  1. Drafts are made for filling holes and Tolen Avery reminds me of Kyle Williams. Although, not having a pedigree from an established college; could be a steady force in a role to bridge leadership and learn from Kyle how to have composure on the defensive line. Stuffs the run and draws tackles for losses.
  2. Already addressed how to improve the offensive line; I look at it as for some the seasons over in college and they get a harder eye on them during the combine and days down to the draft. And, not all bowl games have been played yet; if a player has a flat game his draft stock slides. Win or lose in bowl games or playoffs being flat or replaced and it changes things.
  3. If he is there and Levi Wallace drops off after the season or in training camp could see it. Is McCoy a dime a dozen or a great veteran talent? Need to start looking at re-evaluating the running back position as well and Ivory as I’ve continually stated for a power runner isn't getting any younger.
  4. Makes sense as McCoy has lost a step and Ivory isn’t getting any younger. Have to take steps for a youth movement. Daboll is someone who likes having a power runner like Ivory and a quicker type like McCoy. So, you’d need replacements with Bryce Love and LJ Scott for those roles. Mitchell Wilcox is reliabile for a tight-end, and Marquise Brown is a good quick out option. Current draft boards don’t really show conclusively what will happen. I think in hindsight of terms although in the seventh round was thinking of Liberty Flames Tolen Avery as an undrafted rotational defensive tackle and light edge rusher or in the seventh round.
  5. Tried to address the line and give options for receiving out of the back field, big targets, and quick outs.
  6. Still cannot understand why my mock “shocked” everybody; I’m thinking how draft stock can tread down. Guys go from first to fifth if it’s not something like a Quarterback.
  7. 5th Round (2 Picks) Dalton Risner Kansas State good pick up to bolster the line and provide dept. Offensive tackle good drive off the call compliments Sam Mustipher. David Edwards Wisconsin offensive tackle; big and an impact player to suck up double teams in pass protection and run blocking. 6th Round Marquise Brown Oklahoma wide receiver for possession and short range quick out for Allen. 7th Round (2 Picks) Kevin Harmon North Carolina State wide receiver big body for blocking and targets over the middle for Allen. Will play smart and be a good over the middle type playing smart with his body in space. Julian Love Notre Dame corner back providing good depth in the rotational secondary and zone coverage schemes. That concludes my mock draft.
  8. Can still be a fan of the team even if I disagree with McDermott. McCoy and Ivory are not getting any younger; so there, don’t me because you know I’m right.
  9. Can see the point but Ivory and McCoy are not going to last forever and that is what we need to patch. LJ Scott is the prototypical short yardage back and blocker on jumbo packages. Bryce Live is a quick runner who could learn from McCoy while LJ despite injuries is more in line with Ivory. The tight-end position though needs a reliable target like Mitchell Wilcox. For Jalen Jelks it’s about the future of Trent Murphy and his current injuries.
  10. Not expecting him as a full timer just as a short yardage and goal line back to push a pile or on pass protection.
  11. 1st Round: Bryce Love Running back out of Stanford good speed and good body awareness and vision. 2nd Round: Sam Mustipher Cenrer our of Notre Dame good body control and agility fighting to avoid sacks and tackles for loss at the point of attack 3rd Round: LJ Scott Bruising running back Michigan State for short yardage situations and jumbo packages at the goal line 4th Round (2 Picks) Jalen Jelks A bigger and healthier addition to the line backing and defensive end core. Which could help ease uncertainty with Trent Murphy facing recurring injuries. Out of University of Oregon Mitchell Wilcox Tight-end our of South Florida a competent replacement for Clay. Good body awareness and a target for Allen in the clutch.
  12. OP is looking at draft and mock draft reports along with seeing who would fit the offense. Are you bringing anything new to that conversational topic? LJ Scott looks like a battering ram we could take in the 3rd or 5th provides he’s still there. Could see him fitting a jumbo goal line package or close yardage situation. Ivory and Shady are not exactly spring chickens and we need to start looking at future running back. LJ Scott (Michigan State) and Bryce Love (Stanford) would be welcome additions with getting Sam Mustipher (Notre Dame) into the groove as the center of the future on the o-line
  13. Could mix in LJ Scott with his height and frame as the bowling ball back in goal line jumbo formations in the 3rd or 5th round if he’s still there.
  14. http://amp.miamiherald.com/sports/college/acc/university-of-miami/article222779790.html Could Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor be a draft day replacement and a part of Daboll’s run game strategy?
  15. If he makes it five years and isn’t lured to the college ranks.
  16. You mean when they wanted to trade up but took Loserman as the safe and conservative pick? Yeah, safe and conservative worked so well. Did you burn that Peterman jersey yet?
  17. So, if McDermott stuck with Peterman would he still be given a free pass? Come on guys you make it okay to quit a season for picks. It goes into lame duck if McDermott continues to suck.
  18. Marrone did not quit on the team; Pegula with Whaley wanted him to change his staff and approach. Wow, so many bitter Buffalo Bills fans talking up McDermott who started Peterman; calling it indefensible but always willing to look the other way for the process. Bitter enough to mock a guy who beat us in the playoffs and we are out because McDermott refused to move on from Peterman. Both teams are not going in grow up.
  19. Living in Maine get the jokes on how we gave up on Ben for Loserman the next sad years continually followed. Instead of being dominating or showing any real tendency to find a Quarterback we went cheap. Drafting EJ was a mistake along with the jumbo contracts which Doug Whaley enacted. This year playing Anderson and Peterman without going for someone like Barkley and Sean sticking to Panthers rejects and his own draft day abomination Peterman sealed the deal for anything Sean does in the future.
  20. Went to the AFC Championship last season and beat us in the playoffs; quit being so bitter neither of us goes to the playoffs this year. It’s kind of like a slap fight between two old men with dementia over pudding and purée.
  21. Does the anointed one in Sean McDermott get a pass for Peterman? Considering even before print dried on the audio to print transcripts Beane has cut him? That’s not internal dissension or Beane looking to protect his own neck; is it? Just because it is Sean bringing him in; doesn’t mean Brandon won’t save his own neck and trim the fat on the coaching staff. Let me guess keeping Peterman was indefensible but Sean cannot be judged, right?
  22. Two Super Bowl rings and multiple playoff appearances. You guys all sound bitter that Doug beat us and went to the AFC Championsship game. Nothing like bitter Bills fans I guess giving up on Chris Hogan was a good thing too.
  23. Wow anybody else remember having Jim Schwartz here? Or, what about Kyle Orton? Marrone wasn’t allowed to protect his staff or have a say in what genius Doug had wanted to have happened. They beat a Colts team which blew us out. Just because McDermott broke the drought doesn’t automatically give him a pass for this season. What other Coach in recent memory blames his rookie Quarterback for receivers dropping balls, screams at his offensive coordinator, and demands rhythm passing drills be slowed down? Dick Jauron had a good year with the Bears and not much else.
  24. They did look sharp but again they play in Tennessee home of the *Music City Miracle* and a recently retired official Jeff Triplette who retired after gifting Tennessee a playoff win last season. Retired a day after the game when I looked him up found an incompetent IRS auditing agent who was basically punted from office to office and bungled one investigation so badly; that even the IRS didn’t back him.
