This year Bills owe $1,833,333/17 per game.  \

Hines played 7 games so far this season missing week 6 game against WTF (concussion) with Colts not having bye week.

Players can only play 17 regular games a season but not sure if being inactive counts as "playing".

Likely he will be inactive vs Jets.

If you are on the roster, you get the per game bonuses.

  2. Maybe it was horrible, and stand-alone it’s a pretty bad sequence of events. But Maybe they get a franchise QB from the pick next year and it ends up working out for them. Many people said similar things when the bills traded the pick where Pat Mahomes was taken, until Allen proved himself in this league, and the trade looks like a win for both parties now.

My point isn’t that the trade resulting from picking Chubb at 5 will beat out on drafting Allen at 5, but the story has not been fully written yet.

Also, there have been many worse returns than a 1st after 4 years of play for a top 5 pick. Take Baker Mayfield from the same draft, who went 1 OA, then traded him for scraps to Carolina.

Coming into the season everyone was drooling over how good AFC would be at the top, now, almost at the midway point of season, it appears the NFC is better. Philly, Dallas, San Fran, Minny are super bowl caliber teams,  whereas in AFC, it’s looking like just Buff and KC.

Titans have won 5 straight and their 2 losses have been to a 6-2 and a 6-1 team. At least as impressive as Dallas’s 2 losses to a 7-0 and a 3-5 team. San Fransisco is 4-4 and got blown out by 21 points in week 7, does the at sound like a Super Bowl team? Or any more than the 4-3 bengals who made the Super Bowl are?

Wow he played the first 7 games including the most recent vs the Bills and then at the 49ers.

He will miss the next 2 games which are at home where he will surely be missed vs the Titans and Jags.

Titans could surprise, Derrick Henry has been getting 100+ yards each week and the titans are 4-0 since they faced the Bills. The Chiefs defense is also weak against the run, if they don’t let the chiefs get an early lead, it could be a tight game.

Dumb questions like this deserve a Mack Truck’s  worth of Santa’s coal dumped in your living room this year.

SMH…maybe one of the best safeties ever…and this where you qo?

    …SMH

Daquan Jones has been playing like a monster, I remember after the chiefs game that of all DTs he was getting double teamed the most, and still had a top 5 pass rush win rate among DTs. Along with that, our run defense has improved to being currently the best in the league. That is indicative of good line play.

While I’m not a fan of him in any way imaginable, Tyreek Hill has to be over Devonte Adams. And I would also put Ja’Marr Chase over DA as well.

I think if you’re picking 3 WR, I think I would go Diggs, Chase, and Adams.
Diggs for my chain mover, Chase for the big play threat, and Adams for catching TDS.
They each can do all 3, but each is probably a bit better than the others in those facets.
Hill and Chase fill the same role, so I would probably be picking between them.

Update: Apparently there's already a rule about this:

Makes sense, as others have mentioned it’s definitely a conflict of interest. I saw some talk upthread about the potential for a ref to make calls somewhat in favor of the players that give them autographs, and it’s definitely possible. It also would be hard for a player to say no to a ref for fear of unfavorable rulings in the future I would think.

My fantasy team is looking really lame too.

I never pay attention to BYE weeks, as I always assume I can just grab a guy or 2 if necessary to fill those gaps. Not this time! 😅

    Josh Allen

    Stefon Diggs

    AJ Brown

    Dalvin Cook

    Tyler Higbee

    Dallas Goedert

I had to pick up Taysom Hill & set him as a FLEX starter I'm so desperate, & I still have 2 slots to fill... I may just not even try, as I'm not cutting anyone else.

Could be worse still… I’m in a 14 person league with some friends, and half as a joke, one picked every single bills player and has been starting the bills each week. He’s been 5-1 so far, but that’s changing to 5-2 as he can’t field a team.

Ok? And the Bills have the snow to their advantage. Everyone has home field advantage in some way shape or form.

The Bills have the advantage of being more used to the cold/snow because they are in NY.

The Dolphins have the advantage of being more used to the heat because they are in Florida.

The amount of snow/the cold is not different for either team, and so the bills only advantage is the experience dealing with it.

The Dolphins have a sideline that is significantly cooler than their opponents from the shade. They have the advantage of less heat, as well as more experience dealing with heat.

First of all, it wasn't me.  Second of all, he has 2,257 total yards.  Divided by 6, it's 372.8.  So yes, the OP got it wrong...by .7 yard (I assume he rounded up).

My bad for saying you, you were defending him so I mistook you for being the OP. But also, the OP said 317.67 yards per game, quite a bit off from the 372.8 figure you give.

    Total yards per game.

No, passing yards. They have him at 257 rushing yards, which if you take away from the 1980 passing yards they list would give an average on 287, so your number would still be off if that was the case.

Edit: I see what happened, You took the ESPN stats for passing yards which hasn’t updated the 6th game and divided the previous total by 6 @Doc

    It's not just today.

His poor instincts regularly cost this team possessions and points.

I think that the Bills signing Crowder and also drafting Shakir in the same offseason is a very good indication that they are ready to move on as well.

If they were ready to move on from McKenzie they would have just not signed him this offseason. IIRC Crowder is on a one year deal, so also doesn’t change a thing. And I think adding Crowder+Shakir was more about replacing Beasley, who McKenzie was backing up.

even Adams isn't offering these goofy explanations as to why he tossed the guy.

Not saying I agree with Augie completely here, but Adams made a very similar excuse to both points 1 and 2.
    1) “I want to apologize to the guy, there was some guy running off the field, and he ran, like jumped in front of me coming off the field”

    2) “that was just frustration mixed with him literally just running in from of me.”
Obviously in an apology, he’s not gonna say you shouldn’t startle an angry athlete, but it wasn’t terribly far from I was (an) angry (athlete) and he startled me.

Same, I never understood the move. They're the #2 seed right now and SB is having a monster year. He's playing himself into a long-term extension.

CMC on the other hand isn't blowing up the league like he's done in the past and Carolina is a dumpster fire. I wonder if injuries are finally taking their toll on him, or if Carolina is just too bad to be carried. It's much more reasonable they'd want to trade him, but I wouldn't see it happening until after the season along with a firing of coach and new QB.

The Giants are actually the current 6 seed of the NFC. Eagles currently hold the division, and the cowboys have the tiebreaker for the first wildcard spot.

Yeah, basically if the Bills don't add him to the active roster within 3 weeks he has to be put on IR.

Interesting that while the Games missed was cut from 6 weeks to 4 weeks, the time allowed to make a roster decision after those games expired was also cut from 5 weeks to 3 weeks. So in previous seasons, the teams had til week 11 to make a decision on a player, not they only have til week 7.

That probably was due to the IR rule changes in length and amount of players allowed to come back from IR.
