  1. Me and my friends do this every yr and we have a scoring system we use.

    3pts = direct hit = player spot & team

2pts= player in spot or player to exact team.

1pt = Position to team pk. Basically if u pk OJ Howard to Bills at #10 and they take Njoku u get a pt for getting position correct.

We add up the score at the end of first rd. Tie breaker is who ever has more direct hit pks.

That seems like a good system.

This is how the scoring system works on NFL.com

    http://predictpick.nfl.com/prizing

You will earn Fantasy Points based on the accuracy of the selections you made on your Draft Card in comparison to the actual results of round 1 of the Draft as outlined in the below chart. NOTE: Prior to submitting your Draft Card, double check your selections to ensure that you are selecting players who are draft-eligible.

Note that you are guessing the pick order, not the team who picks each player. In the event of a trade, your picks will not change order with the trading teams. For example, if team A trades up from the 12th pick to the 4th pick, your pick order will stay the same regardless of which NFL team picks in that slot.

POINT LEVEL DEFINITION FANTASY POINTS EARNED Correct Pick 100 Fantasy Points will be awarded for each selected prospect on your Draft Card who was picked during round 1 of the Draft in the same number order as your selection.

Example: if you selected John Doe to be picked first on your Draft Card and if during the 2017 NFL Draft he was actually picked first, then you will receive 100 Fantasy Points.

100 Fantasy Points One Away 50 Fantasy Points will be awarded for each selected prospect on your Draft Card who was picked during round 1 of the Draft either 1 position before or after your selection.

Example: if you selected John Doe to be picked second on your Draft Card and if during the 2017 NFL Draft he was actually picked either first or third, then you will receive 50 Fantasy Points.

50 Fantasy Points Two Away 20 Fantasy Points will be awarded for each selected prospect on your Draft Card who was picked during round 1 of the Draft either 2 positions before or after your selection.

Example: if you selected John Doe to be picked third on your Draft Card and if during the 2017 NFL Draft he was actually picked either first or fifth, then you will receive 20 Fantasy Points.

20 Fantasy Points Three Plus (but still selected in first round) 10 Fantasy Points will be awarded for each selected prospect on your Draft Card who was picked during round 1 of the Draft either 3 or more positions before or after your selection.

Example: if you selected John Doe to be picked tenth on your Draft Card and if during the 2017 NFL Draft he was actually picked seventh (or earlier) or between thirteenth and thirty-second, then you will receive 10 Fantasy Points.

    10 Fantasy Points

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to earn Bonus Fantasy Points, which are based on the quantity of Correct Picks (as defined above) made on your Draft Card as follows:

POINT LEVEL BONUS FANTASY POINTS EARNED 5 to 9 Correct Picks 100 Bonus Fantasy Points 10 to 14 Correct Picks 200 Bonus Fantasy Points 15 to 19 Correct Picks 300 Bonus Fantasy Points 20 to 24 Correct Picks 400 Bonus Fantasy Points 25 to 29 Correct Picks 500 Bonus Fantasy Points 30 to 32 Correct Picks 600 Bonus Fantasy Points

Scoring Example: If a participant picks, in exact order, the thirty-two (32) first round Draft picks, he/she will accrue 3,100 Fantasy Points + 600 Bonus Fantasy Points for a total of 3,700 Fantasy Points (maximum number of Fantasy Points available). If a prospective NFL player is picked by a team in the first round of the Draft but was not included in the list of pre-identified prospective NFL players provided on the Fantasy Game Page during the Promotion Period, no Fantasy Points will be earned for that pick. If a participant does not fill in all thirty-two (32) slots in his/her Draft Card by the completion of the Promotion Period, no Fantasy Points will be earned for the pick(s) which was left blank.

I think the Bills draft board looks like this.

    1) Garrett

    2) Hooker

    3) Adams

    4) Lattimore

    5) Watson

    6) Howard

    7) Thomas

    8) Reddick

    9) Peppers

    10) Allen

But do we have a TRUE #2? Coaches say stuff, I don't always believe them. I still think we need more talent, numbers isn't enough.

With 9 WRs on the roster I think they either add one in round 3 or round 4 (acquired by trading down in round 2).

  2.

I've made my thoughts pretty clear on Darnold thus far but I don't really see much in Rosen or Allen either at this point. Falk, Rudolph might stand a chance at progressing but I really don't see much in the way of a surefire thing, especially in the underclassmen group.

If I like a QB in this class, I'm pulling the trigger. Simply because I'm not waiting 12 months on a bunch of What If? types next year. Obviously, how we feel about the current and future classes shapes the perspective we have on that.

    I agree 100% with this.

  3. I think they will both be probowlers.

McCaffery is the best slot WR in the draft and also a great change of pace RB (has a jump cut similar to Shady). I think he will be a mix of Sproles and Edelman at the next level. He already runs routes like a pro WR, best in the draft at route running. He might even end up being a better WR than Williams and Davis. Who cares what his bench press was?

