  1. I like McKenzie, seems like a good dude. Just too inconsistent out there. One week he could go 10 grabs for 120 yards and two touchdowns then follow up with 2 catches for 11 yards with 3 drops, a fumble, and a 12 yard loss on a jet sweep or something.

I can't wait until he has a good game with whatever team he lands on. Half this board gonna be squealin' about it like they do with Isaiah frickin' Hodgins.

  2. Oh dear jesus god no... Not all world mega star Parris Campbell?? What?! Preposterous!

Pardon me while I ring my butler Doofius to bring forth the punching pillow for I must free this unyielding rage inside of me! The audacity of these dirty Giants! How dare they!

Campbell and God of the Receivers himself Isaiah Hodgins on the same team?? Oh no, oh I'm going to have a hernia!

This can't be real! Someone wake me up. Brian Daboll why are you so much better than the Bills at everything in the history of ever?!

All Bills players, coaches, staff members, staff members family, and anyone remotely adjacent to the Bills organization is to be terminated immediately for this egregious, unforgivable betrayal.

Man I really can't stand some of the takes around here sometimes.

I keep seeing posts about all of our expensive contract and missed picks... I'm still not sure I understand. Somehow, we've sustained being a top end team for 4 years now. McDermott and Beane have been here for 6, which means they've had 6 drafts and 2 classes qualify for free agency.

On paper, it's damn near impossible for them to be bad drafters and to have sustained success this long. We may not have a plethora of impact guys like we want... but it's not this colossal mess some posters are making it out to be.

Hey, hey pal! You better watch it with that reason and rationality around here. They don't take kindly to your kind 'round here....

  4. Yup.

I used to get pretty wrapped up in all of it. But it was like a switch got flipped at some point and it became, "I'mma just sit back and let these guys do their thing." I don't agree with everything they do. But when they make a decision I don't care for it doesn't prompt me to run to the internet and scream about it. Either it works or it doesn't, right? No use getting bent out of shape.

And that hasn't taken away any of my excitement or emotions on game days. I still get super hyped up and want them to do well. I get bummed when they lose but I don't allow myself to dwell on it. Maybe stomp around and fire off some fun colorful cuss words and then find something to do to get over it.

It's been rough on this board since the divisional round loss. That game sucked, for sure. I don't think it warranted a lot of responses from some folks on this forum. IMO, they're human beings who simply ran out of gas after a really grueling season. Is that on them? Is that on the coaches? I don't really care, I don't hold it against them. But some people will spend hours typing up pie charts and graphs and give you a thesis on why #00 is absolute dog poop and why McDermott is a bigger piece of dog poop for clapping too much and Beane is useless and doesn't draft well or sign good players. They've only built a consistent contender after 17 seasons of spinning their tires in the mud.

It's one of the best eras of Buffalo Bills football in their history and some people truly think they're being cheated because the Bills didn't give them the Super Bowl title they "deserve" because they've been a fan since 1964 and blah blah blah.

It's just easier to enjoy when you're not so hyped up one way or the other.

  5. Bummer. I wanted him to stay but not for that kind of money. I figured this would be the case, a team loaded with cap space was gonna throw a bag at him. Good for him, tho. Hope he does well. If he flips the switch and becomes an All-Pro we're gonna have to see every meathead here talk about how Beane screwed up and let him walk, blah blah blah.

Interested to see who they replace him with... I don't think he's currently on the roster, I'll say that much. Bernard doesn't exactly jump off the page for me, I feel like he's got career special teams guy written all over him. Better not be ol' AJ Klein either! Haha.

Did Roquan Smith get that kind of money? Because you would've thought they would've just paid him instead.

Hoping he’s fine.  If so, maybe he’s sick of the negative crap here and decided it’s not fun anymore. If I had more of a life, maybe I would. And I’m vacationing in Puerto Rico right now. Not that I would be missed like Yolo. He’s one of my favorites.

The negativity has been insane. The way half this board discusses this team you would've thought they went 0-16 and each player personally came thru and slapped each board members mama.

  7. I think it was time for a change. Nothing against the guy, he has put together some great defenses, almost every year finishing in the top five. It's just when the pressure has been on in the big moments it feels like he hasn't gotten it done, I guess.

