Insane take. Not really. With Josh at QB, Diggs is replaceable.
Expect Beane to shoot for Brian Thomas or one of the top 3

1) The problem is that he has played in only 24 of 67 potential regular season games in his NFL career.........and left a bunch of those injured, not to return.
Among the very best? IS he though? He had some exceptional ypc in Greg Roman's offense but we witnessed a fading Shady and journeymen Karlos and Gilleslee all feast with league high type ypc figures under Roman.
Personally, I think there is every reason to expect JK Dobbins to be washed after that myriad of injuries..........but even if you feel he's good to go you gotta' start by adjusting his ypc down about 20%. Look at Gus Edwards last year. Gus went from averaging over 5 yards per carry for his career under Roman to a sub-league-average 4.1.
Fair enough, but Dobbins is a 1-cut and go guy. 215lb-220lb RB that with 4.3 speed.
The talent is real.

People and their RB draft crushes. Dude is always hurt.
The problem is, when he isn't hurt he's among the very best in football.
Pacheco and Dobbins is a worrisome 1-2.

the dude is in the league. it's going to be warshed over real quick. fall guys in place, etc. anyone thinking the guy gets any real punishment from law enforcement is silly. he's not like us - he is protected.
he probably won't even get penalized for the league.
You know damn well team and/or league punishment is coming, especially on the heels of Britt Reid.

Is it too soon for this?
Haha! I've never seen that.
Think of the clarity he had in that moment to know, "I'm done and can't do this anymore."
People give him ish for it, but that had to be a profound and powerful moment to have hit a player of his caliber like that.

You know what will help him get that elusive Super Bowl ring?
A defensive end at #28 on April 25th. That's what I've been told. 😒

Breece hall wasn't even a first round pick... And I certainly wouldn't draft him in the first
And the rest of the league didn't
He's more of an impact player than Elam.
12 hours ago, BullBuchanan said:metcalf was a 64th pick. Hall was 36th. Neither one went in the first round. I don't think folks here adamant against taking a WR in the 2nd.
Also, neither one has been a factor in making their team a contender, so despite being very good players, not sure it's a great argument for us to overinvest in one of them.Better draft a QB then, because there were multiple WRs open on that drive if that's your argument.
Who would you rather have, Metcalf and Hall or Glenn and Elam?

So, if the Bills are there at 28 and they have the option of taking a player with a 1st round grade versus taking a 2nd round graded receiver, you want them to pass on the higher rated players and reach for a 2nd round talent?
I honestly think some of you don't understand how the draft works. You make a draft board. You grade players. You draft according to your board. You don't get enamored with any one player or even any one position, because there are a billion scenarios and it might not fall the way you think, especially when you are at 28.
There will be a 1st round grade WR there at 28, unless a bunch of trade-ups happen.
If the Bills pass on one of these guys for a player on defense heads need to roll.
I'm sick of the bs. No excuses.
7 hours ago, Matt_In_NH said:That is a spectacularly awful approach
No it isn't. The Bills need to come away with one of the top 5-6 WRs in the 1st round.
I really don't care if a bunch of "let's draft defense again" fans agree with me or not.
I was right about DK, I was right about Breece. I'm right now.

The WR pool is loaded this year. 1st round talent will fall into the 2nd round…guys like Laggette, Coleman and Tez Walker will be available in the 2nd round.
Not at pick #60 and the Bills really need those mid round picks if you're thinking about a trade up scenario.

My guess is that KJ Hamler will be the return guy.
He has game-breaking speed, but likely won't see the field much. I'd like for them to utilize that speed somehwere.

Diggs was selected in the fifth round with the 146th overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2015 NFL draft so I do not see why it is NECESSARY to replace him with a first round pick. EASIER? Maybe but there are a number of busts in every round. Some college WRs cannot adjust to NFL Diggs, a 5th round pick, did better than many picks before him.
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DiggSt00.htm
More important that they pick the right player and get him in sync with Josh.
And Tom Brady was a 6th round pick. No point in taking 1st round QBs either, I guess?

The Bills will take a WR in round 1. Take that ish to the bank.
They can't afford to wait until pick #60 for their eventual Diggs replacement.

The Chiefs haven't drafted a 1st Round WR for Mahomes since they added him. I guess they're a poor team to emulate?
The Bills aren't the Chiefs.
They should be a building a team that best suits Josh Allen, not Patrick Mahomes.

I have no doubt about JK's talent. It's just a shame that his body is failing him.
Dude was averaging 5.8ypc up until this last injury.

Why were young children in this guy's care?

You know you can do this with anyone right?
Adonai Mitchell:
- Intensity can fluctuate from game to game.
- Allows smaller players into his space to contest catches.
- Cradle-catcher who fights football when catching with hands.
- Needs to keep routes on time with better efficiency and finish.
- Doesn’t play with aggression or sustain when asked to run block.
🤨 I don't see that at all.
Is that a serious knock on him?

There's no need for that. A Brian Thomas/Adonai Mitchell/Troy Franklin may end up being the best of this class.
I don't believe there's a huge gap between any of these guys.

Hopefully he had a "career ending injury" policy in place.
He may have a bright future in coaching.

For the record, I like the move. Enough is enough.
Has this new era of WRs shown you all nothing? Do you realize the kind of numbers a Garrett Wilson or Chris Olave would be putting up with Josh Allen at QB?
I'm a Brandon Beane fan. He gets it.
