Lol.  So ONE guy chases the narrative for 7 guys?  Hahaha ok.

I dont see why you keep ignoring Beane was a member of the Carolina Panthers when that Zay trade happened.  So HOW did he trade for those 2?

That one guy meaning Brady, uh yeah that kinda does, since he was in 6 superbowls.

You can can preach your arachiac mantra of defense wins championships (which is quickly going away it’s not a fad)while I say offense gets you that championship and now wins them.

All good man, and I get where you are coming from, but I just dont think its as different as people think.

What are you talking about, I have mentioned Brady a lot lol...read more than one post.

    Prolific Passers

Rodgers, Brees, Rivers, Luck, Ryan and Stafford.

    You didnt include Brady.

Your thinking of building a defense first is just wrong, there have been many times that the bills fielded an excellent defense but it didn’t do any good and there is a decent defense right now it means nothing because we can’t score.

Same problem last year only it’s much worse.

This FO has just one year to fix the offense and it’s not going to happen with the resources and time they have.

I totally agree with you on that.  And I am not saying McD will be good at that, I am making the case there is no way to know that today given the talent he has to work with this year and the injury to Allen.

I will say he managed to take a bad offense to the playoffs last year, and during a year most thought we would win 5 games around here.  So he has earned the benefit of the doubt until the personnel gets better next year.  End of next season, if the offense is not vastly improved after investing in it this off season, then his seat will get hot.

You quoted a bunch of stuff not directed at you...lol.  So dont take it personal, I like your posts and you as a poster.

But, what about 2015?  Just 3 years ago.  Broncos won the SB with the worst QB's in the NFL that year in Manning and Brock during the regular season, and then won the big game with the worst QB performance in SB history for a winning QB.

Flacco won the SB with mediocre offense a couple years before that.  Seattle won the SB and almost back to back with run first offense.  I mean this was all in the last handful of years.  Most SB's have-at least one team that isnt a prolific offense over the last 10 years, and several winners.  Giants beat Pats TWICE...who had the most prolific offense in NFL history at that point with defense.

I meant there are more examples the last 10 to 15 years that say the opposite.

Meanwhile:  The most prolific passers:  Rogers, Brees, Rivers, Luck, Ryan, Stafford, etc have barely sniffed the SB and combine for only 2 SB wins.

I noticed you left out Brady.

Here is the thing thought:  People need to stop comparing McD to Fox or Fisher.  They got fired for being bad HC's.  Fisher has the most losses in NFL history for instance.

There is fairy tale going on amongst this board that suddenly feels this false narrative that a HC with defensive backgrounds cant be good NFL HC's...all the while Belicheck has dominated the NFL and this division for almost 20 years as a defensive minded HC.

    And a guy named Brady.

Quality head coaches understand both sides of the ball and have input everywhere. What you just said just further iterates that he should be a defensive coordinator, not a head coach.

And even if you're OK with his only duty for the offensive side of the ball is finding the right person to run it...he's 0-2.

And that’s another problem in itself. He is stuck with his OC. He can’t fire him and get a quality OC because he will be on the hot seat next year, any OC won’t take the risk of being dismissed after one year.

No, people are using this thread as an attack on McD like hes so stupid for starting NP.  Well he has NOT started NP yet.  As of today, he is the ONLY ready QB.  So TODAY he will say NP.  Period.  To draw any conclusion about McD or this decision is stupid, he is CURRENTLY the ONLY healthy and ready QB.

If someone else is ready by Sunday, they will start.  But right now they are not, so to WANT him to say someone else name is silly.  He cant, and won't until there is another name that is ready to play.  So yes, stupid thread for how people are using it against McD

    So who started game 1?

  7. Well, if someone has the time;

there should be some polls on who the fans wanted to draft on each season.

Lets assume a majority on those polls wins or frequency of a player in a round on mocks and compare those to see if that player fell to the draft spot the bills had. If that player was gone next popular choice.

If this team is not improved by this time next year; then you got me! Give them then off season!

That is always the retort from the not so smart fire everybody crowd! Who?

But how many more wins will next year yield with the limited resources?

And how how many wins will it take for them to save their jobs?

Do you think it would be enough?

Are you looking into your crystal ball little guy?

I don’t need to. It is very simple.

There isn’t enough resources vs time.

The Bills have ten picks, but how many of those will be actual NFL day one starters? How many will be offense

You have FA but these players who actually do make it FA have to fit a model set by this FO and compete with other NFL teams finically and reputation-wise.

We have to base improvement from a wins stand-point. How many of those resources will contribute to wins?

Grumble all you want about how coaches don’t get enough time, but that is how it is in the present NFL.

    Get a grip Junior!

The standard is 3 years not 5. There is not enough time nor resources to fix what has been done.

The F.O. has already committed their firing offenses, they just won’t be fired until next year, which is stupid when it can be done as a proactive measure right after this season.

  11. It would be the smart move to move on after this season.

This isn’t getting fixed in the off-season. There won’t be enough Carolina cast offs in FA, and any other FA has to be part of their precious process as well as their draft picks, speaking of  the draft resources, the players drafted that give immediate impacts will be at the very best 3 players and the first draft pick will be  defense player anyway.

    Who coached them?

I lovr you guys.  When it's something from that draft that supports badhing McD, he ran the draft.  When it doesn't all of a sudden it was Whaley.

I think Pegulas will give them the time

I cannot name one person here who has not said something to the effect that until they draft a QB nothing else matters.  So they do that and they're still wrong.

Pegulas give 5 years? Not happening.

Because of one qb who sat for a year and now is playing on a all star team of offensive players.......

By the way....Mahommes just threw his 6th interception  in the last 4 games.....and ppl think he would not throw more with this offensive trash.....comical

His offensive line is keeping him clean....his OT's are playing outstanding.....and ppl think he would get that here....comical

Everytime I read something like this I tend to agree which begs the question why aren’t the bills like those other teams where QBs are put in a position to succeed?

Google the 2017-2018 playoff teams and get back to me

It isn’t a playoff team now is it?

The idea is to get better not worse.

Your logic is they will burn it down and build it back up, but what you fail to realize is, this even if this coaching staff and FO are good enough to do that  which is questionible, will they have the time see their vision play out?

The last part is critical, see if the results this year were close to last year it would have been possible, that’s why you see other teams making do with the talent they have and  build on that, it gives them more wins and more time to build their team to the final product as they see fit.

Next year is what they have left, and because of the holes that have to be filled, it won’t be successful either.

It isn’t predicting, this coaching staff and FO has already made their reasons for being fired.
