Oh no! Please don’t go, I’d hate for the thread to lose a wordsmith such as yourself.

Do you always call fellow Bills fans names or is this a new thing you’re trying out? I feel like if this conversation was in person you wouldn’t feel so empowered to call anyone names.

Yeah you clearly don't know me buddy

I feel like that’s the second time you’ve posted that now. Anything else to add, or did you just want to write it out again?

And again, who’s to say he’d be less effective? What if, and this is a big what if, but what if he was MORE effective?!

Lol you sound stupid. You new to football? Smh this is where I make my exit. I don't debate with fools.

Does it make more sense to try and win a Super Bowl with AJ Klein at the position?

I don't believe in taking a guy whose shown to be one of the best in the league in his position and moving him where he is less effective. Now you got sub par LB play across the board. Doesn't make sense.

This:  https://www.timesunion.com/sports/article/albany-empire-miss-payroll-suspend-top-players-18000358.php#:~:text=The Empire organization has not,he has left the team.

A missed payday, several suspensions and a misdemeanor charge has clouded the immediate future of the Albany Empire, the city’s arena football team.

The Empire organization has not paid players or coaches since April 21, according to one of the team’s top players. Coach Damon Ware confirmed the lack of payment and said Monday that he has left the team.

Ware, along with wide receiver Darius Prince, quarterback Sam Castronova, lineman Brandon Sesay, defensive back Dwayne Hollis, linebacker Nick Haag and lineman Melvin Hollins were among the Empire personnel who did not receive room keys for the team’s Albany Holiday Inn hotel. The acting team president said the players have been suspended due to an incident on the bus returning from their weekend game in North Carolina.

The team is supposed to be paid the Friday following each week’s game; no one received direct deposits on April 28 ahead of Sunday’s game, and the team played the Carolina Cobras in Greensboro, N.C., without pay, one player said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Alberony Denis, the Empire’s acting president, said the lack of payment was due to issues with the payroll processor, which had put a hold due to a problem created when former team owner Mike Kwarta and most of the former front office left following Kwarta’s sale of his ownership stake to former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown, who now owns 95 percent of the team.

The team has paid the processor, Denis said, and the players were told they would be paid Monday afternoon.

Brown, whose career has been marred by controversy, joined the team as co-owner in March with father Eddie Brown, a former Albany Firebirds player, coming onboard as vice president of operations.

Can't help but wonder if their lack of willingness to pay out was more due to the departure, or, who they had to primarily deal with going forward. AB is known for not paying bills on time and now that he's been out the league 😳 As an entrepreneur your reputation certainly precedes you. Im in major sports business circles and NOBODY wants to do any sort of business with AB. He made his bed...

What I don’t think makes sense is to judge him against the production that an 8 year vet WR put up.

Isaiah McKenzie was used in the Beasley role last year. He only saw 65 targets, despite Crowder going down for the year, and our other rookie slot WR barely playing.

It took Cole Beasley himself 4 years in the league to see greater than 60 targets.

Those are two undrafted/late round pick guys. I was comparing opportunity potential and not talent level. McKenzie would have gotten many more targets if he produced better.

I peg Kincaid to get around 80 targets his rookie year.

With Kincaid as OUR first round TE, I thought it would be useful to draw a historic comparison with the production that other first round TE's have made their rookie seasons.

    Kyle Pitts - 68 rec 1026 yards 1 TD

    TJ Hockenson - 32 rec 367 yards 2 TD

Noah Fant 40 rec 562 yards 3 TD

Hayden Hurst 13 rec 163 yards 1 TD

OJ Howard 26 rec 432 yards 6 TD

Evan Engram 64 rec 722 yards 6 TD

David Njoku 32 rec 386 yards 4 TD

Eric Ebron 25 rec 248 yards 1 TD

Tyler Eifert 39 rec 445 yards 2 TD

At first glance, woof. Obviously the 2 notable productive TE's, Engram and Pitts stand out.  But both were heavily targeted, 115 for Engram and 110 for Pitts. When looking at the Bills offense, Knox (who will likely remain TE1) has averaged ~57 targets per year.  Assuming Diggs/Davis/Knox are receiving the lion's share of targets again (which they should be), what do you all think is a reasonable expectation for the rookie next year?

