1. hopefully he can play...  This injury (in the first quarter) would explain his accuracy issues throughout the day.

    531614

This is an easy one. Moulds is returning and just like how some pitchers in baseball like to use one guys as their catcher, Moulds has decided to do the same thing. We will be rotating qb's against Denver when MM calls a pass to Em. :P

What can be used to explain his accuracy the rest of the season though? :P

  2. So the best you have is the Jax game last year, and this year when the Bills have no defense at all?  And Winfield is a better CB?  Sorry but we'll have to agree to disagree.

    531606

    That's cool :P

But I am willing to say Winfield is a better tackler.

Who was our last franchised player? I think it was Fina. It is big thing to do. I . But I am not saying that if that lower cap number is reality, that it wont happen. I am saying if the higher cap number is reality, it wont happen.

  3. How many times did Willis run to the outside this week?

A big difference from last year to this year is where we have been running. I remember a lot of effective runs going outside the tackle last year, along with some stiff arms.

This year it seems as though we are hell bent on running only up the middle.

Is this selective remembering by me or am I right?

    531515

Well I certainly agree with you. Willis seemed to be as good as anyone I have ever seen utilizing the stiff arm. I don't recall going wow, that was awesome at all this year.

  4. No I don't think I am kidding you. If these cap numbers are correct, do you think someone is still lining up to pay him Winfield type money?

Especially after the year he has put forth?

If you are a GM and doing your homework there are some things that would scare you or an owner away from lining up to dump that kind of money on him.

Jacksonville game last year is one, and then when most guys stand tall knowing it's a contract year, he dies on the vine and gets To.rched, Lit Up repeatedly.

Maybe a TD type is lining up for him but imo, his stock has dropped dramatically.

A 6' something 200 poundish corner who can tackle with speed?

Well ya, sometimes and then others he just gets Torched.

  5. There will be no need to franchise him. He's not worth that kind of money. Even the lowered amount.

Nate will not be getting Winfield money, so it will be an interesting process to watch unfold but remember there is a disadvantage to franchi sing someone, we cant do it again for 5 years I think, not sure though.

So we need to save tag for Willis in two years and then trade his sorry ass for who knows what :P

Wow think of all the ways TD could screw this up if given the opportunity. :P

  6. Listening to clips on the radio TD sounds like he is being humble which, we know is not his style at all.

This is either because he has had a miraculous change in personality overnight or he has come to the conclusion that he really will be moving on in a few weeks.

Hey Tom, you really will be moving on in a few weeks. See ya. JERK.

    Crickets...

I agree with this and want to tell anyone touting Flutie for anything, Crickets...Crickets...Crickets...Crickets...Crickets...Crickets...Crickets...Crickets...

Although he was great in the CFL wasn't he? Why yes! But who cares? Not even Canadians care!! Crickets...Crickets...Crickets...Crickets...Crickets...Crickets...Crickets...Crickets...And they care about all the little things in the world!!

    More crickets!!!

  8. Great, a healthy player is better than a guy with a bad high ankle sprain and some other nagging injuries.  :P

He'll be fine for his new team.  Chances are he won't be here due to his salary, but he'll play elsewhere.

    OK, I will begin here:

I have been a big supporter of Mike. I was giddy when we drafted him!

But as I mentioned in a different thread I was also jumping for joy when we went and got Drew! Howd that work out for us?

I think JJ is a great OL but he had a history of high ankle sprains and some other nagging injuries didn't he? :)

Money is money man and you have to spend it appropiately. TD has decided many players aren't worth what they want. JJ and Winfield come to mind right off the top. And he was right on those calls. Yes I said TD did something right!

Why do you draw an exception for MW and not JJ???? Or maybe you did but JJ is just not todays news?

Rueben has been fine for his new team also. Although unlike so many superficial athletes, Rueben actually cared about us and our community and continues to do so by coming back here annualy long after he is gone.

