Yeah, just wait until Hammer sells his lot to the Bills for $5m+ and they turn the lot into candy land with disney style parking and it’s no longer what most “Bills Mafia” wants. Then see what happens.

    >>>  "Hey, Hammer, let us hang in your lot!"

<<<  "I don't know, man.  Disney kinda funny..."

    >>>  "We know.  Evabody funny.  Now you funny, too." 🤨

This is exactly the point I’ve been trying to make for years. Again, back when I used to argue with people about how this should have been a downtown stadium or a dome. I would just keep hearing the usual argument of “you take away tailgating, you take away Bills Mafia” type of conversations. I honestly felt like a lot of those people wouldn’t even be attending on a regular basis in the new stadium because the average fan that pays $1k a ticket for a year in the end zones can expect to double or triple their ticket price and then add on a PSL right from the get go and they won’t renew anyway. Of course that doesn’t mean everyone, people will find ways to pay it. But I always said it felt like everything would take a step down in tier in the new stadium. Where you’ll still have your suite/box customers that will continue to stay in their corporate suites. But I always felt like a lot of Club member would take steps down throughout the process. Those that are in the M&T indoor clubs would take a lot of the seats between the 40s in the heated clubs, a lot of those in the current clubs would go for clubs outsides the 40s, and those that are in the lower bowl with great seats would move to the outside clubs or stick with their lower bowl seats. A lot of the current 300/upper deck people will be priced out, as well as a lot of End zone tix holders. A lot of those tix will go to people looking to save money and not triple their tix prices. Etc. That 5,000 person standing only room party deck seems like where many of the lower cost tix holders will end up. Or the corners of the upper decks. Time will tell. Sorry for the rant/ramble, next time I’ll take some breaks and paragraphs.

just see things going very very differently moving forward and so many are going to be very very upset with how it turns out.

OK...so no more actual Bills games, but we're still on for tailgating at Hammer's Lot!

The rest of us proletariat will have to go to the Bills - Jacksonville games in the UK. 🧐

sports tickets sort of are a very small timeshare.  You don't actually own the seat, prices can get hiked without your consent, you get "special assessments" every now and again (PSLs), you can't transfer ownership very easily, etc.

Good snacks at the spiels?  Can-a-peas?

I requested a seating chart showing the PSL pricing breakdown and was told that will only be revealed when STHs meet in person at their appointment at the Bills Stadium Preview Experience where the rep can explain all the payment options.... Really?

Be careful, Porgy!  That sounds like every timeshare spiel I have ever heard! 😳

Wow that is an overpay. Great news for our comp pick formula though.

Ya think so, do ya? 🤨

No offense to OP, but are we going to do a separate thread for every irrelevant signing around the league? Or have one mega-thread for all the news?

    @Simon, @SDS?

Having a happy and healthy Colon is very important.  Perhaps the thread doubles as a PSA? 🤔

I would absolutely pay that all day every day!!! 👍

Can't Beane just go to the classified ads and get an even more used one?  Comes with 20 pairs of cleats? 🤔

  8. Sounds like the cut rate guy who shows up at your wedding reception, and plays lame records.  'Don't Be Cruel' polka, and similar.

Even worse, our in plant credit union had an annual social and dinner at a nice restaurant.  One year they hired one of the design engineers to indulge everyone in his hobby - the accordion.  Complete with the automatic rhythm accompanied. 😳

I disagree entirely. With going behind Belichick*’s back to the owners, all the dirty hits, the sideline tantrums, and his utter lack of support when Zappe was getting his reps— literally pouting and crying on the sideline, I’d say he did them wrong.

Always reminded me of the spoiled rich kid who gets his 'comeuppance' from the regular kids in those old Hollywood movies.

Who in their right mind uses a word like comeuppance anymore?! 🤨

I look at this and laugh at what is available these days. I remember going back to Buffalo for a game decades ago and hitting a convenience store for a water straight from the airport. They had one of those old “preseason football special” magazines that has basically the same content everywhere, but they added an article about your team and put them on the cover.  I thought I had won the lottery.

    Times have changed a bit.

    .

The 'gin mill' my dear old dad used to stop in for a post work beer gave out Kessler whiskey football preview guides.  I can't remember if they covered the pro games, but college ball predictions were compiled by conferences.  Probably put together by a bunch of sportswriters 'liquored up' on free Kessler. 🤔

Hey, when Pops would come home with Slim Jims and the Kessler football guides, it was Christmas in late August. 😁
