Is the pick distribution shown for the league or in general?
In general, on all of yahoo’s leagues. It’s not the picks for this specific TBD league.
I made that mistake my first year playing pick’em. I was letting it influence some of my picks, thinking I was making a “safe” pick everyone else in the league made too. Or the opposite pick of most in the league (to try and gain ground on them). But it has zero to do with the picks made by others in your league.
Also, just FYI - the team listed on the left of the column (when making your picks) is always the favored team to win.

yes. On the main fantasy page, above the league name where it has these 3 options: “create group” “join group” “fantasy profile”click on fantasy profile. Then when it takes you to the new page, along the top click “history”. That will show your history for every year you played in a yahoo league.

he also has a cool review channel on YouTube where he spotlights some of his favorite drummers/songs.
this guy also has some good content. He’s a studio musician for a lot of different metal bands. He doesn’t post a lot, and probably posts more on r/drums (Reddit).
I enjoy watching him play. He’s so good at double bass.

Hopefully the terms of his new deal don’t allow the bengals to franchise tag him.
Watch him have another big year and have to stay under Bengals control …That’s what I was wondering too. Is there a no tag clause or not?
I’ll be interested to find out!
edit - sounds like it does not have a no tag clause.

What is the consensus thoughts on Nissan? I've driven a Murano for 7 years, and I love it! The redesigned Murano's appeal to me, and was thinking of stopping into our Nissan dealership to look more closely at them.
I think the newer ones are supposed to be better now. But for a while they had major issues with their continuously variable transmissions (CVT).I do think they recently had a pretty big engine recall too.

Offers are nice. I think Jerry jones is going to not back down one iota. In fact I think he feels so wronged. That he’s going to make him play out his rookie deal. And franchise tag him over and over again. He’s pissed. He’s not gonna let him go. He’s going to show Micah you don’t go back on a gentleman’s handshake w the supreme emperor of the nfl
I think JJ ends up paying him like he has the rest of his star players. He always drags out negotiations and ends up paying more than he could have if he had just paid them sooner. It’s like an annual Dallas tradition at this point. lol
After hearing Jones talk at his Netflix premiere, everything he does truly is just all about creating storylines to keep the cowboys name in the news cycle.
(listen to the whole 59 second clip. It’s a more detailed answer than the Twitter quote)
his contract negotiating strategy never made sense to me until this interview. I could never think of a logical reason why he always seemed to wait for other star players to set the market even higher. But now I think he views the headlines a contract dispute creates as being worth more than saving cap space (by getting a deal done sooner) to use on depth players.

Don't recall any "look out for...." when it comes to Toyota? Like Honda is always timing belts at about 100k. Both of my accords have needed work on the cam actuator. Makes a loud loose chain sound when starting. They also both burn oil.
No, not really. Nothing too major anyway.
I remember some models a while back had an issue with the fuel pump failing. And some older Toyota’s used to go through brake pads quicker than they should have but I think that was resolved iirc. I also remember an issue with some older models having a somewhat weak a/c compressor. Some old Toyotas will use up oil more quickly but that’s an issue with many old cars.
Most of the issues we’d see were mainly from improper maintenance.
I do remember hearing about a big recall of 2021-2023 Toyota vehicles for debris left in the engines from the machining process.

I’d be totally fine bringing him back on a cheap-ish deal.
I think I’d rather see them try to find a way to bring in Justin Simmons though (who is still a free agent), especially since he specifically said he’d love to play for the Bills. Even just on a 1 year deal for now to see how he fits, and to give Bishop some more time to develop.
Simmons/Rapp would be a nice safety duo.

There are a lot of truly amazing drummers out there, and I keep discovering more via social media outlets like YouTube. I have a hard time saying any one guy is best.
I love Neil Peart. He’s among the best for sure. But personally, there are drummers I’d probably put above him. Like Danny Carey (of Tool). His drum tracks are iconic.
As a former percussionist myself, I think Danny Carey’s drum parts are some of the most complex I’ve ever attempted to play. Half the time you can’t even figure out what time signature he’s in. lol
If you are into the drums, check out the YouTube channel “drumeo”. They have some awesome videos where they bring in all these different drummers from famous bands and then they have them listen to a bunch of different songs with iconic drum tracks until they find a song the drummer has never heard before. Then they play them the track without the drum part and have them do their own drum part to the song. Then compare. It’s super fun to watch if you are into that kind of stuff.