Hmmmmmmmmm, are we starting to see a trend here? Your boy chases our boys out of here so I would expect that you would expect MW to be leaving.

    WTF?????

Our welll repsected and world reknown OL coach cant help him? Sure as hell makes me think that qualiefies him as a BUST.

Rueben, Moulds, Shaw, Adams probably, JJ, Pat Williams, Winfield etc. etc. etc.

And here you are lucky guy hitting free agency and TD calls you and asks you if you want to be a part of this fine organization?

Ya you're right Mike will probably be a star somewhere. But I doubt it will be in the NFL. Too bad, I liked him. I thought he had great quickness and extremely fast feet for a big man. Too bad. Although like Flutie, he may make a great CFL player :D

    Next?

Oh and if he's not here due to his salary, yet again shame on TD for that situation. It's his guy isn't it?

  9. Except that TD was perceived to have been very successful with the Steelers on the field (something that is disputable, but it is fact that he was considered a success there) and has definitely been a success off the field with the Bills...he is also very well connected in the NFL circles...his manuver with Peerless Price's free agency has now become the norm, it was bold at the time...look around at all of the perenial crap teams in the NFL...there is evidence that there are owners who are willing to field a less than stellar team, if they are making money...

Thing is, at least in my mind, he probably would have replaced Cowher with Mularkey if he had won his battle.

Where would they be if that scenario develeoped? I think indisbuteably far worse off than they are now. Hell, if he had won the power struggle in Pittsburgh, maybe they would not have made the playoffs for the last five years and we would have :w00t:

He has had some nice moves that I shouted out loud about! Like when he got Bledsoe and I said, ya baby here we go! I am an idiot though :)

He is not allowed to make these types of blunders.

For every hit he has, he has a strikeout. I called big Mike Williams a bust before the season even started, and where is he now?

I'm sorry but you can't make that mistake. And should he stay on the job what are we likely to end up with as our first pick? It should be a guaranteed home run.

I don't trust him this time, do you?

By the way, can you believe MM called the play that we snap the ball to Roscoe and have him throw it for three yards?

That may be the move that pushed Moulds over the edge. That was a joke call by

dah nah nuh nuh inspector gadget da nah nuh nuh :w00t:

And lastly I will never forget that TD is,

    The Son Of Satan!

    :D:P:lol:

  10. Did you look up sacks taken per pass attempt?  :P

That would probably rank worst in team history.  Rob Johnson did not know how to throw the ball away in the face of pressure.  As a result, he took sacks rather than throw interceptions.

And the most important stat?  Wins.  Look at their win-loss records.

    526701

Did you look up most batted down balls in history by a quarterback? :D Me either but I bet Doug wins!

Most important stat? We haven't been in a playoff game since then!

  11. I think that they would have to take a look at him.  He isn't an abysmal GM (see: Matt Millen), but I think "highly regarded" is just a bit too much.

Or to put it another way, if the Titans are foolish enough to fire Jeff Fisher, I think that he could pretty much pick whatever opening he wants.  I don't think TD will be in that category.... he has a track record now of either being at cross-purposes with his head coach (Cowher) or else hiring weak and ineffectual coaces (Williams and Mularkey.)

    JDG

    526235

This is a terrifc response JDG, and buftex, it's not long that if you are a success everywhere but on the field, you will be a non success everywhere else soon enough.

  12. And just like the fans, he knows absolutely nothing about what really is going on, and yet is willing to stand in judgement of people regardless of this fact.

    TD Sucks!

    MM Sucks!

    EM Sucks!

How is it that so many people are convinced that certain people suck when absolutely NONE of them have any idea what really happened?

    525557

Yes, those guys certainly do suck and have and are proving it.

However, like him or not, I'm sure Jerry has more of an idea than a lot of people do.

When you say NONE of them have any idea I find that hard to believe. SOME of them were actually there and saw what and maybe even heard what happened.
