  1. Quick question. You know your business, and I respect your opinion. What is Tyrod's trade value? I ask because I'm intrigued by the idea of using a Tyrod /Siemian exchange to "jump" a round in the draft (e.g. trade Ty for a two and trade a three for Siemian) and applying the newfound cap space to obtain help at RT, S, LB, etc.

For what it's worth, my intuition is that you're on to something with Tyrod. I suspect the front office sees him as a viable "bridge"-type option, but not the preferred option for the next few years. If he was the guy, then it seems to me McDermott would have said as much at his recent media availability.

I have no knowledge one way or the other, but the Browns aren't doing a very good job hiding their interest. I think Buffalo could fetch up to a conditional second for Tyrod. I think as it relates to Siemian, I could see it being player for player, like Cyrus possibly. Just spit balling. I honestly think the Bills want Romo but will settle.

  2. Seems like the Siemian talk today might have made this relevant again. The idea of moving Tyrod and replacing him with Siemian has started to grow on me. The net gain in cap space could get us two to three more good players. It's worth considering.

I can't shake the feeling that Tyrod is going to Cleveland. Foles and Siemian would seem like a likely addition especially if Romo goes to Denver. Chase Daniels could also be a name to watch.

  3. I feel I have no option but to write to Mr and Mrs Pegs. I'm a 12 year season ticket holder and this is a hard slap

Yea, there's a growing sense that a firm house-cleaning is well beyond a need with the "tenured" people that preceded the Pegula's. Still, they approved the move, so they have to share the blowback. It's gonna be an interesting offseason.

  4. I don't know. We had the most active message board in the league. I've never heard of a message board dissuading a player from signing somewhere. If anything it shows how much we love the team and its players

I went against my better judgement a few weeks ago and posted a post about Tony Romo just based off some nonsense that was floating around and it turned into a barrel-fire. Never in a million years did I think there was tangibility in 1-Bills being reluctant to pursue someone due to the explosive fan reaction, but then there was a gigantic social media initiative launched a week ago that was a head-turner for anyone in the media who was finding themselves increasingly shut out. Kind of validated that there was truth to there bring concerns from the FO around fan/media reactions. By no means would I ever validate it or justify, quite the opposite (I'm a fan before anything else), but I gate that it came to fruition. The fans are well within their right to be frustrated. I just think this is just the beginning of their frustration this offseason.

Oh... and Mike Williams from Clemson is fat and slow.

  5. There are some days when I think the powers that be want to relocate this team. I suppose the first step in doing so is to kill the fanbase's loyalty. Today is one of those days

Oooooooor.... and this is just speculation, the social media push allows for better controlled management of fan reactions and opinions that may hinder players decisions of calling this place home. There's a reputation in Buffalo that our fan base is.... fickle. This seems to be phase 1 in repairing that, though you'll search long and hard for anyone in the media or fan base that agrees with the method in which it was carried out.

it was really too bad. i feel it was the work of two specific people who had their own specific vision of the way the board should have been.

    Agreed. It was absolutely terrible!
