  1. Miami was a joke on defense last season
  2. Oh, look...another response that completely avoids what was actually said and reverts back to bringing up a player that has absolutely ZERO bearing in this at all. Must be JM2009. Get better at posting, bud.
  3. In case you missed it (and it appears that you did)... I was inferring that nearly any QB could throw a deep ball in Watkins general direction and he'll come down with them alot (see KC game). Watkins makes Taylor look good when he's catching those deep balls. When he's not and the passing game isn't good, posters like you shift blame to everyone else besides the QB. Of course it's not TT. The good QB's can still function at a fairly high level with guys missing. A guy like Taylor sinks when he is missing any one of his playmakers. The excuses run rampant anytime Shady or Watkins misses time. I'm sure at least one of those guys will each miss some time this upcoming season, and posters like yourself will cry about it cause Taylor will fail to get the job done again. It's weak, and at some point you have to get the job done regardless of who steps on the field.
  4. I mostly agree, but you do need to have a passing game that is capable when it matters most...late in games, and when down in the second half of games. We haven't had that, and it's fine if you wanna claim that it will change, but I remain skeptical. Based off of what I've seen from Taylor... I believe his limitations and struggles are his own and had less to do with the OC and his system, and more to do with the guy under center. A more conclusive answer will surely be had in 2017.
  5. You've already established yourself as a guy who has a problem with other's opinions...especially in regards to the QB. It's going to be somewhat difficult to pretend that guy doesn't exist in future discussions. Maybe you should have had this epiphany a long time ago.
  6. You forgot to add they work well together when Tyrod throws deep. And really anyone will be successful if they are taking deep shots to a phenominal WR in Watkins. Besides that...there is little to no chemistry, and their connection is not very strong.
  7. Ah, yes...now we throw in the caveat about the run first offense. It's a passing league. If Tyrod was any good...we would have thrown more. Only the Bills had more rush TD's than pass. His scoring may put him in the midrange of QB's, but I think he's one of the worst due to his inability to make reads, anticipate, or make difficult throws. He also has poor awareness and pocket presence. That's why I have him ranked in the 25-26 range.
  8. You are quite silly if you believe such a thing. It's the internet, bud. You are fighting tooth and nail over semantics. The fact is you got upset over me saying Tyrod doesn't score alot of points, and he really doesn't. Was my wording a bit exaggerated? Sure. The point in general is still valid, though.
  9. I like Watkins, but he's been hurt and underutilized when he does play. Sorry I don't worship all Bills like you do. They are all clearly amazing, as you can tell with our 17 year playoff drought.
  10. I've never watched Taylor and thought to myself that this guy is a passer. He always to me seemed to be a gimmick QB that looks to make plays rather then read the field and make the correct throw. It's either try to make a play or check down...there is no real middle ground. Standing in the pocket and making tough throws is simply something TT does not be able to appear very capable of. Taylor is on borrowed time if the GM is looking for a true pocket passer.
  11. No doubt that the Taylor to Watkins deep ball connection is dangerous, but what else is there? Tyrod can't consistantly get the ball to Watkins, and Watkins has trouble staying healthy. I'd trade both of these guys and their flashes of talent for lesser but more consistent and durable players. These two are too hit a miss for my taste.
  12. I try not to get too wrapped up when dealing with awful posters that only look to use straw man arguments to try and discredit a legit assertion based upon plenty of evidence that supports it, so pardon me if I come off that way... I really just don't care that much about posters who fail to counter me with anything of substance. You have accomplished nothing here, and you're inability to produce anything to counter my original assertion is proof of you and the BS and rumor you are apparently against. At least you have you're incredible grasp of the English language to hang your hat on... Tyrod had 23 TD's in 15 games. In order to even make a legitimate assertion that Tyrod would get two TD's in a game, you would surely start with providing me evidence that he scores that much on a per game basis, or so you would think. Unfortunately, he was seven TD's shy of such an average. Not only does this lend credence to my original stance that Tyrod doesn't produce alot of points, but it also makes you're claim that Tyrod would definitely score two TD's in that game look completely unfounded and rather foolish TBH.
  13. Really? And how do you know this? You stated you had a problem spouting BS as fact, but you are completely BS'ing here as you have no clue what would have happened in that game. What you believe is not fact, and this apparently bothers you unless it's you...in that case, you just ignore reality and keep on pounding you're opinion and touting it as fact. Good stuff...thanks for the laugh!
