once again, if Mayfield is falling that far down, we should be making a trade up. It didnt cost the chiefs that much to trade up from farther back to number 10. Also, i cant see us drafting a cb in the first round in back to back years

Should we put this kid on the Wall of Fame yet?

What exactly are the character concerns, other than being "brash"?
He tried to run from cops one time while drunk

Yeah. I edited after you quoted.
I appreciate that haha, so i dont see why #21, one of our seconds and perhaps a later rd pick if needed wouldnt be enough to get to #10

Thanks, I was already counting that first that year, and where did they come up from, 27?

Pretty sure we would still need to use both firsts to get up around pick #10.
What did the chiefs trade us last year? this years first and a 4th that year? Isnt that around the same spot we are trading from this year? If so, I always thought that a second this year is roughly the same as a first next year.

I think the skipping it will hurt his stock more than anything. NFL evaluators will hold it against him and it's not like he is in a position to skip the Senior Bowl. I think he's a second day pick. If he went to the Senior Bowl and played like poo he becomes a third day pick. It he plays awesome he could move up into the late first. If he does nothing at all, he's probably a day two pick. He probably felt it wasn't worth the risk as he's probably a day 2 pick anyway.
I think this is a fair assessment, and I wouldnt hate rudolph in the second, just dont want him in the 1st

He will have to show his arm in passing drills before the draft, combine-pro day, otherwise it will definitely hurt his status. There is a lot of tape on him but the pro evaluators absolutely want to see him perform in person close up and show if/how he makes certain throws. To me he has a good enuf arm to make the throws, he's accurate and he can throw with touch to all areas of the field. I'm not at all sure that he can make those throws that require a very strong arm, so he might be limited.
Yep, and he needs to show how he is under center as a traditional drop back guy as well. I think they would rather showcase that in a more controlled environment like a pro day

Rudolph will need a great senior bowl of he'll probably be on the board when they pick in the 2nd round.
He is not participating in the senior bowl now due to "injury"
My guess is he believes it would hurt his stock
2 minutes ago, DrDawkinstein said:False. He averages 10yds/att, was #7 in attempts across all college football, still maintained a comp % of 65%, and went over 210 passes in a row without an interception. Dude can make all the throws, even tough outs, with accuracy and power.
He had two receivers that bailed him out a lot with their great catch radius, he also plays in a passer friendly system.

He's big. He's not TT. Bills have scouted him 3 times, with Beane. He's not TT. He plays from the pocket. He's not black, I mean TT. He has a strong arm.
I thought his arm strength was a big question mark on rudolph

That's a hard pass.
Rudolph looks like Bryce Petty with a worse arm and Jackson's learning curve will be extremely steep.
I agree with this, I dont want either of these guys

if one of the guys we likes starts to get towards #10, i dont see any reason why we wouldnt trade one of the 1st and one of the 2nds to go up and get him
it would still leave us with another first round and second round pick
-
if baker mayfield makes it anywhere near number 10 we should trade up
-
If all of what you say happens, that is the worst case scenario for the bills imo. I am not going to pick a qb just to pick one a la EJ. Assuming we dont trade back to acquire more picks (maybe get a first next year again?), id rather see them roll with peterman and one of the stop gap guys. And get the QB next year
-
i dont think it matters if he gets the exclusive tag

Nice win last night. But hard to get super excited since pitt is terrible and Kevin Stallings has singlehandedly run that program into the ground.
I was so happy that Jamie Dixon left

On the contrary, I think, even more than his talent, that one of the most appealing things about signing Cousins is being able to use all of those five top-100 picks to fill out the rest of the roster.
If we signed our QB, then we can afford to draft 5 of the BPA at HB/WR/OG/OT/DT/DE/LB/CB.
I am not against that either, and agree with that method, but my point was more we better not be trading up unless we have solved our QB issue before, or we are trading up for a qb
