All-22 Grades for Bills/Dolphins (The Athletic)
LABILLBACKER replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Van Roten needs to be released. He's not an NFL center. Go find some promising kid on a PS. -
Today’s injury report is encouraging [snip]
LABILLBACKER replied to chris heff's topic in The Stadium Wall
It would be fun to see Justin and his huigh energy return for a few plays. But as soon as Phillips is 100% he better be lined up right next to Ed. Morse over Rotensnap will be huge. -
All-22 Grades for Bills/Dolphins (The Athletic)

Aside from Dawkins & Morse, our OL is garbage. And this is basically the exact argument we all discussed adnasium last year and the year before. Kromer hasn't exactly come in and done much with these guys. We usually use our top 4-5 picks each year on something other than OL. Ford was bad and Doyle a perennial 3rd string guy. This organization has got to upgrade OL if for no other reason than to keep qb1 upright for the next decade. -
Boomer Esiason suggests the Bills should trade for Barkley
LABILLBACKER replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our OL can't run block to save their lives. Last week we struggled pass protection. Barkley would just have to bounce everything outside like Spiller. I know we need faster than Singletary/Cook, but I don't know if Saquon is the answer at what price he'll command. We have our HOF QB & WR, but still searching for Thurman. -
Yeah he probably should've challenged Gabe's play. So what if it costs him a time out. He's just going to blow his TO's in the 3rd Qtr anyway. 😉

Update: Xavier Rhodes signed by Bills
LABILLBACKER replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
When? Other than Dion & Mitch pretty much every other OL position has been a revolving door.l -
If I'm Josh I don't wanna see VanRotensnap anywhere near that LOS.
-
Hate the lack of speed from these guys. Hate the RPO because both qb and rb are starting from a dead stopped position. The rb has no momentum attacking whatever hole is available.
-
Daboll fell into this trap and now Dorsey is doing it too. At least Ken is taking some pressure off JA with all the dumpoffs. We've just never committed to good run blocking olineman or dynamic RB's. I have zero faith in us ever converting a 3rd & 1 or 4th & 1 without Josh having to do some stupid acrobatic play. If you want to enjoy 17's services for the next 10-12 years these coaches better figure it out.

Van Roten cannot be allowed to ever snap the ball.

Milano always has and always will be our best LB.

Isaiah McKenzie Show 9/26 - discusses the scene in Miami

Can we just start a billboard campaign encouraging Sean to hold his time outs till the end. It should never come down to spikes but I'm sure they'll be working on that in practice this week. -

Pay Rhodes and Collins 1M each. That's more than they'll make sitting on the couch. We need help immediately and God knows when Tre, Dane and Poyer will be 100%. Jaquan's 29 pff wasn't exactly a ringing endorsement. -

Williams is a motivation issue. When he wants to, he's good, but most of the time he plays like he just doesn't care. Mongo's primary talent involves getting in scurmishes. Here's where a healthy Teller would be amazing if still with us. -

I agree, we're in no position to be picky. We need veterans, not newbies learning on the job. Now call Landon Collins. -

Same age as Hyde & Poyer. Hired! -
Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme
LABILLBACKER replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's a reason Leslie will probably never get hired as a HC. Besides his obvious ultra conservative style, his obsession with "prevent" in long yardage situations has burned this team multiple times. 13 seconds was classic Frazier, as was 3rd & 22. He hates to blitz even though he has above avg DE pass rushers everywhere. When 4 of the 8 you drop in coverage are green, put your faith in the Dline Sean drafted. It was an insanely stupid call. -

Let me see. McDermott is a defensive coach who has historically drafted defensive players higher than OL while with the Bills. He tells Beane where to lean. This is well documented. -
Why exactly are we favored by 3.5 in Baltimore?
LABILLBACKER replied to Adamb412's topic in The Stadium Wall
Betters always move the line. When they see the volume of players out. I just don't see it holding at -3.5. -
It's still holding at a cool 70° at gametime with 58% chance of scattered rain. Wind 12mph. There won't be any heat issues in this game.

They will when they see our injury report. -3.5 will eventually be -2. -
Isaiah had a clear path to the 45 ob marker which would've stopped the clock around 6-7 seconds. But he tried to go upfield closer to the 40 which got him run down. At least at the 45 Bass could've attempted a 62 yarder.
