Here's the thing, KC rarely turns the ball over, so teams need to play clean and sharp against them........basically good old fashioned role up your sleeves and go to work for 60 minutes and on every play.

If you can't win an honest game without having to rely on turnovers, i seriously have no idea how long that will carry you.

It's carried us this far, however, so KC will be a true test.

Except that we’ve already played KC and won the game. Don’t recall the turnover margin. Doesn’t predict the outcome of the next game, but the test was already passed. So much moving of the goalposts here and finding reasons why this or that one didn’t “ count”.

  2. Large plays wouldn’t have been necessary. There was 1:30 or whatever remaining. The Bills had timeouts , and would only need a FG as time expired for the win. I doubt the Bills would “ play for the OT” in that situation. Imagine for a second thinking -great the Bills tied the game and only left 1:30 for Mahomes to get the win. We’re going to OT for sure! Thats absurd and so is thinking OT or even a loss was going to be inevitable.

Where are the mismatches?  Where are the big plays?  Why are you not clicking with Josh?  Is Brady to blame?  Opposing TEs continually find soft spots in our coverage, and catch large chunk plays, game after game.  Why can't Kincaid?

9 different Bills have had most receiving yards in a game.  Kincaid has 0.

We know Kincaid has mitts, and he looks smooth sometimes.  Hes got size, and some speed.  Knox is a much more complete TE, yet Kincaid still struggles

Will Kincaid make any big plays against KC?

I like Dalton, and I am rooting for him.  But Im perplexed why he is so underwhelming.

    Thoughts?

    GO BILLS!

I’d like more from Kincaid , but a lot of what we saw last night was rather game plan specific. The Ravens were a mismatch for the Bills - as everyone pointed out to us. The Bills staff designed a gameplan to win the game regardless. I don’t think the KC gameplan will look the same at all.

    Eh, I don’t think that’s fair accounting.
-Lamar’s INT was unforced for sure, but his fumble was under huge duress. Yes he dropped the ball but that probably doesn’t happen without a Bill spinning him around.
-Textbook DPI was missed on a Shakir crosser on 3rd down. Hand around the waist, turned the receiver and slowed him down; no call.

-Oliver was held very clearly at least twice that was uncalled (to be fair, one of them was on a sack and we would’ve declined it).

-Broadcast replayed a textbook helmet to helmet shot on Allen by Humphrey that wasn’t called.

I'm sure there’s more (both for and against us), and I don’t have the inclination to go through and total everything up. Bottom line is that we won the game, and we “deserved” to win just as much as any winner in any close game.

    GO BILLS!

This^ The Bills didn’t turn the ball over and they took advantage of their opponents miscues. That sounds kind of familiar - like a certain team in the AFC West? The Bills did what they needed to win and found a way. The right team won the game and are moving on.

I do not like saying it but the Ravens have more talent than we do. They played without Flowers the entire game and Bateman for most of their last drive. The better team doesn't always win in the playoffs; see today's game and the Lions-Commanders game.

There are moral wins and there are moral losses. A moral win is still a loss and a moral loss is still a win.

Bills' win today was a moral loss.

The game should not have been this close. The ravens had three turnovers to none for us and would have sent the game into overtime were it not for the Andrews flub at the end.

Don't get me wrong. Our D got those turnovers with outstanding plays but once again the game was a tale of two halves. Our O owned them in the first half and struggled in the second half.

That last TD drive of the Ravens had me thinking, "Oh no; it's 13 seconds all over."  I get that you go conservative on D in that situation but we got no pressure on Jackson. On a slippery field the receiver has the advantage. What could the D have done to pressure or confuse Jackson? maybe a blitz but that's risky. Does anyone zone blitz anymore?

A win is a win. On to KC. It will be interesting to see what we and KC do with schemes. The KC O line has pass protection woes that can be exploited. KC's D is no joke.

    GO BILLS

Eh, Overtime was far from a given. The Bills would have had about 1:30 or so to move down the field and notch a winning FG.

It appears that Shawn Smith is going to be the referee for the Super Bowl this year. I am trying to find out who the refs for the Title games will be this week. I have noticed that Hochuli hasn't officiated yet so maybe he wasn't graded high enough this year but worst case scenario he's the official for our game. I thought the refs come from the pool of WC refs though but I can't confirm that.

    Please no Hochuli or Torbert

I just got to my hotel in Rochester. I understand there are still people trying to get home from the game.

The Bills kind of stole one here. That Ravens defense was the best we've played all year. They kept us to just 6 points in the second half.

That said, if you puke up the ball three times and drop a game tying catch, you deserved to lose.

Go Bills. Beat KC. Not done yet

Yep, you need some luck in the playoffs if you’re going to reach the big show.

That Ravens team was better than us. They simply made too many errors. Thank God for that

And that’s the playoffs. You only have to find a way to be better that day. Baltimore’s regular season didn’t do anything for them tonight.

I find it ironic that a Bills vs Eagles Super Bowl would complete the NFC East Super Bowl bingo card for the Bills.  😂

Rematch with Washington is coming. Eagles won’t be there.

Going slightly off topic now, but median is an average.

Mean, median, and mode are the three averages. I suspect the average you're thinking about is the mean.

Either way, I’d guess George thought “average” sounded a bit better.

Still wrong, the official on the broadcast stated that QBs after the interception can only be hit if they are involved in play, which he was not in the play. If the defender simply blocked him it would have been fine but you can't hit him.

I stand corrected. They must have changed that rule. Not surprising as they have protected QBs over the years.