Wish him all the best. Might be better to get a fresh perspective in there, even though it'll likely be an internal candidate replacing him, someone else at the helm might produce different results.

I wonder if McDermott just doesn't take over defensive play calling for this season if they really do expect Frazier back in 2024. I mean I know it happens in other fields where someone might need a long period of time away and someone else is promoted to fill in only to revert back to their previous job once the original person returns. But I dunno if that works in the NFL. What if the replacement does a better job, ya know? Just kind of an interesting situation.

  8. I was a little kid and I recall seeing Don Beebe getting dumped on his head against the Browns. I dunno why that one stuck with me, but it always has.

When I was little I picked my favorite teams based on uniform. First I liked the orange and black of the Bengals but then Joe Montana to John Taylor in SB24 bummed me out cause I wanted the "tiger guys" to win.

After that I switched to the silver and black Raiders. Happened to be the same year they faced the Bills in the AFC Championship. By halftime I had retired my Raiders shirt and fully embraced the Bills. I think I always knew I was a Bills fan but as a little kid I wanted to go against the grain and have "my own team" because I knew all of the fam were Bills fans. But then it was just too awesome not to jump on the bandwagon when they decimated da Raidahs that one January day.

  9. I assume they decided they wanted a "stripped down" type of show and let Rihanna be the singular focus. But I dunno if the Super Bowl is the spot for that kind of show. People expect theatrics from the halftime show. I understand she's pregnant so clearly she's not going to be doing backflips off the stage. And as I understood it they wanted the pregnancy reveal to be the big takeaway moment.

All that said, I mean, dang, we couldn't get some cool lights? A laser show? Drones creating fun imagery above the stadium? Some stunts? Maybe some pyro aside from the few fireworks they did outside the stadium? Maybe even a wardrobe change? Speaking of wardrobe, the decision to have all the dancers look like hyperactive little spermies in sunglasses sure was an interesting one. The dance choreography was also quite peculiar.

I like a good handful of her tunes so the music was fine it just was real bland in terms of show.

He played near perfect. Completely mistake free.

Folks keep saying “he didn’t do anything Josh can’t do” which is true. But he also didn’t do things that Josh does a lot, like make boneheaded decisions and throws.

He got lucky early when that ugly shovel pass he tried as he was going to the ground was nearly picked.

  11. Can't wait to see so many people hype him up all off-season and then dump all over him after he has a season that falls below their expectations. It'll still probably be like a solid 55 receptions for 850 yards and say 5 TDs but peeps will be like, "He shoulda caught 90! Shoulda went well over 1200 yards! Bust!" But I digress...

As for him not playing as much as fans would like, I recall reading that he was struggling as a blocker and was still getting acclimated to the scheme and all that. He had a few mental errors earlier in the season. I'm sure he'll be fine, he seems to catch nearly everything thrown at him. I'd imagine he's well within their plans for 2023 and will get more snaps.

This season was just unbelievable.  I cannot believe people are still blaming coaches for one loss after everything the team went through this year.  It is a miracle we won 13 games and a playoff game to be honest.  Wishing her a continued recovery.

Don't you know there are zero excuses allowed around here? If they didn't get it done then we just abide by the hordes here and fire everyone!!

Every safety they put in this year didn't seem ready to go.  Whether it was Johnson, Hamlin, or Cam Lewis, none of them preformed even good enough.

His work with Siren Neal as a CB seems to be terrible too.

This is fair. It seemed like Jaquan Johnson actually regressed. He flashed some in the limited snaps he had and seemed like he had a knack for turnovers. He got a chance to replace Hyde and he lasted like two series before they sent in Hamlin.

Safety is probably on Beane's shortlist. Seems unlikely Poyer will return, Hamlin is out indefinitely, Jaquan is a free agent... Yeah, gonna need reinforcements there.

  14. It's definitely been insinuated ever since the league changed the rule where teams are no longer required to wear only one helmet for the full season. That's what was preventing teams like the Bills or the Bucs from using different throwback kits. But yeah it seems like they've been dropping hints for it and I think I heard this season would be the one where they finally do the 90s throwbacks.
