Well with my grading seeing they went WR I had AT Perry and Elijah Higgins graded higher. -

Because I just think at this point with the help he needs with Routes and all. I think it is an uphill climb with what we have. That’s all. He could come in and shine. Just trying to project what I saw in him to Bills to give everyone a little insight. -

He did have a private workout with Bills too. He just mentioned it on WGR. -

He fits a specific trait. Kumerow did Hodgins Did. Beane has said they look for mismatches. What is missing in this group right now is that 6’3 220 WR. I figured one was coming. I just had higher prospects than him at this point. -

He likely won’t make the 53. But could a position switch be in the cards??? There could be ability with a year on PS to transition into a pass catching Flex TE. -

My own analysis of watching him in draft prep. That is where I read it from. -

This is what you want your team doing. Draft elite traits in late rounds. ELITE Size and Speed WR his weaknesses can be coaches out. My only question is can enough route running coaching give him the tools not to gear down and lose the Seperation he did gain. -

This fits what I see. Needs to gear down to get in and out of breaks or routes get really rounded. -

Big Body with nice hands smooth in transitions and smooth running. Gears down going into breaks and takes a bit coming out of them. Massive Questions on ability to separate. contested catch and 50/50 ball WR. He wins those most times. Decent speed for size. plays to his size. Will use his body to shield defenders good at finding holes in Zones my grade was 6th rounder with biggest thing I have written alot can he separate. questions. think a more athletic Kumerow here. I have better six speed candidates on my list. -
This might not make you too happy. I have him as a 4th round grade and he is the 4th best WR on my list of best available. The 4 higher than him are Hutchinson Wicks Palmer So If my grading is close he should be long gone before the 5th. And my grade would support taking him with our 5th. Fits that Size Speed want. I didnt list him because I think he goes in the top end of the 4th round.

Agree. I am just pointing out why those single position only players tend to get pushed down boards. When you are using a top pick it is easier hedging risk. very very rarely (specially in the IOL) will you see a OG only get drafted in the 1st. That is by no means a nock on Torrence I have him projected at a 10 year pro with all-pro potential. So I absolutely will spend a late first on that, and OBVIOUSLY a late second in a heartbeat. It is risk management with certain positions like IOL is all and how it affects grading sometimes.

I do want if they draft a WR at 137 be a size speed guy. I think Hutchinson will be gone. But an A.T Perry at 6'4 200 with 4.4 speed grades out right there in my list.

I agree in terms of just getting to the 90 there will be more added in WR. Now looking at the 53 this is how I see it right now (will take 6) Diggs - Lock Harty - On the Roster this year Min Shakir - Lock Davis - Lock So Need 2 for the 53. Sherfield likely one (but contract can move on from) A Hopkins Trade fixes that 53 gap. That is why I really think Not Drafting one in this draft early means they will be all in on a post draft trade.

I think they will add a DT (i think they are targeting that position group in the draft. )

The Battle of a lifetime: Klein, Spector, Dodson, Bernard, Williams
MAJBobby replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ahhh. I have to go back and watch, to be able to talk specifics. However what I will say with Dodson is when he has to come in and relieve Edmunds with an In Game Injury he has struggled. When he has played with an entire week of practice knowing he is starting he has played well in the position. That is telling me he is a practice player, he NEEDS the practice reps. Some can step right in and perform fine with the limited in week work. Watching him it seems he is ALWAYS better when he has the reps knowing he is starting. -
In todays NFL and Roster constraints, Ideally your IOL prospects are OG/OC or OG/OT (Specially if you are talking in round 1). So just being an OG will hurt value, but I do think that sometimes when you are looking at a potential Pro-Bowl to All-Pro OG I dont care if he ONLY plays OG. because he will NEVER move from this position. But in terms of draft grading yes that position flexibility or lack there of will push you down boards.

What McDermott Demands from his MIKE. I think the right progression in the LBer corp for non blue chip prospects is learn the Defense from the Outside, and grow into the Mike. So it would somewhat make sense with your Rooks to start outside and come in. SO I agree with you the starting mike as Constructed is likely out of Dodson and Klein. with Bernard and Spector having that shot as well. End of the day I think there could be a scheme and matchup specific LBer rotation with all of them BUT Milano (he stays on the field 100%) -
OMG I am right there with you. With my reactions to Kincaid and Torrance with First bumping my shoulder IS KILLING me today. Getting more experience in age SUCKS I really hope Doyle is Healthy for a solid camp competition. I would like him starting over Brown. I always thought the Doyle upside was better than Browns.

He is on Bills roster according to BB.com and Spotrac -
The 5th COULD be a great move down spot, depending on what comes out of the 5th. One thing with no WR in rounds 1-3 I think the Hopkins thing is still alive, that ONLY goes away with a pick in rounds 1-3 which we didnt do. I am good passing on all RBs and just filling your want in UDFA (granted I hate draft picks on RBs so there is that Bias). That 5th could be a way to get back another 2 picks to Draft the player instead of fighting with the other 31 for a UDFA. Could slide from where we are in the 5th and get mulitple picks to have your choice at those future PS guys. We are in a point in the Bills roster that every year round 4 and beyond players could very well get cut after camp and not make this team (WHICH IS A GOOD THING, to have a roster like that. Ideally those cheap rookies push off the 1-3M Vet, But that is where the bills are talent wise)

IF AJ KLEIN is the Starter the middle of the defense is going to have a problem. Ideally the starting three are (without seeing how Bernard and Spector have grown this offseason) Milano Dodson Bernard -
Yeah and Add in the experience on playing with and blocking for an offscript extend play QB and realizing NOT to hold, Just that along Upgrades Saffold. and Blocking for an Allen type, Mahomes Type, Lamar type is REALLY hard to keep from committing penalties. It will be so nice (hopefully) seeing Allen not have to deal with immediate pressure in his face again.
-
Yes a QB is coming in UDFA either as a signing or as a Try out. They will need to in order to throw at Rookie Camp.

If I use Daniel J. rankings (more should listen to him, he is EXCELLENT at what he does) and I have him as the top guy I listen to when talking prospects. we got the 9th best player at 25 and the 30th best player at 59. And the 119th best player at 91 Bills Draft is LOADED with Value

I think the OL is in a slight transition. Last year their lack of POWER in the interior was evident. Basic OL Build thinking your left side is your Finesse and move side, your Right is your Power Side (Historical thinking) So I think they are looking to get more power inside to deal with the Jones, Wilkins, Donalds. Our Interior was pushed around ALOT last year. That has was the issue with the OL. And they are looking to address it. Torrence can get better laterally once in a NFL weight room and change his body a bit. I think he plays 10 lbs too heavy.
