  1.

Also got the Ball State wonder Jonathan Newsome, although he's injured.

TJ Graham is on the Alouettes practice squad :D

TJ Graham - wow, he is still working at his craft.

Here is a link to all CFL rosters:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_CFL_team_rosters

Tonight's Calgary @ Ottawa game features a few ex-Bills (mostly just training camp guys)

    Ottawa

    76 Landon Cohen DL

    28 Javier Arenas DB

    Calgary:

    82 Jarrett Boykin WR

  2. Ahhhh, let the games begin! Do you have a favorite in the CFL?

I'm kind of torn between Hamilton and Toronto, and root for those guys unless they are playing each other.

Yes but what the hell is a Redblack?

Quite seriously, I think they are named for the red and black plaid shirts traditionally worn by lumberjacks.

When Ottawa had the Roughriders, they were named for the logging rough riders (riding logs down rivers?), whereas the Saskatchewan Rough Riders were named for the ranching rough riders (riding horses, etc.).

    Fun stuff.

  3. Could I get an opinion on this. I like this idea by Berman, however, should they have gone with a numeral "ZERO" or the letter "O" they chose as wagons are circled like an "O".

The letter O or number zero would likely be ovals. The circle would likely be hard to find.

  4.

Every QB you mentioned has far more value to their respective team than Phillip Rivers. As usual, you contribute nothing to the topic except your own terrible opinions as if anyone thinks your snark is in the least bit amusing or clever.

I think plans that constitute watching this team sputter until hopefully the savior comes 3+ years from now are terribly upsetting.

26CornerBlitz adding nothing to a topic? Hah! That's pretty funny.

Who has a plan taking 3+ years? Are you just pulling this stuff out of your ass?

  5.

This is weird to me since years ago, King criticized us for hiring an old retiree in Buddy Nix when there were young and rising superstars - like Doug Whaley (he mentioned Doug by name) - we could have nabbed to be GM.

Then again, people are entitled to change their minds as more information comes in.

    Hah!

    Gotcha, Peter King!

You probably did not think you would held accountable for that Doug Whaley remark, did you?

    Nice research, Hondo!

  6. Man, JW loves to position himself to get a little face time. Can't blame him, that handsome devil.

I think you guys are nuts. Zay will be day one #2, he's very polished

Hey, don't lump the rest of us in with #34fan on this - that opinion expressed is his own!

Zay could very well be the #2 when the season starts, IMO.

  7. Sounds familiar!

Success said: "I'm the exact same way, year round. Love the Bills."

Yep. I don't watch hockey, baseball, basketball. I watch NASCAR, F1, etc but not much once there is any kind of football available (CFL, NFL pre-season)

    Just Da Bills...

  8. I haven't seen anything from JW since he got to Buffalo...He might have been still recovering from injury, I don't know, but I haven't seen anything that says he can produce like MG did in a back-up role...I do hope this RB from UB they picked up in UDFA sticks with the team tho...I've only seen his highlight video, but it looked pretty good

The kid from UB is shifty! His highlights are fun to watch.

  9.

Yep. I liked him as a late round flier. I wouldn't mind the Bills taking a shot. He has as much chance as some of the rest of our rogues gallery at the position.

Bill, have you seen the Brandon Reilly highlights? This kid has a knack for adjusting and finding the ball!

  10.

Getting over it works both ways.

Funny watching all the newbie blockheads go thru their first "apologists" season on TSW.

We've been thru this 19 times/years now........17 consecutive of which haven't resulted in a successful season.......when it comes to your opinion, consider a look at the scoreboard before you crap it out of your keyboard.

WTF are you talking about? I am commenting on some poster that was accusing the Bills of stealing Carolina info.

You're spewing crap at me for that?

BTW, I've been around TSW for 20+ years.

  11. I sure hope there was no collusion with Carolina's Asst GM Brandon Beane during the draft. If so I would find that VERY hypocritical and I for one would not want him to become the new GM of the Bills. Talk about having trust issues!

Some jackass (alleged Bills fan) brought this up on draft weekend, like he wanted to start an investigation.

Like Carolina was the only team that scouted Zay Jones and Dawkins.

    Get over it.

  12. I love the 17 Bills. This was a top 10 scoring O with Taylor throwing to backup WR and guys off the street. We lose TD Mike and Woods , but potentially upgrade RT, aND WR with Zay and a healthy Sammy. The O has potential to grow even more. Elite run game.

And we had tons of injuries on D. A chaotic , unorganized scheme and with the talent feel they improve vastly on D.

I'm just confused why ppl are so down on this team. Very talented, and most likely a big upgrade in coaching and accountability, why not us

Yep. Lots of folks can't see past the gloom.

Last year's fat ass coach didn't feel like coaching, so handed it off to the OC or to his fat ass brother (trying to revive Rob's career).

I am always optimistic when a new coach comes in, but McDermott is different. I expect he will be a successful HC here for an extended period of time. I believe they got it right this time.

Many posters here just whine because they never heard of Tre White or Dion Dawkins. I am excited to see what Dawkins can do. The RT position was finally addressed.

  13. I'd honestly take the trade offer on the table from KC and go from there.

27: Tre White, CB, LSU - Love the pick, scheme fit and value. Day 1 starter on the boundary, potential to be an NFL #1 CB.

44: DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame - Taking a punt on the final QB I think has the potential to start in the league. Coachable flaws and a scheme fit.

75: Chris Godwin, WR, Penn State - Boundary WR to start alongside Sammy. High value as a Day 1 starter.

91: Tedric Thompson, FS, Colorado - Another potential starter. Ball hawk with incredible coverage instincts.

149: Jordan Leggett, TE, Clemson - Seam threat option, receiving upgrade at TE2, needs work as a blocker.

156: Anthony Walker Jr, LB, Northwestern - Versatile LB that can initially back up either WLB or SLB.

163: Matt Milano, LB, BC - Keep the pick as is. Same as Walker, can back up early, plus ST player.

171: Sam Tevi, OT, Utah - Athletic fit, former DL turned OT, betting on upside to get a swing tackle at the very least.

195: Shalom Luani, SS, Washington State - Another potential ST stud. Box safety with athletic traits and can thump vs the run.

Blokes, don't you feel a more urgent need for help at RT? You leave that position to a late 6th round hopeful.

I am very glad they targeted Dawkins and then found a way to get him. Some people feel OK with trading up for Zay Jones, perhaps because they had heard of him in lots of pre-draft chatter.

But most fans (myself included) had never heard of Dion Dawkins before - because he was listed as OG - and I only knew of the top 5 OTs.

  14. I feel you have the most appropriate screen name on here. What's your beef with Zay? Are you seeing a completely different player than me?

The full game film I am watching is of a quick, big bodied receiver with great hands.

I have to disagree with you here. He does not seem at all like a weed user.

He is very negative and uptight - nothing like the relaxed weed smokin' type of person you might expect with Bud and 420 in his screen name.

  15. Still got two picks.

    Never has a 4th.

So used a 3rd and 5th to come get thier RT (wouldnt have made it to Thier pick. Was going next to Car)

Used 3rd to get their No 2 WR. A top producing WR.

That is good use of 5th rounds when you have 4 of them

Major, yes indeed those are picks well spent!

Some people are unable to see the value of spending multiple picks to get to a critical player. They pine for the player that traded pick could have become!

Those extra picks should definitely be used as ammo when you need to target a particular player.

I love what the Bills draft team are doing so far. I had not heard of Dawkins, because he was listed as a guard. Then to read his story was great. Here is the RT we have been dreaming about.