  14. I thought you had a problem with spewing BS as fact? The fact that you now claim that Tyrod would have had as many points as half or more completely undoes any chance you had of your post holding any weight.
  15. Well it depends on what you consider most QB's. It's fair to say more than half is near most IMO, I can pat you on the back and say my wording of much less was probably not the best choice of words if that helps you any. And I still don't think you proved anything. Tyrod is not good, and he doesn't put up alot of points.
  16. Please tell me again how Dennison was McDermott's first choice and how McDermott would've made McCoy OC if he really wanted him. Seems like at least I have information that supports my "BS" or "Rumor". What you have is complete nonsense with nothing to support it. You cannot teach what you yourself has not learned, grasshopper.
  17. How far away was he from the bottom? How about the guys that played less than him below him? It works both ways. Twist the argument whichever way you'd like...it matters little to me. Bottom line is that Taylor himself isn't the producer that many like to paint him as here, and you've done nothing to prove otherwise.
  18. You can't win when the guy was in the bottom half of QB's in points scored, sorry.
  19. How many guys were interviewed or rumored to be targets of McDermott before we even heard Dennison's name? Greg Olsen, Mike McCoy, Norv Turner, Ken Dorsey, Alex Van Pelt. That's five I came up with from facts that were reported. All we can believe is what's reported and stated unless it comes straight from the source. Going off of that...what I stated sure makes a whole lotta sense. And as far as folks trying to sell something...you are trying to sell doubt on something that has very little room to do so. You can keep the door cracked open because of a technicality if you like, but it's simply a desperation tactic to refute something you don't like...probably because you have a problem with me since you stooped to the level of insulting me. And FTR...I didn't say McCoy was definitely his first choice. Only that Dennison wasn't, and there's a bunch of evidence supporting my conclusion. Also, to suggest that McDermott would've gotten McCoy if he wanted sounds like some real made up opinion based off exactly nothing. Maybe he told him Tyrod would be the QB next season. That would cause plenty of OC's to decline an offer to come to Buffalo. One more thing...I will continue to post, and I hope it bothers you immensely every time since you decided to take things to that level. So more than half put up more TD's? You really got me there, lol.
  20. So putting together all the information and coming to an obvious conclusion is me buying a rumor? Let me ask you...what evidence do you offer that Dennison was the first choice? You have none. You just want to dispute something that was very apparent because there isn't 100% proof, which is ridiculous since we know how coaches operate. Just like the Taylor wasn't going to be cut if he didn't take a pay cut crowd. Sure, we don't have irrefutable evidence that he would have, but based on everything we heard and how Taylor waited till his agent spoke to team's at the combine, it clearly appears that this was the case, yet those who reject this cling to the same thing as you are here. When you can offer up something that disputes my assertion, then I'll consider responding again.
  21. What was that team's calling card? It sure wasn't the offense. And we know McDermott wanted other OC's because it was reported that he was looking to add guys like McCoy as OC. Only after those guys took other jobs did Dennison come into the picture. Ignoring facts will not work here. I certainly have plenty of evidence that Dennison was not his first choice.
  22. Ball security and not taking chances is good at times. Other times it hurts the offense. I think he hurt the passing offense last season. Points? Tyrod put up much less points than most other QB's. Fundamentals for a QB: Accuracy, vision, pocket presence, mechanics, anticipation. Tyrod struggles in all these areas.
  23. I also find it funny that Dennison is so highly thought of by the Taylor crowd. I think if it wasn't for the fact that he has ties to Tyrod, nobody would be all that excited. He also wasn't McDermotts first or even second choice. He was targeting other guys...he settled for this guy just like he settled for Tyrod. Dennison may think he can do something with Tyrod. He may also just be enamoured with his physical abilities and won't be able to get much more out of him than the other coaches. I think these two are tied together and are on a year to year basis. And the hook could come before seasons end if Taylor doesn't show major improvements IMHO
  24. Final step? He has failed to master the fundamentals six seasons going into his seventh. You're belief is based off of blind faith. What we've seen suggests he's gotten just about all hr can out of himself. The whole key to your post was the dynamic player line. That's great, but he's a QB. You need a guy that can consistently deliver the football...especially late in games where passing is the way to win.
  25. Now if only his QB can mature into a true passer...