I used to sell Toyota’s at one of the biggest Toyota dealerships in the country. They are some of the best vehicles on the market. I also used to sell Honda’s.
I would purchase either without any hesitation. If you take care of them (do the maintenance/upkeep) they will last forever. Or at least that used to be true. I haven’t sold cars in years now (since before the pandemic). But I remember seeing many Toyotas and Hondas with very high mileage come in for service. I remember one guy had over 350k on his old Honda and the thing still ran great.
I don’t know how true this is but I heard there were at least a couple rough years (2021-2022) for most car manufacturers due to so many supply shortages during the pandemic, and having to use what parts they could get. I’d assume that’s corrected now. I’d still be a bit more leery about outright buying a 2021 or 2022 model though, unless you’ve already driven it for years and know it’s reliable.

I think about this all the time, I was young and broke but even 10 20$ and I'd be a millionaire, it was like 10 cents and my buddy was into that world smh 😢
Even if you bought them, you probably would have misplaced them and that would be way worse (IMO). That is what happened to my buddy. He had a bunch when people used to pass them out for free (he even offered to send me some free back then). But for the life of him, he can’t find them on any hard drive he owns and he has spent a crazy amount of time looking.

I was wondering how Allen and Lamar got 3 votes and 4 votes respectively that placed them outside of Tier 1.
Yeah I wondered the same thing.
I’d like to know their reasons for voting them tier 2 but I’m sure it would just be some nonsense anyway. lol

Was that Dawkins’ own property or was it some sort of makeshift track somewhere on the rez? They made it seem like it was his cars in his garage but there were native ads all over the place, like it was behind big Indian smoke shop or something.
it’s called big Indian drift pit. It’s out on the Cattaraugus reservation. Definitely worth checking out one of their events. It’s a good time!https://www.bigindiandriftpit.com

feel like Bills heavily restricted their access
And I'm fine with that, i like that they didn't let them in the locker room or meetings
27 minutes ago, blitzboy54 said:I don't, it's stupid. Access is the entire point. McD doesn't like accountability when it comes to himself. Only the players and assistant coaches.
there are definitely cameras in the meeting rooms. I’m sure we will see footage from meetings in future episodes. This was a pretty standard first episode of hard knocks. They are at training camp, so I’m not sure about locker room footage but they usually have cameras in there too.
The access HBO is given is the same for every team. Buffalo isn’t preventing anything.

For those with lower tier versions of HBO max, hard knocks hits the app right after it airs live. So, 10pm EST.

