I think they may be the best Coach/GM pairing in the league. And even if not the best now, perhaps the best YOUNG coach/GM combo - a band that could play together a long time. Adding people like Dan Morgan only helps (quality people giving us a real football infrastructure).
It is a little early in their tenure to anoint them among the best, but it is very exciting to see a Bills HC/GM combo designed and built to work in harmony.
How could you do business any other way? Well... the Bills have tried it the other way for the previous 20 years or so.
I love McDermott and Beane as the guys running the Bills. God bless them.

I already cheer for the Big Red. As NFL Historians know, they used to be based in St Louis Back in Da Day, and they went to the Super Bowl with Kurt Warner.
Well not quite, Hapless.
That was the St Louis Rams with Kurt Warner going to the super bowl. The Cards left St Louis long before that.

Allen would have been gone at #10 to Arizona, or does that bit of history change in your scenario.

Garbage pick to end a garbage draft. Very unimpressed.

Not really. I hope he will soon pick an adult name, like ummm, Ray or Raymond perhaps.

I like Allen and I am worried how he is going to be treated by fans who disagree with Mayock going forward but at the same time, I think it is unfair to label all of Allen's detractors as people who haven't done the research. Plenty have and just plain disagree. So it goes. What concerns me is that people are so wedded to their opinions that they just aren't going to get past this and will never give Allen a fair shake. Accusing them of being lazy in their research probably isn't going to help them reboot and clear all the bad feelings they have about this pick.
Maybe all of the Rosen devotees can get some AZ Cardinals gear and start cheering for the big red.
So many experts on this board...

I will be very happy if they draft Josh Allen, even trading up.
There can be NO COMPARISON with EJ Manuel.

So don't expect "normal" weather any time soon.

Not saying it was aliens, but it was aliens.
Or perhaps it was Friday the 13th related...

Wow, people actually buy hats for the draft?!
Money to burn, I guess.

I think you are living in the past, in the world where subpar GMs were making the Bills' decisions.
I believe we are in good competent hands now with McDermott and Beane at the helm.

The concerns in some cities are he is not "blue collar" enough. What does this mean in a QB setting???
I think the concerns with Rosen are that he would not be the first player to show up in the morning, and last one to leave at night, as is somewhat expected from a "franchise QB". I believe that is the root of the "not blue collar enough" complaint.
There is a poster from New Zealand, sort of in your neighborhood. His name is "Bad Things" or something like that.

You must be new. Check out our draft history over the last 20 years and try to catch up to the rest of us
You need to stop living in the past era of subpar Bills drafts.
We now have a competent GM and HC in the house. I am excited to see who they select this year.

RB Tim Tindale, the Canadian Comet!, for his TD in the playoff game vs Miami, which was Don Shula's last game.
In that game, Thurman knocked down the Fins DC Tom Olivadotti on the sidelines, as the Bills offense was steamrolling the Fins D.

UDFA QB Joe Dufek, from an Ivy League school, who played special teams.

I just retired, so I finally have the time to watch stuff like this.
I think it is a pretty cool treasure hunt. The payoff is potentially huge (not just $2 million, as someone posted). If it turns out to be the holy grail and similar artifacts, it would be historic.

I kinda like the scene from Liar Liar when Jim Carrey beats himself up in the bathroom. Honorable mention at least.
Hah! This is the scene I thought of, too.
Someone asks what he is doing - he says "I'm kicking my ass"
Great movie

Hey Ice Bowl, you may have seen the thread about folks not watching the game because, well, you know, Patriots*
I skipped the game but accidentally caught the last 2 minutes.
It is GLORIOUS to see the evil empire (Brady-chek) on the losing end of a super bowl. It sure made me happy.
I usually enjoy watching Packers games but I lost interest this year once Aaron went down. That was a real shame for you guys.
Are you one of the Packers owners? I knew some folks who had their Pack ownership certificate hanging up in their living room.
-
I tuned in once I thought the game was over, but 2 minutes were left, so I watched the last 1:56 of the game.
-
Normally, I watch it every year. This year, I am so sick of the Pats*, I did not watch the game. Did not even record it.
I saw the last 2 minutes, though, waiting for the late news.
God bless the Eagles for defeating the evil empire.