Peppers is going to play multiple positions in the secondary. His versatility will make him invaluable. He is the perfect player to defend these offenses that split TEs out wide. He can play a hybrid S/LB/CB role.

Both guys could end up being probowl special teams players.

I strongly disagree with people that do not like these guys.

I don't view either one as a first rounder. Peppers doesn't have a position and McCaffery is a RB with some durability questions.

I think that McCaffery will be a flash in the pan. He'll sizzle for a season or two and the disappear.

I think that Peppers will have the longer, more impactful career, but, again, to me, not a first rounder.

I will be surprised if either are available at pick 20.

    https://www.pewterreport.com/lb-jarrad-davis-records-incredible-athletic-numbers-uf-pro-day/

Whew boy. LB Jarrad Davis with a 38.5" vertical jump.

    Trevor Sikkema @TampaBayTre

And it continues. LB Jarrad Davis with a 10' 9" broad jump.

Jarrad Davis said his official 40 time today was a 4.56 (second fastest in Indy). Said that's the best time he's ever run, even in training.

He seems to be more of an ILB prospect on most sites.

  5. I honestly believe Reddick can play any of the LB positions, and I think he possesses the type of versatility that McDermott likes in a player.

I am a big fan of Reddick. I think he can play all LB positions and DE in speed packages. He is one of the bast pass rushers in the class and at the senior bowl he was probably the best coverage LB. I don't know if Whaley would draft someone from Temple in round 1, but I would be very happy if he was the pick.

  6. That sucks. Looks like another year of relying too much on Sammy's health.

If Corey Davis is there and we don't take him, then that will end the BPA debate-we are a team that drafts for need- the only sure way to screw up a franchise.

Corey is is going to be a special nfl player. The next A.J. or Julio. Two guys that get their teams to the playoffs almost every year.

Davis is not in that category. Those guys were can't miss prospects throughout the entire draft process. They also played in the SEC against top competition. Davis plays in a weak conference and has injury concerns, he is a good player but may be a reach at 10.

  7. Mock if you must but on the few snaps he got last year, Humber played WILB pretty well.

I'd rather add a starter and keep him in reserve but it's no secret that I like the guy.

I agree he did play well last year in his limited snaps. I could live with him as a starter. There is no doubt that position at least needs competition though.

Or maybe he's trying to let Zach Brown know we have a starting spot open for him if he wants to re-sign here. Yet with Preston being his main supporter to re-signing here it might prove difficult.

That is very possible as well.

  8.

.....2 cents for what it's worth....sign Chase Daniel and let him compete for starting job (why not? plenty of TT detractors here).....trade down as deep as possibly looking for an extra 1st in 2018 (maybe a 2017 2nd?)....I don 't get to see college ball, but many here seem to say the 2018 QB class is far superior......use a 2nd in 2017 to draft a QB, so you'd go into camp with TT, Daniel, draft pick and Cardale Whatchamacallit (based on his prolific collegiate career, Rome was built sooner than grooming this guy).....

I actually really like Tyrod. He is the perfect bridge Qb with the new contract. I would keep Tyrod for the next couple years, I think you can build a competitive playoff team with him as the starter. He should continue to start until someone beats him out. I don't think I could go back to watching an EJ/Losman/Edwards type of QB. I would prefer to draft a guy this year so he has a chance to beat out Tyrod next season. The 2018 class is way over hyped right now, their grades will come down when they actually start being evaluated. Darnold seems to be the real deal, but he is going to go with the 1st pick (and no one is going to trade that pick away). If I was running the team I would go Watson in round 1 or Kizer/Mahomes in round 2 (and yes Mahome will be there in round 2, he is way overrated on this board).

  9. I think all signs are pointing to a QB in round 1 or 2. Tyrod is essentially on a 1 year bridge QB deal. I don't think Cardale has shown enough to be seen as a franchise QB. They have not brought a veteran backup QB in because they are going to bring in a developmental prospect. I think they pick a QB in round one and trade back in round 2 to acquire a 4th round and a 7th round pick.

  10. I wrote this in another post a bout Mahomes. This guy is the best QB in the draft bar none. He will be a pro bowler down the line. He is the closest thing to Aaron Rogers and Brett Farve there is. He makes un believable throws that are Acurate from weird angels and with bad foot work. This guy is the one you want. The NFL is not like college. You don't always get a lot of clean pockets and you don't always get to set up and throw on balance or get your feet set. I want a QB that can throw on the run or throw when his feet are not correct and people are in his face. This guy can do that in spades. Go watch him on YouTube you will see something extraordinary. Don't get fooled about the experts saying oh his foot work is bad, His back leg shakes, Blah, Blah, Blah. Watch Chargers Rivers, Watch GB Rogers these guys throw

at all angels, throw with in correct foot work and throw on the move across there body all the time. Who the Fu@k cares how they throw it. Does he complete the passes yes he does. Yes you will be required to do that in The NFL , good one's can pull it off. Well when I watch Mahomes that's what I see. So please just stop the nonsense. If we get this guy a great new Era in Bills football is about to begin. His statistics

mean nothing to me or what offense he played.

my eyes don't lie I see the next great on and he's there for the taking.

