the steelers played renegade and allen immediately hit the deep ball.  Ive seen so many teams lose it in that moment when the crowd is all amped up.

I heard on One Bills Live last week that the Bills were playing Renegade at practice in an attempt to get them acclimated the atmosphere at Heinz field.  Seemed to do the trick and  pumped us up more than the Steelers.

The entire thing is crazy.  Putting in for medical equipment they are not getting.  Bad Karma - plus it could cost future players as the fraud could force the insurance pool to lose its tax exempt status.

Hard to fathom with the amount of money some players make that they have to stoop to this level to get money.

I hope there is a better explanation out there, but it is such bad optics.

It’s not how much you make, it’s how much you spend.

That is just so childish and wrong..... Act like grown ups.

At the Packers game a couple years ago I kept hearing “welcome to Wisconsin” as I wore my Bills gear around town. I gained some respect for them. Nasty drunks deserve a place behind bars till they get over it.

Yeah!!  Lock up the guys who say mean things!!  You sound like a huge Sally here Augie.  If you can’t give and take verbal jabs regarding whose colors you’re wearing regardless of the stadium you are at, then you need to get some skin thicker than tissue paper my man.

This is almost exactly like what I hear incompetent marketing people say as I wonder how they have a job. Anyone can read Wikipedia to get population figures.

Marketing is about determination of those with likelihood to chose your product and reaching them.

The market size for a nfl  Game is likely viewers, not everyone with a pulse. London has 9 million people so is the idea that is a 9 million person market for the nfl?  No.

I included the definition of demographics for you, since you first feel as though it’s necessary to insult me, and second must lack basic reading comprehension skills.  Nowhere did I say population=market.

thus one would base the market on demographics and other variables(climate, other professional sports etc).

How do you get population=market from my quote above??  If everyone was as incompetent as I the world would be a much better and more wealthy place.

If marketing people are doing their job, the market size equals the draw.

In other words market size should be population likely to watch the game, or target audience...not number of bodies living in the region.

This simply is not true, you can’t poll a large enough sample size to accurately gauge those likely to watch, thus one would base the market on demographics and other variables(climate, other professional sports etc). If you’re trying to say that based on demographics GB or Buffalo has a larger market than LA I don’t know what to tell you.

Marketing departments can only do so much, a lot has to do with the product on the field.  You can’t really market a turd sandwich, which is why Russ Brandon was regarded as a marketing genius...until he played grab ass with the wrong assistant.

Oh i dont know the second and sixth largest markets.

Market size isn’t the deciding factor, market saturation or the % of the market that watches/attends games is what matters.  LA is the largest market, and can’t sell out or get local engagement from the market.  Green Bay, Pittsburg, and Buffalo are three of the smallest markets And would never get prime time games if the networks/NFL based their scheduling on market size.

Market size is irrelevant in the NFL. Teams that draw are all that matter. The Packers are by far the smallest market and a big draw. The Steelers are in a small market and a massive draw. The Bills just drew the highest regular season ratings in 3 years. I know football is still new to Pats fans but you have some learning to do.

    Great minds and whatnot, haha

I didn't get Tasker saying "I saw him come in as a fat, arrogant rookie" or something close to that.....................Tasker wasn't on the team until Bruce had already played a year and a half for the Bills??

I think he meant come into the league, and being the #1 overall pick I’m sure people were watching/reporting about him on all the other teams.

  8. Does anyone know who votes for the all time 100 team?  I ask because both Bruce Smith and Reggie white were not unanimous, which is insane to me.  I also don’t understand the crazy amount of love and knob polishing for LT.  Was he extremely  talented? Yes.  What I don’t understand is how people don’t confront him about his admitted pre/in game drug use.  You have to discount his numbers or at the very least add an disclaimer.  Of corse Belichick thinks he’s the best defensive player ever, he cheated to gain an unfair advantage and never got caught/punished.  Bruce has more tackles and of corse sacks.  Just NYC players getting all the fawning and adoration while The greatest Bill of all time gets a blip.  Dumb

I’m sure Sean quickly praised Shaq In the locker room for talking trash after the game

Ehhh, probably wasn’t too quick, I’m sure he waited until after his speech and whatnot ?.  But honestly I’d wager the conversation went something like “way to play today Shaq, you showed restraint during the game. Now let’s just work on letting that trash talk roll off you like water off a ducks back”. Can we agree his actions are an improvement over previous years when he would have picked up a few personal fouls in game?

This isn’t a ringing endorsement as a McD process kinda guy. It’ll be interesting to see how they approach re-signing him

I see this the exact opposite of you.  This is the perfect example of a process guy.  Gets insults/smack talk thrown at you all game, proceed to play lights out and tally up some sacks with no penalties, call the chump out after the game.  This to me is how you want your players to react to on field taunts/jawing.  Ball out with no reaction/penalties between the lines and let him know post game that he’s a loser.

Nah, that’s not it. Go to any other NFL stadium and the shortcomings of NEF are glaring. Just went to MIA game ( stadium not even that new ) and it puts ours to shame. Wide concourses, clean accessible bathrooms with plenty of space to get in and out AND get food at the concessions all in time to get back to your seat for the second half. At a Bills game, leaving your seat begins a long journey. The concourses are too narrow and you’re smothered at all times, walking with baby steps to get anywhere. It’s about comfort, not gimmicks. Of course, a covered stadium is needed in the terrible WNY weather.

I don’t know WTH you are rambling on about with your issues with New Era.  You can’t access a bathroom at the stadium and when you do it’s not clean/doesn’t have big enough entryways??  Hogwash man, you’re just finding something to complain about.  I was there for the Washington game with my 5 year old and wife. We had no issues with the width of the concourse or the concessions.  At halftime I was able to take a 5 YO to the bathroom, get two beers and food from two different vendors and missed 1:30 of the 3rd quarter.

    couple of things

    1) He would be totally fine in Hammers, just prolly pretty bored.

    2) if you wanted to park there, prolly have to be there by 8:30 that game

    3) My suggestion would be park somewhere else, wa;k over to the TBD tailgate in Hammers and have a beverage and break dome bread with the crew there( i will not be there that game)..and then walk over to the field house where they have stuff for kids to do!

    4) @BritBill just brought his 8 year old to a game, have a feeling he has a much better sense of this then I do LOL

11 sounds about right to me. Route is totally dependant on when you leave. Waze is always gunna take through DC, and that a no no on a weekeday. That when ya need to cut up 17 to 66 and over to 81...and head up through central PA and 219. Saturday early morning DC route the way to go

We had a fantastic time and with no problems at all.

We met a few of the TBD guys (including @plenzmd1) at Hammers for a catch up before the game. I wouldn't hesitate in taking a child to tailgate where they were set up.

In the stadium itself we got tickets in the one of the no alcohol section on level two. There were children in there much younger than my son. The atmosphere was terrific and we never, ever felt uncomfortable in anyway.

    I'm sure you'll all have a great time @Dirtyd415

Many thanks to the both of you!  Will probably do as suggested and park elsewhere and hike over the Hammer’s.  Out tickets are first row section 123 end zone, does anyone know what time warm ups generally start/when the gates open?  My son is really hoping someone tosses him a souvenir, haha.

  13. I’m also making the trek to the Washington game.  Coming from the Scranton area and bringing  along the wife and 5yo son.  i haven’t been to the Ralph in  about 15 years, what are your thoughts on Hammers lot for a 5 yo? We don’t care if he sees people shotgunning and chugging, just don’t want to deal with people falling and vomiting on him.  The wife likes the idea of separate port-a-potties, hahaha. Also are ez-up style tents permitted at either Hammer’s or bills lots?
