That's part of the blame, but there is so much more that AJ sucking.

    Add:

Trying to screw over Richie and watching him fall off the cliff.

Woods neck - No one saw it coming.

    Keeping Peterman than starting him.

Not picking up any quality WR's.

    Hiring Daboll

Add it all up and we have a sh^t show.

BillsRdue, I am having a hard time trying to find just another single factor to add to your list!! good job!! seriously can I just copy paste it and share outside of here? thanks for your quality pst in a pood quality topic from OP....

I want someone that knows how to build an offense. Someone that can evaluate talent beyond how they fit into a culture. I want someone that can call plays on offense when needed. Good Defensive Coordinators are a dime a dozen. Defenses no longer win in this NFL. They keep you in games, but they do not win them. McDermott is a glorified D-Coordinator, who is over his head as a head coach.

...chofer, I wonder if you think the person you want exists and is available in the market right no, if you don´t state that you're just putting words to the ideal candidate´s profile, and I think the question is looking for names, feasible solutions, thanks in advance if you could complete or round up your answer...

Lool at it the other way; Bills fans know how to have fun. Win or lose, it's just a game. Bills fans are used to this, and won't let it stop them from enjoying themselves and their hard earned money spent on a bad football team (on offense).

hit the nail...what our lives would be like, if our world stopped when we lose?? ...

What's that tell you about the guys in charge?  They are clueless

I don´t know, GGT... then, maybe I am the clueless here, but no matter what the plan, you will only know until you execute the plan, and the

guys responsible to execute the plan are the ones wearing the helmets and pads, led by NP in this case and the results are what we have seen,

now back to the war room and improve the plan... just my 2 cents,

Instead we overpaid for a broken QB because we have no line and our WR's cannot get separation.  I banged the table build the line and draft skill players with those picks.  12, 53, 55 we could of drafted Billy Price and a competent WR.  Why give so much for the QB if there is such a dearth of talent on the offense?   Our offense is historically bad, and will only get worse with Peterman.  Archie Manning is one of the most skilled QBs of all time.  But he didn't do much in NFL because he played on a line that couldn't block and he had no WRs.  I don't care if you put Tom Brady or Aaron Rogers at QB for the Bills.  They would get pummeled and injured by week 6.  WTF is the point of drafting a QB and putting off fixing a horrendous online and fielding the worst bunch of WR's in the NFL?

And back to my point.  Our offense is one of the worst the past 20 years.  Stats show this.  League scoring is at an all time high, and we cannot score a TD.  We need all the picks we can get.  Shady is 31 and way overpaid.  Ivory is just as effective.  Why include Shady in the rebuild?  I would of rather traded him, and drafted his replacement.  Tate was given away.  Demaryous was given away.  Josh Gordon was given away.  Beane could of made some moves.  But instead we are going to roll with Peterman, Benjamin as our #1, Andre as our 2, Zay in the slot.......WTF is that?

Pete, maybe...just maybe..  they drafted Allen 1 year earlier than they expected him to start for us, so they didn´t care about fixing the O-line this season. You can tell they really trusted last season´s 5 pick game for NP was a fluke and they trusted him enough to risk starting with him...

What offense will maximize each players talents? That's his job.

What if ... even if he ¨maximizes ¨ such talents, the result is below average? I swear I embrace the ¨adapt a system to the players´ talents or strengths, and not the other way..."  speech and all, but as many reiterate here, the issue is that with this talent, there is not enough ¨maximization ¨ in order to win consistently!! we need the system to flush out the players that can´t step up to it!!

There is no questioning the guy's talent, just like with Owens. His antics however are just the same. It is a pattern that has been clearly evident after his first season in the NFL. His outbursts, his statements to the media, all of it is eerily reminiscent of Terrell Owens. He is clearly a "me first" kind of guy. the latest couple incidents being the interview and walking off of the field before halftime, due to the dehydration of course . I bet the Giants are already regretting that contract. Once it becomes financially feasible I would not be surprised to see him release, probably around 2020. Once that happens he will bounce around the league.

get er done Brandon... TO Chapter II for us, nevertheless...?

Lots o debate and discussion on WGR this morning over the Derek Anderson signing.  Both Sal and Jeremy speculated what it means for Josh Allen and reference Morts “ possible playing time” tweet.

Jeremy thinks there’s a good chance of happening.  He feels that if the Bills coaching staff sees Allen leaving plays on the field, while the defense plays well, they won’t hesitate to pull him under the mantra “win now, win in the future.”

Sal says he can see it happening and cites the decision to sit Tyrod last year, that McDermott is willing to make that decision.  He says as long as Allen shows improvement, it’s a non-issue.  But if there’s some more games like GB and TEN, then it could happen.

Both are hoping it doesn’t come to Anderson replacing Allen, but if the Bills don’t get better QB it very well could happen.

What say you?  Do you think the Bills will actually bench Allen?  I don’t think it happens but who knows?

I don´t know about their FO as much as Sal seems to know...but the ¨win now...¨and DA  don´t belong in the same phrase IMHO...when was the last time Derek won more than 2 games in a row? please cite specific examples were he did it with a patched line...  he is coming more as QB/coach package for Allen the kid, because the team doesn't have an experienced QB coach now,

I am sure Coach McD is just waiting for your explanation why they can't carry three when more than half of teams do.  You may not like it but they can and you are not part of any 'we' including them.

Are you talking about your fantasy football team maybe?

hahahaha!!   +1... I like this kind of hostility in this place!!