Let me ask all the detractors of him, how many times does a NFL QB go back and set up and not have to move off his spot. Most times QBs end up having to move and throw off there back foot or throw moving forward or rolling out. Playing QB in the NFL you don't have a lot of time. Go watch this kid play, watch him throw.

He is doing amazing stuff. Making throws from all sorrts or bad angles off his back foot, flat footed and on the run. Most of them right on the mark. I could care less about his satistics or how many TDs he's thrown. He has started a ton of games. This guy is a leader and he has a very strong arm. He can do things most QB's can only dream about. He is Farve, he is Rogers he has that gift. Keep wanting that perfect foot work WB that Perfect throwing motion QB.

I will take this guy over that guy 10 ways to Sunday every day of the week. If we are lucky to get this guy I be dancing in the street.

I take him with the first pick in the draft he is that good.

Here is Patrick Mahomes playing against the great LSU Tigers Defense from the SEC in his Bowl Game. Just some unbelievable plays by Mahomes. These are the type of players he will be playing against in the NFL. Maybe he will have some offensive linemen to protect him. LSU is chasing him all over the field and the kid is just making plays like a Farve or Rogers would. This guy is special you can just see it, feel it and sense it. These might be his most interesting high lights because of the stud defense LSU has. This is fun to watch. It's like watching Farve in his prime

    https://youtu.be/k4rGwPzAnbo

You can't teach what he does and how he makes those throws in any of his games or in that LSU game against future NFL defenders. Only guys like Farve and Rogers and a hand full of other QB's can do that. I don't care what anyone says. I said it when the Bills passed on Russell Wilson and I will say it right now.

You pass on this guy your making a big mistake. I can't wait for the John Gruden QB camp thing with Mahomes. Just like the Russell Wilson one. Man you could just tell that he was going to be special. Here it is for those who missed Russell Wilson with John Gruden how do you not draft this guy after watching this

    https://youtu.be/ON16iCklqLY

He has some talent, no doubt, but to say he will be a probowler is just silly. The guy is very raw, he still has to learn how to read a defence. He throws the ball a ton in that system, but probably only 3-4 throws translate to the NFL level. A lot of times he makes one read, if the player is not open he runs around and throws a dart, again he is not athletic enough to make that happen at the NFL level. He has to learn how to read a defence, use footwork (probably the worst I have seen on an NFL prospect), improve ball placement, and rely less on his legs. He has as talented an arm as you will see on a QB. There are still a lot of things that have to go right for that to happen. He does have a chance to be a probowler if everything goes right. He is a second round prospect and needs to sit for a couple years in my opinion. If we are going QB at 10 I want Watson.

  11. Apparently hewasn't happy with the role McD envisioned for him. Which was just sub packages, which is a good thing because they must be satisfied with what they got for the starting roles.

Remember guys, Preston looked great his rookie year in a 4-3 , in both the run and pass coverage. I'm sure the coaching staff

People will say Ragland is slow and can't cover at this level but I argue that he plays much faster than his 40 time and has terrific instincts, he can be a force and the coaches must like him in some role.

Finally Zo was re signed , so coaches must feel he's a better fit than Brown . They apparently discussed his role and look at him as a good fit out there.

Zach didn't look so hot in a 43 for the Titans. I'd love him as depth of course but he obviously isn't valued much in this scheme...

Ragland had a pretty solid 40 time, I think he was around 4.63. He is easily fast enough to cover. Foster ran a 4.7 at his pro day for comparison.

  12. I remember when we picked Ej, I was like the guy from FSU? I really thought we were going to pick Geno.

I don't think it mattered who they picked. There was no right answer, all the QBs were career backups at best. EJ had the arm and intangibles (which gave him a small chance of working out), he never had the instincts or the accuracy to be a consistent NFL Qb.

  13.

I wish I could believe it buddy....but after all those years, I can't help to remind myself that unfortunately, Belichick always has a plan.....from the outside , it sometimes looks like he's losing his mind ( getting of Collins was a shock ! ) but it works more often than not.....

I agree, they are going to be the favourite to win the Super Bowl this year (by a large margin). I hope I get to see us win an AFCE division once before Brady retires.

  14.

Yeah...a UDFA CB will blow up the 17 years of domination......they got rid of Jones, Collins, Milloy, Revis, Moss, Wilfork etc...but is this the move that will doom them....

Well they will obviously still be a good team. I just think Gilmore will be a downgrade on their defence. Butler played great for them last year. Plus that contract is brutal.

  15. Reddick is awesome. I would be fine with him at 10, a trade down scenario would be even better. He might be the most versatile defender in the class. He has a great dip when pass rushing, covered great at the senior bowl, has instincts (TFL machine), and great speed.

    2015 12.5 TFL 5.0 sacks

    2016 22.5 TFL 10.5 sacks

That is a lot of impact plays.
