We could clear the bridge in weeks IF

    1) our federal maritime agencies @DOTMARAD & @USCG were fully funded and functional

    2) we had heavylift, salvage and offshore construction ships on hand. We don’t The Navy sold off almost its entire fleet of salvage ships. We don’t     even have a single fireboat in the Navy’s most important port.

    3) The Navy hadn’t outsourced the majority of its salvage operations to a European company Sailing assets from Europe would take weeks and       would anger certain powerful lobbyists

    4) The Army didn’t sell off the majority of it’s watercraft fleet and deprioritize the Corps of Engineers maritime missions

    5) If our DOT Ready Reserve fleet was fully functional and not a half a century old

    6) if the balance sheets of our US shipping companies, tugboat operators, construction companies encouraged growth

    7) if silicon valley investors didn’t have a revulsion to investing in maritime startups with revolutionary new ideas

😎 if the media understood ships and focused on the right stories and pushed DC in the right directions

    9) if environmental regulations were not onerous

    10) local port politics

There are seven or eight heavy salvage ships on site right now. What is this guy talking about?

I was just playing there game. I do think with all the money spent on other countries infrastructure and so little money spent on ours. That is bidens fault. That is absolutely true.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill is the largest investment of capital in our infrastructure in decades but whatever you say.

What did I say that is in opposition to that?

As someone who dislikes Trump, I’m stating that our only recourse is to vote for a very flawed candidate because the other side hates us .. and furthermore, will not leave us alone.  It’s a constant antagonistic nature from them.

I was someone who participated in Pride and supported LGBTQ groups 10 years ago.  I rejected the idea that it was a slippery slope.  I was wrong .. it’s relentless and it’s the new religion.

You did when you said that declaring transgender day of visibility means that Biden somehow hates all Christians and is "demonic."

Same old song and dance we've heard for years. I remember when Obama was going to make it illegal to be a Christian.

I’m pretty sure both candidates are trying as hard as they can to lose the election.  There is no other explanation for the things these two people do.

As for Biden, he knows what he’s doing declaring this on the same day Easter falls this year.  It’s clearly a message .. and one every Christian should rebuke.

He already banned religious symbols and themes at the Easter egg hunt.

If you have any semblance of Christian values or even moderate/conservative values, the people running this country hate you.   They will not leave you, and what you hold sacred, alone.   They will continue this constant affront until you relent and give up.

So vote this demonic regime out.  I’ve been hesitant to use that term, but that’s what we’re dealing with.  Enough evidence is out there.  These people hate Christianity and everything it stands for.

Solid argument you’ve got going. Sadly, it’s with yourself as any breathing being can see what a load of crap it is.

I think pure speed guys mostly struggle in the NFL because all they’ve relied on their entire career is speed. They don’t have savvy moves to get open, they’re not QB friendly with understanding of coverages, they don’t always have the best hands. Worthy has had legit production at a major collegiate conference, he’s not a one year wonder like John Ross. Given the league isn’t as physical as it once was, he should be okay. Devonta Smith is similar in size and has been highly productive.

DeSean Jackson made a good career out of being a burner. I think Henry Ruggs would have been a stud if he wasn’t a complete psychopath

its going to be interesting to see what failures caused this.

Not the first time we have seen issues with these ships.  at first, my mind went right to "evergreen"

Especially odd that it had just left port. It was like 30 minutes into a 27 day journey.

    RIP and condolences.

    prayers for the emergency responders.

the only positive is the fact it happened in the middle of the night.

At least Berkshire Hathaway (owners of Mitsui and Co.) have deep pockets.

Honest question. Can a Ship be hacked?  Power killed?  I would imagine these floating cities have triple redundant systems in place.

Reports are that people saw lights flickering on and off, indicating the emergency generators were at least trying to kick on.

It wasn’t a U.S. ship, I think it was en route to Sri Lanka

This is dumb.  So is Karen (for short) saying that ISIS feels compelled to admit responsibility because Ukraine is being blamed?   Or that ISIS is lying and taking blame for the attack when it was really Ukraine?  Because ISIS is on Ukraine's side?

The point is, ISIS is hanging up a big “we did it lol” sign and weirdo anti-Ukraine types are ignoring it in favor of insane conspiracy theories
