No needs on the roster? That's a rosy outlook. TE is set. WR is severely undermanned. RB is ok, QB is above average, OL IS THIN. DL isn't great, LB is ok, CB is good but lacks depth, safety is a tire fire.
Despite the reactions, you're not wrong.
Some are happy just getting to the playoffs or winning the division. Then there are those of us who want nothing less than to win the Super Bowl.

Yep. He’s a victim. Poor guy. There's been a shift in recent years on safety salaries. He just missed the boat.
Now he knows how RBs feel.

I was expecring about 350-450 yards and less than 50 receptions.
A pleasant surprise, the amount of usage he got.
I expect 80+ receptions and around 1,000 yards this season.

What it would take to get the 4th pick I’m guessing:
28, 60, 2025 1st, 2nd + 2026 2nd or Diggs
I'd package Diggs for him. Not kidding.

They wouldn't have sniffed a Super Bowl without him.

Unironically, he might be, yes.
Rodgers has the regular season. Zero question.
Aikman was absolutely clutch in the postseason and played much better in the postseason than his mediocre regular seasons.
Hard to find a great stat to encapsulate this via different eras, but Rodgers passer rating dropped 2 points from regular season to postseason play.
Aikman’s went up by 7.
I kinda lean towards Aikman being an Eli type QB who got hot but I think there’s an argument there.
Aikman is certainly far better than a lot of guys in his era, including Kelly.
I remember the first time I went back, as an adult, and looked at Aikman's stats and I thought, "That can't be right."
It's one of those things where "you had to be there."
I remember Aikman making all of the important throws at all of the important times. I hated him like I hated Brady.

Pretty sure Allen has the most playoff TDs/game and lowest playoff INT% in NFL history
so no he literally cannot be better
You know what will make the difference?
A defensive tackle at pick #28 in April.

Allen was better than Mahomes last year
Aaron Rodgers was better than Brady many years.

This is why they play the games. We'll see, won't we.

Watch game film on him. He can get separation and break away.
That's just it. The film speaks for itself.
Harrison Jr, seemingly, can do it all.

If my kid was a consensus top 5 pick, I would advise him to do the same.
What's the point?

I’m just saying but that’s Gabe Davis #s.
Correct, but add in the hopeful production of Curtis Samuel and improved chemistry with Kincaid as well. Gabe Davis numbers from rookie start to look damn good then.

I don’t think anything is to be honest, not at 28.
One of these top flight wideouts with Josh and Diggs and Kincaid drawing attention... I'm leaning toward an immediate impact.
700+ yards. 8-12 TDs.
Lofty expectations, I know.

Oliver and Rousseau. Not bad. 4 play every snap. 3-4 others historically play 40% of the snaps in our defense.
They have drafted 1 edge and 1 DT.
I don't care what they've drafted in the past. I suggest "Wizard" Beane get to work and start filling these holes now.
You have an elite QB, that needs the best talent possible around him to succeed. Anything less is selling this franchise short.
A DT at #28 is not putting this team in the Super Bowl next year.

Another year gone by and people are still advocating for drafting defensive line in the 1st.
Just wow.

I'm a fan.

We're lucky that he's unlikely to stay healthy throughout the year.
On paper, Jersey is fielding a good team.

His legs look like tooth picks! Route running looks good though.
It's the ankle socks. Chad Johnson, Marvin Harrison, Issac Bruce, etc. were all slim/lean guys.

I got no comment on the tape, other than that a release at the college level ain't cuttin it in the NFL.
But if a man has the security to play football dressed like a Banana Slug, or like an unholy cross between a Persian Lime and a Banana Slug, he's all right by me.
Speaking of which, it's a pretty cool story of how the University of Santa Cruz chose the Banana Slug as their mascot.

Almost all he does is run vertical. In terms of what it takes in the NFL, you cant call him a good route runner. He just doesn't run enough of the route tree.
That's not accurate. Watch this in its entirety and tell me which route you don't see.

He drops the ball way too much, and that was on display at the combine. I also think he is way too skinny. To me, he is just a deep threat and I dont want that. I want a WR who can run the whole route tree. That was the issue with Davis.
But Troy runs the entire route tree and if what I've read is true, it was mostly a bad habit of him looking up field before he secured the ball. That's an easy fix.
Troy came in 8lbs heavier at his pro day, so perhaps he really was sick at the combine.
He was my original pick at WR and I would not, at all, be disappointed with this selection.
He has the potential to be the best of this class.

Whatever the case, Beane needs to target a Diggs replacement in round 1.
Anything else and I'm on the "Clean House" bandwagon. Both Beane and McDermott can kick rocks.
My gut says Mitchell is their guy.
Hip drop tackle officially banned

It's all fun and games until Josh has his ankle broken from a hip drop tackle.
It presents similar danger as a horse-collar tackle. It needed to banned.
