1/24/21 AFC Championship Game Postgame Thread
Do The Reich Thing replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just don’t get the ineptitude of this defense. They looked like the complete opposite of what they were last week against the Ravens. They’re either great or they’re terrible and today we got the terrible. They were not physical, we’re obviously intimidated, they weren’t aggressive, and there was no passion. With exception of Poyer’s one hit on CEH. Same with the o-line today. The Bills got absolutely manhandled in the trenches and the coaches didn’t try anything to change the flow. They just stayed the course and thought their plan would eventually work. This is where egos and ideologies of these coaches can get so frustrating. If something isn’t working you try something else, you don’t keep repeating mistakes. That’s almost the literal definition of insanity. -
32 rush yards from our running backs

Agreed on Yeldon. He provided a nice burst tonight. If he actually got some decent playing time I think he could do some damage. -
McD does a good job at learning from mistakes when you give him time to digest it. I’m not worried long term, but it frustrated the hell outta me when they didn’t change anything or try something else out when the “soft zone” wasn’t working. Coaches are their own worst enemies in the moment with their egos.

In order for there to be a rivalry we have to beat them once.- 81 replies