I would be pleasantly surprised with a 40 catch 400 yard couple TD season.  I am expecting closer to 30-300.

Obviously rooting for him to be Travis Kelce/Mark Andrews/George Kittle born again as a rookie. But the history of the position doesn't support that being the case.

They discussed your thread on the NYup SHOUT Bills podcast almost exactly 30 minutes in.

They said your argument doesn’t work in this case.

  7. The chances are pretty high that whoever they were going to pick at 205 they will still pick at 215. If that is or is not the case we will likely never know.

I can't take issue with this trade just yet. One of these players need to turn into at least solid depth guy in the next two years tho. Don't just make moves to make moves and that's not what I'm accusing Beane of doing, but what his actions are saying here is that there is a nice pool of talent that he wants more cracks at. Unless you produce results, all these moves just look plain stupid.

Yes, the difference in value was 40 pts, our 4th rounder was worth 42 pts. We wanted a specific player, the team before us was long attached to the player. We made a move and drafted the player we wanted. Why don't you just add more instructions to this poll and tell everyone to vote not. Or better yet, just remove the option to vote yes. The question is valid, your attempt to get everyone to agree with you is not great.

Ok cool so we are on the same page. Don't try to categorize my post as anti trade cause it's not plus my vote is public.

Pay better attention. The answer to this was everywhere - even casually mentioned in many articles

Ok well I agree with it so what must I pay better attention to? I'm just getting folks on record now cause the whole trade up thing is a very polarizing topic.

  10. Wow ok so after 20 minutes it has become CLEAR it's not even close and that Bills Mafia feels Beane was completely justified by the move up this year. I created this poll because last year I felt it was purely "getting antsy"  and was unnecessary for Bean to trade away assets for Elam. I also with the camp that this year, he ABSOLUTELY was warranted and wasnt "seeing ghosts" on this trade and made the absolutely beast mode chess move. Of course how Kincaid pans out will ultimately judge this decision, but I definitely wanted to capture the overall feelings of the mafia during the immediate aftermath.

This is where I'm at. If he's a good player, beane did good. If he's a bad player, Beane did bad.

But if you ask me today and you need an answer now, I say: "I don't know". Perhaps a "maybe".

Guys, hindsight is 20/20 for any such move. Im asking you to plant a flag on the decision RIGHT NOW!

  12. They would be CRAZY to take on this sort of risk. The way teams watch tape on younger prospects, they should watch all the tape available on guys like this. Watching the tape of his off field antics would assure ANY team in the league taking a hard pass on this goof. AB is a certified clown and nowhere near trustworthy, nor is he loyal. If any team takes the risk on signing him they are totally deserving of what they get!

  13. Ok so Im like many of us Bills Mafians. I HATE the thought that we traded up unnecessarily for a pick Beane decided to make in earlier drafts. Welp here we are again, another draft, another trade up in the first. Some of Beane's previous trade ups were understandable while many others were highly questionable. FOR THIS SPECIFIC TRADE UP, do you feel Beane was completely justified? Even if you believe the Cowboys would have indeed selected Kincaid and for us to get him, trading up was necessary. If you dont feel the pick was worth the sacrifice, STILL VOTE NO. So my polling question here is, DO YOU FEEL THE TRADE UP IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE 2023 DRAFT WAS WORTH IT? Put your current opinion on the matter on the record RIGHT NOW!

I’ve been buying Bills jerseys from China for years and they’ve been excellent quality for a fraction of the official NFL jerseys.

And it’s not a case of not being able to afford an official jersey; it’s a case of not wanting to unnecessarily spend over $100 on something I can get for $30-$40.

    No problems, here!

Would you consider this supporting your team? 🤔
