Like Kupp, we have a great slot guy in Shakir.  We need an outside guy to open up the field.

Agree.  Kupp seems to have lost significant ability to separate from man coverage, which is exactly what we don't need more of.  Deebo is a bit more interesting, but I'd like to think we could find someone better.

2 years in a row ,ball in his hand on the final drive. Both years he came up empty. I don't know what the problem is but there is a problem. All season he makes these plays. I've had enough talk of defense. the "MVP" has the chance to win it and he pukes on the field.

Spags outfoxed both Brady and Allen with the blitzes, but even then Kincaid had a reasonable chance to catch that incredible heave by Josh.  I was surprised how much of a chance he gave Kincaid to catch it with that blitz coming.

It was not a desperation prayer. He read the defense and knew Kincaid would be open on the deep hook route because KC had vacated that entire area of the field in an all out blitz. It was an elite QB putting the team on his back in a critical moment with an incredible read and throw - and I believe Allen and Mahomes are the only two players in the NFL capable of making that throw in that moment. Unfortunately it is lost to history because Kincaid choked. Same old story.

Thank you.  The posters calling Allen a choker must be cheering some other team.  Considering the amount of plays he is called on to make with an offense that lacks star power it's amazing we made it as far as we did this year.  Pundits were suggesting we would go 7-10 or 8-9 this year and miss the playoffs entirely.

We need to use some of the cap space that is freed up next year to do something about our lack of defensive pressure on the QBs when dealing with the elite QBs like Jackson and Mahomes.  We need to get speed on offense. and depth in the secondary.

  4. I have to admit, out of the 4 teams that played today, this was the result I thought would be the least interesting. 1. Bills - Commanders; 2. Bills - Eagles; 3. Chiefs - Commanders; 4. What we got.  I'm not really sure.  I probably will only watch it in spurts.

Re: receiver separation - is that ALL on the players?

I see KC with a less than stellar group of wideouts, and yet guys are almost always open.

Speed.  Their receivers play much faster than our group from what I can tell.  When our offense is spinning its wheels I always feel like I'm watching a team in slow motion.  But, I do agree our coaching staff is below the qulity of the Chiefs' coaching staff.

I actually like Rogers.  But am curious as to how Saleh was holding him back?  By all accounts Rogers & Hackett ran the offense without any "help" from Saleh so how is firing him helping Rogers get the offense to be more productive?  The only thing that makes sense is that Saleh balked at bringing Adams in because of the cost.

I'm reading now that Hackett may be relieved of his playcalling duties.  Apparently, at least two offensive players complained about the offensive coaching, leadsership, and playcalling.  Hackett is once again on his way out of a coaching situation, it appears.

Raiders would have to eat his salary this year because we don't have the cap space but I imagine we'd have to pay extra in draft picks for that.

Dead cap hits of 15 mil in 25 and just shy of 8 mil in 2026.

Edit: Apparently those dead cap numbers apply to the Raiders and whoever trades for him can simply cut him after this year with no dead cap money.

    Someone can correct that though.

Eat most of his salary for this year.  I have read that we have about $3M in cap space at the moment, so we could technically use a bit of that if those numbers are true.

  8. Well, let's hope the team just stinks away this year or something.  This team is so frustratingly inconsistent that I have to put something on the coaching.  That was frankly the worst game I've ever seen from Josh Allen, although the OL didn't help him much.  I think teams feel like our receivers can't separate downfield so that can go for pressure on Allen.

I could have played baseball at Cortland and then been drafted and been a part of the Yankees dynasty.  But I didnt and I wasn't.

Now tell me about the line of scrimmage of the teams that actually won the superbowls. The game is won there late in the year and in the postseason.

I think it depends on the big picture.  If you have a great QB and a good gameplan, you can win SBs without "stud" receivers like the Patriots.  However - and this is a big however - you still need one or two guys who can separate in man coverage.  That's what concerns me after the last game.  The Ravens pass rush was an issue, but I did not see a lot of open receivers out there.  They were getting blanketed a large part of the time.  An upgrade at receiver could provide a bit more of a boost than in other years.

  10. Given the offensive line was struggling in pass protection, it was not a good call.  This was one of the worst games I've seen under McDermott, and he's laid a bunch of eggs.  They were completely outclassed by the guys on the other side of the field.  The Ravens watched film on the Bills and they had Brady's number.

I'm not sure whether we should be worried, or whether we just matched up poorly with the Ravens tonight.  But, I do know the Ravens will be in the playoffs so we need to be able to keep up with them, which we didn't do at all tonight.

Let's hope some of our starters on defense get healthy.  We need them badly.