Lot of great content on HBO Max - its worth having IMHO and it also is something that often is included free with cell phone plans or other subscriptions too, so check your cell carrier for discounts or free throw ins. I had it free for years when I was with ATT, but I am with Verizon now and I get it in a cheap bundle with some other stuff.
- Sopranos - epic, top 3 show all time IMHO.
- Succession - One of the best shows of the past decade IMHO.
- Game of Thrones - Best of its genre
- House of Dragon - Also great, same world as Game of Thrones
- Barry - Excellent - Great balance between comedy, drama and action - more comedy than anything.
- The Wire - one of the best of its kind.
- Curb Your Enthusiasm - Uncensored and politically incorrect "Seinfeld" - its excellent.
- Silicon Valley - Rewatching this again now actually and still hilarious.
- Entourage - Another all time great comedy loosely based on Mark Wahlberg and Are Emmanuel (head of WME)
- The Wire - one of the best of its kind.
- Eastdown and Bound & Vice Pricinipals - if you like Danny McBride, two hilarious comedy series
- True Detective - Season 1 especially (each season is different and independent from the others)
- White Lotus - All seasons have been really good, each season is also different and independent from the others for the most part.
- The Night Of - One of the all time best limited series shows IMHO
- The Jinx - Awesome docuseries following alleged killer Robert Durst
There are a lot of other great shows, limited series, documentaries etc all depending on taste, this is just more of a hit list I would start with. Its really got some of the best original content of any content provider out there IMHO.
Agreed
Barry and Succession are two of the best original shows on there for sure. I haven't watched Veep, but Curb is an all time fave for me too.
Life and Times of Tim and Ten Year Old Tom are often overlooked gems lol. I still need to watch the Last of Us one of these days.
NOTE: Unrelated to HBO - just on the topic of shows - Just finished the first season "Mobland" on Paramount+ (by Guy Ritchie) and it was awesome.
This is a great list. The wire is a must watch since he never seen it.I would also add “Oz” to your list. If you haven’t seen it, definitely check it out. Phenomenal, and I honestly thought it just got better and better as the seasons went on.
The series “6 feet under” is great too.
”Ballers” is really, really good. Especially for NFL fans.
There’s an HBO movie called “something the lord made”. Highly recommend that one as well. One of my favorite movies. It’s a true story about Dr. Alfred Blalock and his black assistant Vivien Thomas, the men who cured “blue baby syndrome” and pioneered modern heart surgery. Vivien Thomas’ life was incredible.
The mini series “warm springs” on FDR’s battle with polio is also excellent.
There are so many good HBO series and movies. HBO Max is by far my favorite streaming service. If I could only have one streaming service, it would be HBO max.
edit - can’t believeI forgot to mention “the last of us”. So good!

I’m excited about this. I’m an OG Hard Knocks fan. I just hope they don’t make it too cheesy like The Bears Hard Knocks last season.
Same! I’ve been watching since the first season. It’s so cool the Bills are going to finally be on the show.

Yeah it can be a fun hobby.
Funny story: That laundry chute you see in the third picture above: I quickly became tired of carrying clothes back up the stairs, so I built a reverse-sucking machine that allows us to not only drop the clothes down when when they're dirty, but also suck them back up to the 2nd story when they're clean.
I made a video of this process if anyone wants to see it.
Yes, please!

@PromoTheRobot I give you props for continuing to always remain positive about the Sabres, and I don’t mean that in a snarky way.
I try to be a person who looks for the positives but my hope tank for the Sabres is bone dry. lol

Peterka immediately signs an extension in Utah - $7.7M x 5.
Doan makes $925k
Kesselring makes $1.4m
Sure looks like this was yet another money saving move to me.
I also wonder if they were worried about a potential offer sheet with lots of up front bonus money that Pegula probably wouldn’t be willing to match.
Remember Kevyn Adams telling us for years how he couldn’t spend to the cap because he needed money to pay his upcoming RFA’s starting this season? LMAO
The only RFA due for a real pay day was just traded away.
Who else?
Quinn?(lol)
Mittelstadt was traded instead of being payed, and the guy he was traded for (Byram) is also about to be traded away now they he is due to be paid.
Levi will just get a qualifying offer
McLeod has earned a pay day but it won’t be $7+ M top 6 forward money like JJP. More of a “good 3rd liner” type money.
anyway…
Doan looks to be a bottom 6 type forward prospect with some snarl to his game. The Sabres can definitely use him.
And Kesselring was #6 in ice time among Utah defenseman.
He does have very good analytics and will hopefully be a good partner for Power. I do really like kesselring, just not at this price.

Florida is so well coached, positionally sound, and they play perfect structured hockey. The better team won, it's as simple as that.
Bill Zito has done such an incredible job turning that team into a powerhouse.
He had a vision for that team and executed it perfectly.Think about the guts it took to make some of the moves he did at the time he made them…
Coming off a president’s trophy in 2021-22 he moved on from the coach that had just led them to their best regular season in franchise history (58-18-6) and traded his leading scorer + top pairing defenseman (weegar was #1 in minutes played by defenseman for Florida in ‘21/22) because he thought the team needed an identity change to go deep in the playoffs.
And to think, the Sabres interviewed Bill Zito before they hired Jason Botterill.
Oof. lol