31 - 6 Titans.  It's not that they are that good, it's that the Bills are that bad.

Titans take this one in my picks...I base this more on the *T1TS*, than the Bills who I still can´t figure out how bad they are going to be ROS, but sure I think that by beating both the AFC Champ runner up and the NFL Champ, TEN deserves more credit.

Yep. Big time blunder. the QB coach never played the position before and neither did the QC. There's no experienced vet to help him out. Just Nate Peterman. Even a washed up vet like a Matt Moore would be more useful to him right now.

Let´s bring Moore as a vet, after all, he seems the most recurring name around this lands,.. and we have Vontae´s roster spot

There's just no way that I can come up with a scenario that Terry and Kim signed off on a total "tear it down" and rebuild plan.  Certainly not to be the laughinstocks of the NFL.
He has gone through years of pain dealing with that on the NHL side.  Now I get that McBeane sold to them in the offseason,, that Buffalo has to get through a season with a ton of dead cap money, and will have to work in a rookie QB.  But I also believe they were told they have a gamer in Peterman, a vet in McCarron to stabilize the ship, a solid Defense coming off a playoff season...
and some free agents to add to the mix.  I have no doubt the Pegulas were told they might take a step back, but no way they would become a league joke and risk alienating his football fanbase
like what happened to his NHL fansbase.   In the NFL, you don't have to SUCK to build a winner.  What you do is you stay relevant and reload at the positions of need as attrition happens.

If I were the Pegulas, I'd be walking around pissed off today.  Yes=- Allen looks decent but the amount of holes they have to fill are staggering.  Some of the players McBeane thought
would be decent are not playing well or have been flat out released. I don't get some of their roster moves. For example, why would a team desperate for a good, solid posssession receiver would get rid of O'Leary and keep Logan Thomas?  That dude can't play the position or be trusted to catch a pass.

Overall, the McBeane era has taken a huge hit this year for me.  I had a ton of faith in them, but it's wavering.

Can´t defend any the moves you listed here, however L Thomas as a TE was ¨sold¨ as a move to have a 3rd QB and save one roster spot, just my 2 cents

Chargers also lost and had their own issues (admittedly not as profound), so maybe, maybe not.

While admittedly you could say the OP is cherry picking, you are cherry picking even more ridiculously. If you're taking out the Jacksonville game, then I'm taking out the Patriots games -- besides, in one of those games, the Pats actually scored fewer points than their 2018 average. And then, there you have it, the "illuminating claim" that the Bills played poorly in the 3-game stretch and last week, which is part of the original point.

" If you take out the jags game it would balloon up to 27.5 points per game¨ ...OP lost me  right there as well, I can´t deal with fans that work hard on making a miserable situation worse!!.

Bills lost to a CFL team....

    https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/06/23/nfl-cfl-teams-used-to-meet-in-the-preseason/

In the one and only AFL-CFL game, the Tiger-Cats took apart the Buffalo Bills in Hamilton, 38-21.

In the past 51 years, no NFL team (or AFL, during the league’s remaining years of existence) has ever again played a CFL team, in Canada or elsewhere.  It’s unlikely that it will ever happen again.  Still, every time you hear the name “Tiger-Cats” remember that they own the bragging rights over the Bills and, in turn, the league that absorbed the Buffalo franchise in 1970.

Yeah!  Right. ..as if the current misery we are in needed to go way back to another miserable period for this battered team. ...?

...I believe all of Bills Mafia will be holding their collective breaths.  I know I will be.  Even though I have no confidence in Peterman I also feel somewhat ashamed that I'm fearful of disaster when he takes the field.

If I step back and take a wider view Peterman starting is really a "no lose" situation and I understand why McD made that decision.  If Peterman plays well and the Bills are winning it's a fantastic story of redemption and perhaps Peterman becomes a trade chip.  If he doesn't play well or is injured, it's far easier for McD to go from Nate to Josh than vice-versa and the Allen Era begins.

I'm going to try and enjoy the ride.  Be ready for a huge exhale after that first pass attempt.

Mr. eball, I don´t think anyone , not named Dermott, would´ve put his strategy in better words!!

Money league is preferred but no crazy expensive leagues. I’m thinking $50 or less as an entrance fee I’d be down to join. (If more let me know and I’ll decide)

My preferred fantasy league settings are:

    Standard Scoring

    No kickers.

    No individual defensive players.

12 team league is preferred but I’d go probably as low as an 8.

I am willing to play PPR or Half PPR and in leagues with kickers but I won’t join a league where I have to select defensive players as opposed to a team defense.

Hi SoCoB, maybe too late, but I can invite you to a Std 12 Team League if you're still looking,

Keenan is always a question mark, last year he played a full season so his numbers look great.

Must have defense: Jags look good and am sure someone will over draft the Rams but to me DST is similar to QB that can always find one later than risk draft one sooner.

Value: Ronald Jones. I'm thinking he'll be drafted in RB3 territory but by years end could be an above average RB2.

Break Out: Will Fuller: 3rd year WR that has his starting QB coming back from injury.

Hype Meter: Jimmy Graham in Green Bay. Not sure how I feel about him as Green Bay TEs never excelled but with Jordy in silver & black maybe he lives up to the hype.

Don't Touch: Jerick McKinnon he never broke out in Minnesota and Carlos Hyde was never great in San Francisco.

Now that JMcK ¨broke¨  in Frisco, you were spot on target in your dont-touch take!!
