  1. Sorry for another speculation thread, but this guy works for optimum scouting, and wrote a piece on what his team has heard around the league.

    — If there’s one strong quarterback-team connection, it’s Trubisky and the Bills. They’ve had strong interest throughout the season and draft process, and they actually were one of the teams he looked to for advisement when he was making his decision to declare for the draft. While I don’t believe the Jets will draft a quarterback, the Bills might trade with the Titans to ensure they can get to Trubisky before New York. I would be surprised if they target a different quarterback, but they’ve done their due diligence on all of them.

    I believe that sending Terry out to meet with quarterbacks can't be a smokescreen for all that effort. I would not mind Trub here, but we would have to trade up and that is where things get dicy for me. Is Trubisky more valuable than fixing the gaping holes in the backfield?

    No thank you to all of them! They were all in a losing era! You may be kidding and maybe not, the list is sort of all over the place. But, no to all!

    being completely facetious :thumbsup:

    in seriousness I would like to see Moulds or especially Kevin Everett.

    +++100!

    I really don't understand why people assume Cardale is any good at all. Please remember he lost his starting job on his college team - a starting role he only got as a third-stringer after two injuries ahead of him.

    I'm not trying to hate on him - he has good basic physical tools, and had a brief run of tremendous success at OSU - but he was a 4th round pick for a reason.

    Didn't he lose it because Urban Meyer's system was not a good fit for him? Thats what my understanding has been.

  4. I really don't understand Pegula being there. If he is attending draft eligible player workouts, what else is he sticking his nose into regarding football operations? I know I know...he is the owner and can do whatever he wants blah blah blah....

    All I can say is the more involved he is, the more this team is f***ed.

    Who cares? Its his team and the QB we draft will likely be the face of the franchise. Its understandable.

  5. There is more evaluating a QB than that. Peyton Manning also threw a flutter ball. The one thing that consistently QBs improve the first few years in the league is arm strength (e.g Carr, Smith, Brady, Eli, Bridgewater, Dalton). Watson can put more strength on his frame so I have no doubt that number will improve. I think his floor is Alex Smith.

    The thing about Manning is that he could put the ball anywhere he wanted with deadly accuracy (at least before he turned into noodle arm). Not sure if Watson can do that all the time.
