  1. Sounds like the cut rate guy who shows up at your wedding reception, and plays lame records.  'Don't Be Cruel' polka, and similar.

Even worse, our in plant credit union had an annual social and dinner at a nice restaurant.  One year they hired one of the design engineers to indulge everyone in his hobby - the accordion.  Complete with the automatic rhythm accompanied. 😳

I disagree entirely. With going behind Belichick*’s back to the owners, all the dirty hits, the sideline tantrums, and his utter lack of support when Zappe was getting his reps— literally pouting and crying on the sideline, I’d say he did them wrong.

Always reminded me of the spoiled rich kid who gets his 'comeuppance' from the regular kids in those old Hollywood movies.

Who in their right mind uses a word like comeuppance anymore?! 🤨

I look at this and laugh at what is available these days. I remember going back to Buffalo for a game decades ago and hitting a convenience store for a water straight from the airport. They had one of those old “preseason football special” magazines that has basically the same content everywhere, but they added an article about your team and put them on the cover.  I thought I had won the lottery.

    Times have changed a bit.

    .

The 'gin mill' my dear old dad used to stop in for a post work beer gave out Kessler whiskey football preview guides.  I can't remember if they covered the pro games, but college ball predictions were compiled by conferences.  Probably put together by a bunch of sportswriters 'liquored up' on free Kessler. 🤔

Hey, when Pops would come home with Slim Jims and the Kessler football guides, it was Christmas in late August. 😁

Mistakes just repeat  until end of document and someone recovering from a stroke is supposed to figure this out.

That's why they're billing you for 'cognitive therapy'.  The mental gymnastics required to figure this out.  It is good to hear that you're getting better.

Tyler Matakevich (big red) is still on Bills roster according to Bills.   Have you seen otherwise?  Checked twitter and usual sources.

He counts against their cap (667k) due to a void year but he's a free agent.  I have no clue what their plans are for him.

I thought the Bills 'Billy Battsed' him.  Check down around Angelica, NY.

No matter what other replies...you win 😁

Half the nonsense I post is based upon 'wrong takes' off a thread title.  Too much 'Goon Show', 'Monty Python's Flying Circus', 'Police Squad', 'Airplane!' in my formative years.

One can say that it’s a small difference,  I was asked in a job interview why I left my last job, I said my contract with the US government expired, I had just gotten out of the Marines, 😂

    But could you have reupped?

An HR director a few years ago asked if I might be back, when I was leaving for a new civil construction project.  "I think I have had enough of you, and I am sure you have had enough of me" was my answer.

Typically people who are fired have done something wrong.

On the other hand, people who are not re-up'd at the end of a contract haven't necessarily done a thing wrong and may have done a decent job with everything that was asked of them - but either the organization wants new blood, or the org has  decided they no longer need that position.

Agreed.  I always thought Russ Brandon was fired, so too those senior Sabres executives a few years ago that were carousing on the town.  Seems more like Shula's contract expired.

Quinton Morris is a bit on the short side, but that's not a concern in my mind...

    That's rather personal. 🤨

Yep. He signed with Washington a couple days ago.

He always wanted a maroon uniform. 🤔
