They sure did. They were part of a 13 win TEAM The issues were in his change of direction. Which doesn’t show up on tape. I think it likely has to do with his workout regimen and weight he put on during his opt out year. Get him in Bills Strength and Conditioning and I think that stiffness goes away. @DrPJax

My Notes on him, should have posted right after the pick, but I was beat and it was a long day Explosive off the edge (can still improve), can move inside situationally and dominate OGs with athleticism, Bends well and plays with good pad level for being so long, Not a contact and stop player still moves, good change of direction. effective Bull Rush. Very raw, doest have a rush plan and no counter moves, relied on his length and athleticism. Can get controlled easy specially getting into legs. Relentless pursuit and plays in the backfield, was good in setting the edge against the run for the most part, needs to improve in the NFL. Pure Natural Passrusher with high ceiling. Needs to learn hand fighting skills, to often will not break OL hands and re-establish. Projects - Situational Pass Rusher initially full time EDGE with a 10-15 sack projection per year if he develops his counters and plans.

I am more of a fan of Rousseaus that Epenesa. I think with Rousseau you are getting a kid that would likely have been talked about as the best DE (in a very bad DE class) if he didn’t opt out. So yea I do think he can replace Hughes. this is a good football player with room to really grow. Depends if Bills can get him developed

Very solid pick. Beane timed the DE run correct with Two going right after. 15.5 sacks yeah I will take that. Was going to go much higher before bad workout. And was the 3rd best player left on my board. Should have been gone before 30.

And I trust the coaching staff, nutritionists and such to get him back in football shape and coached up. He is a solid Edge and would have likely been higher if not for the poor workout. My 3rd best on the board.
