Can you retrieve posts going back that far?
I remember seriously questioning the move back in 2017 so if it's possible to retrieve older posts I'm sure you can find one.
Let me ask you this.
How many college quarterbacks that had stats similar to Allen's turned out to be good in the NFL?
I don't know the answer to this but I'd be very surprised if it's more than a VERY few.
There's absolutely no evidence that Allen can be as good as Mahomes.
Mahomes put up MUCH better numbers in college and many top analysts weren't very high on Allen. Most said his bust potential is very high.
If Pegula had any football smarts he would've made the decision to take Mahomes.
He's going to drive this team into the ground just like he did the Sabres.
Someone needs to be held accountable for this.
If it was McDermott and Beane's decision get their asses the hell out of Buffalo.
They don't deserve to be running the team anymore.
Seriously how the !@#$ did we not take this guy?
This guy is !@#$ing sensational and might be the best quarterback in the league for YEARS to come.
Not taking him is absolutely inexcusable and someone needs to be fired for this epic mistake.
Cleveland had it down to either Mayfield or Allen for the 1st overall pick in the draft.
So if Mayfield is indeed good, this is very encouraging because it shows the Browns GM knows how to evaluate quarterbacks.
