  1. https://www.nfl.com/combine/tracker/live-results/ This is the NFL.com combine tracker. It allows you to sort by position and by event to see how everyone scored. Also, you can now pay NFL+ to watch the combine… thank$ Goodell, you $ure are a $well guy. 🙄
  2. The best “pick” is likely to trade back a little bit so we can get a few extra selections. In a trade-back scenario, I’m looking at Steve Avila or John Michael-Schmitz in the early to mid 2nd round. Avila has experience at G and C, which is very much in the mold of what our staff likes. JMS is a beast and would be a great addition to the line - having him at G now to take over next year at C would be fine as I don’t think we bring Morse back once his contract ends. From there? Your guess is as good as mine. I think Rice is a day 2 pick personally but not sure he’s there at 59. I also don’t think he’s as valuable as either of the above options to be taken ahead of them. He *might* be at 59, the other two (barring a garbage combine) will definitely *not* be there at 59. If we are trading back I think it’s for one of these guys. I’m not sure how I feel about Tank Dell from Houston. He’s a day 2 guy I think who may also be an option at 59. I feel like he’s a guy who SHOULD be taken way earlier than some of his counterparts but his name isn’t coming across as many headlines. Lots of love for Hyatt and Rice lately while, to me, Dell is as good as they are. He’s a weapon for sure. I also like Josh Downs a lot but he’s 100% a slot guy and we have more than enough of them. Great player, bad fit. Voorhis would be a good G to add day 3. He was initially a 5th round projection, I doubt he makes it past the 4th. Could work himself into the late 3rd with an outstanding combine I think. Back to round 1… I think if someone like Zay Flowers falls you have to really consider him before taking calls to move back. Paris Johnson and Skoronski go here as well but I can’t imagine either of them not being at top-20 pick. Hyatt is interesting but there’s a lot of hype moving him up the boards and I’m not sure he’s worth pick 27 (don’t hate me, I know it’s a bad take)
  3. I figured a centralized place for the combine news would probably be a good idea as we start seeing player evaluations begin. Here is a breakdown of the Combine schedule for the remainder of this week: March 2 (3 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET): DL, LB March 3 (3 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET): DB, PK/ST March 4 (1 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET): QB, WR, TE March 5 (1 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET): OL, RB The combine takes place at its usual stomping grounds of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, and it should hopefully be an exciting week of coverage. Prepare for your early mock drafts to be blown to bits, and may all our picks be future HOF’ers.
  4. Maybe he was worried about being irresponsible with it? How many athletes have we seen over the years amass a fortune and mismanage their finances? Maybe he was determined to not let that be him. Not sure I would have gone that far, but I can understand the viewpoint
  5. I’m all for trading back and getting a few extra picks - provided we address IOL and WR within the first 3 rounds. I’m high on Campbell and think if he was there in the 2nd you can’t pass him up. I would be ok with any of the following playing out: 1st round/early 2nd: IOL/WR 2nd round: Campbell or possibly Simpson if they last that long. If not, IOL/WR 3rd round: Drew Sanders, Dorian Williams, or Ivan Pace. One of these guys should be there for us. If we got Campbell or Simpson in round 2, we go IOL/WR. 4th: IOL - probably someone like Voorhis for the IOL if he even lasts that long From here, depending on the trade back and/or whatever other picks we have, WR and S get addressed, and a late round flyer on a running back like KC did to see if we can find some gold.
  6. Media needs headlines until the combine. This is a Nothingburger.
  7. I’d love him back, and maybe the prospect of playing with JA would be appealing, but he didn’t seem interested in signing with us after his first run. Maybe it was the staff, or QB, or Buffalo itself, but I’d be willing to take him in at a team-friendly deal. If I remember he was very well-liked while here. Would be a nice fit if Beas decides to call it a career again. …that being said, WR in rounds 1-3 please.
  8. My guess is a trade back to the early 2nd, looking at someone alike Avila or Schmitz. Avila has played both G and C, and Schmitz fits the McDermott personality/character prototype. Both would be welcome additions to the line and would be day 1 starters. If Flowers somehow falls to 27 it’s hard to pass on him. There’s still good G/C depth in the day 2 and 3 picks, but WR gets scarce after round 2 in my opinion. That being said, if we keep Josh standing he’s gonna make stars out of whoever he throws to, so WR is a need but not as much as IOL
  9. There must be some mistake - I heard he was a star who had been wasted on our depth chart…
  10. Juju is the class clown who did nothing in the group project but got an A because all the other kids did his job for him 😂
  11. I AM OUTRAGED! …are we outraged? Oh, and just to set the record straight, McD is known to be an extremely safe, low risk approach kinda guy. You really think he’d risk the health of the one guy who can keep his job here indefinitely if he knew an injury was going to possibly jeopardize his career? Cmon, man.
  12. Maybe if they professionally framed it they’d have more luck 😂
  13. Dabes earned it. I could argue Siriani but I’m happy for coach to get his due. I wish him a ton of success unless it’s against us
  14. Aphasia is, more than anything, cruel. Bruce Willis retired due to it. To be able to mostly understand and WANT to communicate but not be able to physically is so heartbreaking. Add this to the laundry list of tribulations the team endured… of course I’m disappointed we aren’t playing this weekend, but at some point enough is enough. More than anything I hope the city/team/players get to next year with some time to put all the craziness of 2022 behind them. Kim, I wish you the best and hope you continue to recover. Thank you for all you’ve done and continue to do for this team.
