Had them at 4th and 7 where a FG doesn't really change anything and he turned it down. I really don't get it. Like really, how is it 7 years in and he can't do the simple things right? All the culture and leadership in the world don't matter if you can't coach the critical moments in close games. Because those moments are what win Super Bowls.

I take back what I said earlier. He hasn't earned a chance next year no matter what happens in the playoffs this year. I mean it's up to Pegula so it's not like it matters what I think. But the critical coaching failures at the end of close games just never stop. We have by far the best QB in the NFL and our coach lets him down constantly. I can't watch it anymore.

Yes and also more time was taken off the clock because of the extra play. McDermott continues to make coaching errors in critical high leverage moments in close gamegames. 8 years and he hasn't gotten any better and once again he ruins an MVP performance from his QB.

Our pass rush just doesnt have it and all our DBs are dropping way back in coverage

At this point I'm rooting for the offense to score just so the defense's performance sticks out that much worse. Maybe Josh's MVP campaign won't take a big hit in that scenario

Of course if is scheme. Stafford has been the best QB in the league against zone this year. I hoped McDermott/Babich would know that and change their tendencies. Stupid me... Hopefully it is just a "we don't want to show our playbook in a regular season game against an NFC opponent" kind of strategy.
