We had to have our beloved 14-year old cat (see my avatar) euthanized last year. We were invited to witness the process, much to my surprise.
They gave him the injection, which made him drowsy. We were able to pet him, and say our goodbyes.
My wife had been very close to this cat. She mistakenly petted him where he had received the injection, and he hissed at her. It was a cruel twist in an otherwise peaceful moment.
Witnessing the event can help to bring closure for the family.

Marrone and Hackett certainly blew that 4th quarter. Good God, don't these people understand clock management?!?
And leaving extra time for Brady??? St Doug, you are a thick-headed boob.

Yes, IIRC Gilligans was owned by the guy who owned the Inferno in glen park Williamsville. He opened it after the Inferno burned down ( arson?). He was well connected in the booking of up and coming artists. In particular acts playing in NYC and then touring waiting for their break, a lot of them from across the pond. . For awhile at the Inferno Leslie West and the Vagrants were a house band there. Pre Mountain fame. When he opened Gilligans the list of up and coming artists playing there was huge.
Cactus was almost a house band but in reality the Twiggs actually were (later called the Magic Ring). The Bob Seeger system, Canned Heat, Amboy Dukes, Wilmer & the Dukes , Johnny Winter, Butterfield, Chicago, etc. Were huge weekend draws. And for most all pre fame.
The Bob Seger System played an incredible show in Dec 68. It was at a place called Psycus (IIRC), an old theater on Seneca Street (probably).
A power trio with Bob playing guitar. Pep Perrine had some weird tubular drum amplifiers (or whatever). I was disappointed when they augmented the System with organ and another guitarist.
Did anyone here see that amazing show?

I recorded the game, but could only stomach a few series. Then I just deleted it.
And then I decided I would not watch the Super Bowl if the Cheaters are in it. It will be hard to actually skip it, but I hope to do that.

Wasn't this place called Gilligan's before it was Uncle Sam's?
I saw Golden Earring and Cat Mother & All Night Newsboys there. I think it was still Gilligan's for those shows.

How Wade Phillips let Ralph Wilson convince him to start Rob Johnson in that playoff game against Tennessee? Like come on Wade, Doug played the entire season and you let the owner see one good, but meaningless game control your coaching decisions?
And I still don't know how friggin' Truman beat Dewey!

I think they should keep the name Redskins, but change the logo to a Virginia Redskin Peanut.
Then they might only insult those who farm the other kinds of peanuts.

It wasn't just Taylor but he didn't do enough. Just kills me how this team beats itself.
And now, with Eric Lee kicking our ass, the Pats* are beating us with our own players!
It's a shame our staff did not realize Eric Lee's talent, or could not develop/utilize it.

What Denver pick? We have KC's 1st round pick.

This is exactly the image that came to my mind.

God bless Logan and his family. May they find peace and recover from this tragic event.
My daughter recently lost a baby who had lived a few days. Sometimes It is hard to figure what God is thinking.

Very underrated comedy classic.
I saw that movie once..... ONCE.

It is 6 weeks after yoy give a guy an injury settlement before you can re-sign them. That period is now up. The Bills are free to sign Streater if they wish.
There was a recent article (sorry, forgot where it was, perhaps WGR or WKBW sites) which stated Streater could rejoin the Bills around Thanksgiving time frame.
It was talking about when exactly that 6 week period begins. It was not 6 weeks from his release date, though, as we would normally expect.

And now Eric has a New Fan in me.
whats his number?
The roster says 75

I actually watched the game with no sound and listened to an audio book for my class.
Good idea! Beth's voice is painful to listen to, and Rex adds very little to the broadcast.
Rex ought to be sued for grand larceny (stealing $$$ from Bills).

If you have made it as far north as the Charlotte area, there is a Bills bar at Exit 25 of I-77:
Taste of Buffalo Pizzeria
9610 Sherrill Estates Rd
Huntersville, NC 28078This is a few miles North of Charlotte.

Is the front office just yanking Rodak's chain with this one? Feeding him a bogus name just to see if he will post it?

Dez?
If Dez were 6'1, he'd be working on his next career by now. Being 6'4' has kept him working for a couple years IMO.

That leaves South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana as "the south."
Oops, you forgot to include South Dakota in the list.
Sorry, Kirby. I was just having some fun with this off-topic discussion.

A couple of things:
- Beane got in the life boat on the Titanic instead of playing as the ship was going down. He's basically Kool & the Gang from Steve Harvey's set in Original Kings of Comesy. That's a good decision.
- Secondly someone wondered if he'd go back to Carolina because he lived in the South his whole life. North Carolina isn't the south it's the Mid-Atlantic at best. Here's a quick guide to determining, "is that the South?" If the state university plays in the SEC it's a yes with a couple of exceptions. Kentucky is too far north, Missouri is too far mid-west and Florida is its own little world. Texas functions like Florida. That leaves South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana as "the south."
Besides North Carolina's name has north in it. It isn't a part of the south.

Sorry, Kirby, but that is a pretty goofy assessment of "What is the South". Based on SEC or not? Duh.
I have been living in NC for 2+ years now, and it is definitely "the South" despite all the Northern transplants due to jobs here.
Missouri is "the South without the hospitality".

They aired it on ESPN News for some reason
Thanks for that. I will have to check in at game time to make sure it is on the channel listed.
James Wilder Jr. looked good for the Argos until he fumbled late in the game.
After looking great against Hamilton, the Argos looked pretty average against the BC Lions.

I had recorded the scheduled Winnipeg @ Sask game - big Canada Day celebration and brand new Sask stadium, but when I played it, there was a college baseball home run derby. What a ripoff from ESPN.
Fargin' bastage ESPN.
