1. I love how whacko Sam is. Always have. I wish his vocal cords were better but then if they were, we wouldn't have him and his unique words of wisdom such as this:

"He's definitely on track," Wyche said. "Sometimes you get into a car and you and you go somewhere and say, 'I don't know where I'm going, but I'm making good time.' Well, he's making good time, and he knows where he's going, too."

    Typical Wyche

Here is the whole article. It is an interesting read. I like the bar thing at school.

  2. For anyone who wishes to keep bringing up Ruben Brown's and Coy Wire's shows on WGR to disprove this, I'd be mightily surprised to find out either player did said show free of charge.

You must be referring to me. Hey that's great! Recognition incognito

Anyway, I would challenge you to show me any unpaid athlete doing a talk show on any radio or tv station regardless of whether they are friendly to the team or not.

  3. I used to listen to NPR when the other 3 were on in the morning and excpet for a few minutes each morning lately I am completely drifting back in that direction.

For Buffalo sports radio its very sad.

I used to listen to the other 3 and now spend a lot of listening to NPR.

Too bad they don't do sports huh? ;)

  4. It's not just Dickerson, but there's a grudge there allright. And as long as certain on-air hosts continue to rant about One Bills Drive, it's not likely to end any time soon. (Somebody might want to pass that information along to Mr. Schopp - right now he's part of the problem, not the solution....)

Are they that thin skinned down there at One Bills Drive?

Are they that petty down there at One Bills Drive?

Are they really trying so hard to be so all controlling of everything including people's individual thoughts? :flirt:

Oops nevermind, I hear then coming for me now. :P

They need to get over themselves. Maybe it's an edict issued from Ralph after Chuck was canned that forever more WGR shall not be entitled to access at One Bills Drive. I'm sure they hate Ruben for coming on GR, doing a regular show and gasp! :P speaking his mind and telling it like it is. er, was.

Conversley I'm sure they don't give a rats ass about the Coy Wire show because, well, he isn't or a'int about to do anything other than tow the company line. ;)

When Schopp speaks about these issues I for one tend to agree with him.

Of course I liked Puff, Bob and Kevin. Chuck, Bob Mcowan and highest of the almighty, Grapes, Don Cherry! ;)

So maybe I like pickin on the snobs. So be it!

  5. Well it looks to me based on the link provided that GR's ratings have in fact gone up.

Thanks for the link Dan and Anders.

But I go against the ratings increase. Unless there is Bills news, I will not be listening to GR's morning drive.

One mans garbage is another mans treasure I guess.

My garbage, Bob, Puff and Kevin wasn't good enough for them and their garbage of Howard and Jerremy isn't good enough for me.

I disagree again, that management is directing the style of the show. I think they are given a lot of free rein.

  6. I believe the demise of Howard is of his own doing. Not management.

I believe the demise of the very entertaining crew that he replaced, was of managements doing.

You all hated Puff and Bob and Kevin, but you all enjoyed Howard so much. Got what you wanted now?

I say Howard is running his own show based on the feedback I get from station managements replies to my complaints.

Initially about throwing away a morning show that was very entertaining and then replacing him with Howard who makes me yawn and now, makes me not listen to morning drive on GR anymore.

Much like a lot of you.

I would love to see where their ratings are right now or a month from now compared to what they were when they replaced my guys because of low ratings.

Can anyone tell me where to see that?

  7. Um, I really don't think Willis needs a mentor. He is getting old ya know :-)

I am banking on a stud like 1600 + yards from him this year.

With or without Eddie George, Travis Henry, Shaud Williams, Garrison Hearst or anyone else they use to relieve him.

  8. 3 if you're that irritated just don't cheer for the bills.  in fact i really don't want to read your garbage on this board.  if its so bad leave.

    316278

Wow now there's genius. So if you get irritated with your team you should quit cheering for them? Me, I call that bandwagoning and I really hate bandwagoners.

If you dont want to read garbage on the board, why are you reading the board?

Were you compelled to read? Take your own advice,

    "if it's so bad leave"

    See ya!

  9. Wow. I didn't realize it's wrong to critisize a GM who's genius hasn't put in the playoffs for a very long time.

Nevermind. I take it all back. TD is awesome. I love the way manipulates people and press alike.

I dunno, maybe another year of missing the playoffs and then he becomes an embarassment?

I sure like the contract position he's in right now.

You people who don't dare critisize him are surely Flutie lovers.

  10. With all the bitchin goin on about what we drafted, and the fact we STILL have Travis (although I expect that will change on day 2) perish the thought but, since TD's own contract has not been extended, is he calling a mulligan until he gets his own deal?

    Stupid though I know.

But so you know what side of the fence I sit on, I wanted to move Travis last year.

Back when he was legitimately worth something.

I would also have seriously looked hard at trading Nate now.

I think we are going to lose TH and Nate at the end of their terms for nothing.

And it won't suprise me to hear TD say he cant afford to franchise Nate due to the constrictions of the rule. Because he will have to possibly save it and use it on another player.

I think we could have done better, although it's not over yet.

I am banking on JP being great. But I have that uneasy feeling about him. I just don't see the maturity that will be required to lead the group.

And lastly, at the end of the day for all his hot air and self promotion, how many times have we made the playoffs under TD?

Yes indeed there are reasons for concern.

P.S. goodbye Josh Reed, another wasted draft pick.

  11. And if anyone doubts that, ask yourselves why very, very few current Bills employees appear on the WGR airwaves. Apparently, even with the coaching/front office turnover the last few seasons, the Glenn Parker episode still resonates in the halls of One Bills Drive....

    309618

I guess Rueben Brown must have really hated the Bills organization and Porky Parker becuase he sure as hell was on GR for a long time. Of course Rueben wasn't a phony and wasn't thin skinned which of course cost him in the end. Getting upset about losing and bad play calling and we I mean he, ships him out of here. Too bad.

  12. Ah Peter King yes indeed. A fountain of misinformation if I ever did see one.

I think he's a blowhard and thinking back to the first quarter of last season offered gems such as: I'm positive the bills will get a first round pick for Travis.

There was much more misinfo, but that one still rings in my ears.

I will look at draft board and take your $20

Now if you want to go because it includes dinner and a movie, well, that's different

    Ha :D

  13. Jeez what a site this is. peoples fathers dying and people getting divorced!

I have had to deal with both of these issues so I have already offered up on the bereavement thread and now this.

Speaking from my own experience, I would tell you this is most important especially having had a friend go through a divorce recently and do exactly the opposite of what I did.

You must be comfortable being alone.

Once you are happy with yourself, you can move on. If not you are only asking for more trouble and heartache.

In the short term though, like someone said earlier in this thread, hit The Sundowner :D

If that doesn't make you happy, forget it!
