This is why I think there will be at least six WRs drafted tomorrow …
Agree. I kinda think this forces Beane to trade up to nab one.

2 year contract.
That's a relief. I have low expectations, it's a good thing they can cut bait soon.
Lindy's record in NJ is the same as Granato's record in Buffalo. The fan boys tell me it is because Lindy had poor goaltenders in NJ. I think that is a weak rationalization of poor performance.

The browns and colts say hello.
And the Rams, Raiders, and the Chargers.
$28 million to leave year 7 is a drop in the bucket.
EDIT UPDATE: I got the wrong lease here. I posted better: https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/topic/254136-pegulas-selling-25-of-the-bills-per-tim-graham/page/5/#comment-9027190

My preference is for him to retire to preserve his health.
If he came back as a depth player cheap, that would be OK.
I'm not sure I'd want him back as a starter. He has lost some speed. He compensated with his football smarts, but smarts will only get you so far.

Men find their identity in two things: what they do for a living, and their family life.
Belichick lost his coaching gig, and he lost his girlfriend.
He must not be a very happy man right now.

Allen would have to be old and fading for a season or 2 before I would consider trading himYeah. And Allen "old and fading" won't happen until he's about 38.. about 10 years from now.

My ex-wife never made 1 of mine, actually the oncologist commented as much (made 5 years Dec 8th & my divorce came through Feb 24th this year).
I thought divorce was the worst thing that ever happened to me, until I came to realize it was the second best thing that ever happened to me.
Congratulations on moving forward. It gets better each day.

is that I now believe the narrative on Josh and the Bills in general has changed. We are now according to the media a non contender. We lost both our top two receivers and one being a top five guy in Diggs. We had to let go of our safeties, our Center, and our best pass rusher from last season.
The window is closed. The Bills won't be a threat, and Josh has a rag tag group to throw to.
This to me opens up the door for Josh to elevate his game this season...to stay within himself and the offense to put up a phenomenal season which will give the media no other option but to recognize his greatness and finally let him win his first MVP award.
This team is not what the media is portraying it in my eyes, but that doesn't matter because they have already decided we are worse, that Josh has no real receivers, and that we are yesterday's news.
It's a good spot to be in for not just the team, but for Josh and his MVP chances
It's always good to be underestimated.... and then surprise them. That's how I lived my professional life. It's a good life hack.
I am always uncomfortable when the Bills are highly rated, like they were last season.

On the TBD news page, Syracuse Post suggests the Bills might even trade down.
"The Bills might ultimately be content with letting the draft play out and addressing the position at No. 28 — or even possibly trading back."
That would cause a melt down around here.

My heartfelt condolences to whomever is losing the home game. I remember when the Bills lost a home game to London, it really sucked.

What would be very telling is josh and Diggs shaking hands at the end of the game like daboll and McDermott did. 😳
Yes.. an awkward handshake for sure.

For those who don't know, I will add that HappyDays is very selective about what he shares in order to protect his inside source(s), but he has been shown unambiguously in the past, to have inside gouge. I wish he'd share more of the "things that (he) know(s)" but I "get it".
I think it's also telling that very few Bills players commented on his "goodbye" post or on the trade news, in contrast to how news of Gabe Davis FA signing was received.
I suspect no one wants to be the source of "bulletin board material" before the Texans game this season.

Heavy overcast in Amherst. Bummer.
At least I will experience the darkness.

Yep. My bad. With all the Bills drama going on, I forgot the NE news.

You can always count on Bill Belichick to make a head scratcher.
Though, that may not be the case for 2024. He has a high pick and the QB that NE desperately needs will be there.

I've been a Bills fan since 1980. I've seen them come, I've seen them go.
For me, the Salary Cap dump of 1999 hurt the most.
Sometimes their departure stings. But it stings like ripping off a Band-Aid, it hurts for a moment, then goes away.
I doubt many here will rue the departure of Diggs next January, except for a few of the "I told you so" types.

Brandon Beane gets his Mad Dog 2020?
I've never had the stuff myself.

I like to say the punchlines before they do.
Did you know Jerry is 69 years old now? It's crazy how time flies. He will always be 30-something to me.