  15. 2021. He came into form late in the season and looked unstoppable in the playoffs. Had the thing that shall not be referenced not happened, I truly feel he’d have smoked the Bengals and likely the Rams. It was *seconds* away. I do think he gets the job done eventually. I just feel like that would have been such an unbelievable run had things ended differently.
  16. 9ers or Cowboys (because Jurrah would campaign for it)
  17. We got the opener in 2022. I think you’d be more likely to see KC vs Cinci to start things off
  18. Well, the Bengals may be looking for a new RB1
  19. Man the loudmouths on the Bengals sure do make it easy to cheer against them. He and Apple ran their mouths an awful lot. Mixon is still a scumbag and Apple is a baby who can’t take it when it’s served back to him.
  20. To those saying you can’t count Diggs because he wasn’t a draft pick: I disagree - we spent draft capital on a veteran WR and it was a calculated risk to go that route and pay a larger contract vs risking for a rookie who may/may not be equivalent. Again, no guarantee JJ was going to be there for us has we held still, and Diggs veteran presence was also worth more to Josh than a rookie who was going to have to learn on the fly. That being said, here’s my grading: Diggs : Said it all above. A+ move getting a known star in Stef. Draft capital was appropriate for the player, and he’s been one of the best in the league since getting here. AJE : C- / D+ : it’s not that he is bad, but he was drafted too early for the amount we use him. I personally err more on the C- camp, but the argument can be made. It also seemed like the team immediately thought they needed more help at the D-line and sought to upgrade the next draft. Maybe it was his size and he couldn’t add appropriately, but regardless this pick was a miss. Moss : C- : his first year pre-injury he appeared to be as good/better than Singletary. He got hurt in the playoffs (ironically vs the Colts). He had 481 / 4td rushing, and 14 catches for 95 yards and another TD year one as a backup. Decent numbers for a #2. I don’t think he came back the same post-injury, and I don’t think a backup RB should be your pick in the 3rd round. If he was drafted to take over for Singletary as the starter, it’s an even worse pick. Davis : B+. He’s been a great 4th round pick for us, and that can’t be understated. I know he had drop issues this year, but his first two he was fantastic, especially in the post-season. He was making ridiculous sideline catches in 2020. 2021 was the clinic vs KC. 2022 he was a vital piece vs Miami. He was 15th in TD’s this year, and his yards were still 836 (granted, 98 came on one play). That’s low #2 / high #3 numbers. Getting that production in the 4th is a great find. Let’s not use this one year (his first as #2 and first with Dorsey) to crucify him. He needs to be better, but he is not terrible by any metric for when he was drafted. Fromm : D. I like taking a later flyer on a decent QB. Fromm just wasn’t that guy. I think if we wanted a QB we should have waited but you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take I guess. Bass : A+. He’s easily a top-10 kicker, well worth the draft capital in the 6th, and minus his first 2 games (when everyone was panicking) he has been solid. Makes nearly every kick he’s supposed to, and when he misses it’s rare and usually understandable why he didn’t. Stud. Hodgins : C-. This is harder to be fair on because he was hurt all of year one, year 2 we were loaded at WR and couldn’t fairly evaluate him, and year 3 we mismanaged that situation and he wound up signing with Daboll and the Giants who were all but depleted at the position and needed someone familiar with the system. He wound up taking advantage of his opportunity and has at least some role over there. I would say he was a good pick in the 6th if we had a real opportunity to test him, but it is what it is. Jackson : B+A player in the 7th making significant contributions to the team, especially after our best player went down in 2021 is significant. He is a great contributor to the team and had zero expectations to even make the team at his pick. I’d push it and say he is A- given how he has done with all that was asked of him, but I’d reserve that for if he was a game-changer. He’s very good, especially for a 7th round guy. Overall I’d say the draft is a B… MAYBE B+ at most. Significant starters still on the team, but the day 2 picks were not strong enough contributors to make this an amazing draft. It’s good, maybe very good, but that’s the truth of the matter.
  21. I agree JJ is obviously amazing but we had no way of knowing he would be there at 24. Honestly the Eagles SHOULD have taken him, and maybe the likelihood of JJ being gone was part of the decision to get Diggs. Honestly that’s what Josh needed - it may be one of the most balanced trades in NFL history. JJ gets a QB with some experience to bring him into the league nicely, Josh gets a WR who knows the game and will be a good mentor and reliable anchor for a 2nd year QB. the first on Diggs got you a guaranteed baller, as opposed to the chance at a guy who had a chance (though likely) to be great.
  22. Frank had top-10 offenses for many of his years with recycled QBs: Year. Rank. PPG. 2018 – 5th – 27.1 (Luck) 2019 – 16th – 22.6 (Brissett) 2020 – 9th – 28.2 (Rivers) 2021 – 9th – 26.5 (Wentz) 2022 – 30th – 16.1 (Ryan) he did a decent amount with admittedly very little at QB. Hopefully he can get his guy and find some success down there
  23. I remember this person but not which board it happened on. Didn’t he always have a signature like “Peace and Love everybody ✌️” at the end of his posts?
