You'd think a coach from the Dabo Swinney coaching tree would be good but he's pretty awful

Definitely looked like PI. Of course teams like Pittsburgh don't get called there

Singletary finishes with EIGHT rushing attempts

Like I said in another post. When you're not winning on first and second down with the run like the running game wasn't doing in the second half then you're not going to get a lot more runs. Running game: 14 carries for 56 yards = 4.0 yards per attempt Passing game: 41 attempts for 266 yards = 6.5 yards per attempt. There was also a 35-yard PI call which is basically a 35-yard completion. 1 sack for -6 yards. So really 43 drop backs for 295 yards = 6.86 yards per passing play So passing the ball averaged 6.86 yards per play while running the ball averaged 4.0 yards per attempt. But for some reason Buffalo fans are obsessed with running a lot. This is like I said in another post that people act like a 3 or 4 yard run is better than a 6 or 7 yard pass for some reason. -

But like I said the refs are putting us way behind the sticks when they're finding a hold against us almost every single drive. We did move the ball somewhat well. -

A lot of that had to do with the refs too. They called 4 holdings against the Bills in the second half. The Browns were holding too and weren't called once. Getting put 10 yards behind the chains on 4 possessions makes things difficult. The refs need to stop influencing the games with their subjective holding calls that could be called on almost any play. -

What? His carries in the 2nd half were all getting stuffed. -

That's why he didn't get more carries. When you're not getting yards on your carries you're putting the team in a passing down. A lot of Bills drives die when we run too much too. Why people can't admit that is beyond me. Like I've said many times in the past... there's a reason why passing the ball usually averages at least 3 more yards per play than running it does. I'm glad the Bills finally want to be a passing team. -

And yet he had only 21 yards on 5 carries in the second half. One of those a 10-yard run. 4 for 11 yards on the other 4 carries. That's only a 4.025 yard average and just under half of those came on one carry. Running the ball wasn't exactly working too well in the second half. People really act like a 2 or 3 yard run is better than a 6 or 7 yard pass. I don't get it. -
Bills at Browns Post Game Post Mortem
suorangefan4 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I said it quite a few times in the GDT and I'll say it again. The refs aren't the main reason we lost but this nonsense where they call the Bills for about 4 holds every week while calling our opponents for none (even though they're holding too) is really old. Holding is one of the worst rules in all of sports because it's called so inconsistently and it lets refs pick and choose when and which team they want to call it on. When you're putting one team 10 yards behind the sticks on four different possessions and not a single time for the other team on such a subjective call that could be called on the majority of plays then I take huge issue with it.
