont begin to understand players rationales clearly
