Calgon, take me away.  Seriously, I don't pull for the antagonist much at all but I did like Homer Bedloe played by the great Charles Lane.

I always loved Charles Lane's mean guy characters. Going back to Dennis The Menace and beyond.

Holy cow - look at his IMDB page for a litany of 50s and 60s TV shows. It's a fun read.

Nothing says metal like a flute........

I would have voted for his earlier hit, the theme from "Troy and Abed in the morning" over this one.

I think this may have been the Grammys trying to make peace with him and Drake and whomever else decided to sit out performing because "the academy is not diverse enough"

Are you seriously thinking Jethro Tull is heavy metal?  You need some educatin', boy.

Sorry, apuz, I just saw that the Grammy idiots voted Tull as best heavy metal band. Do those knuckleheads even listen to the music???

Edit. The number of posters who don't seem to understand this concept is startling. I'm sure they're terrific people, but c'mon man!

I think that situation has only happened once, in the Osweiler to Browns deal.

So, perhaps it is understandable that many people here do not grasp the concept you speak of.

  4. My wife and I still watch it. Way back when, we wouldn't let our son watch it. He was always seemed to be visiting his friend's house on Sunday evening, though...

It is running short of ideas after 30 years, but there are still a few gems - golden moments if not great whole episodes.

Homer is one of my heroes.

Marge: Oh Homey, you always try to say the nicest things.

Homer: It's not easy with you talkin' all the time.

Does anyone remember WZIR 98.5, circa 1980-81?

Edit: Oops, I see that Philly McButterpants already posted this one.
